Sky sports

Agree0 Disagree0

Pardews says he might be out of norwich game too. That would be 7 weeks. Its all pretty odd

Agree0 Disagree0

What's odd? The guy has a fricking knee injury. If the knee is not 100% you can't do anything on it.

Agree0 Disagree0

Its odd that he was supposed to be out for like a week or so, yet hes been out for 5. And theres speculation of a 20m bid from chelsea despite ACoN

Agree0 Disagree0

Chelski won't want him if he is "injury prone"

Agree0 Disagree0

I would sell him for 20mil, injured and suspended to often and we could get an adeqaute replacement plus another decent player for 20mil

Agree0 Disagree0

hes been injured once since he signed... and hasnt been suspended this season he has 3 yellow cards to his name

Agree0 Disagree0

Ino 1 week everyone loves him the next when he gets a knock and everyones goin lets sell him his injury prone OMG hes only been injured 1nce

We didnt pay 6m for a fullback to sit on the bench. Yes Taylor has done well at left back but lets face it,teams are now targeting him. Lets put Santon i n there now to combat the tricky wingers who will murder Taylor. Tiote will be off to Chelsea or Man U in january, hence the interest in Scott Brown, we need to look at a better quality player than someone out the scottish sunday league. Pardew doing a great job and if only Fat man would open his wallet then Carr could scout at a higher level and his judgement cannot be questioned. Europe is defo a possibility if quality is added to squad. Cmon Toon.

Believable11 Unbelievable4

I agree, Ryan Taylor has done a decent job but i think we need to start giving santon a chance, he's a top young player.
And unfortunately i can see tiote going to chelsea in jan too :(
If he does go we should really milk chelsea, ask for £25 million plus Romeu or something. Romeu is talented and barely gets a look in as it is.

Agree0 Disagree0

100% agree on Santon/Rtaylor issue, play the kid already. But Tiote isn't going in Jan, African cup will see to this. He may go in the summer. however i believe Tiote in the past has stated he has no interest in moving to London. I know MA likes to sell players and the plan is always buy low sell high, but i really don't see it.... not yet anyway.

Agree0 Disagree0

It would be odd for tiote to go in january, which the african cup. Doubt we would get Romeu because he has this weird link with barca where they can buy him back at the end of the season. Think if tiote does go to chelsea we should get a player plus cash swap. Sturridge maybe?

Agree0 Disagree0

They wont let sturridge go with drogba and analka rejecting contracts there and hopefully tiote will stay but if any player is going to be part echange it will be analka and ive said for a while bout santon as taylors needed jonas to hold his hand for to long now and as he was sent off he cant so santon would be my choice but think taylor has done ok Chris the toon

Agree0 Disagree0

I also agree with the Ryan Taylor sentiment, however, creds to Pardew who has Guttierez tracking back covering (a lot).

On the transfer front, while Ashley is accused of being a seller of players you have to ask yourselves, of all the players sold which of them would you really have in teh team? Enrique atmost, and he thought he was going to a bigger better club and was too good for newcastle - Good Riddance. A for the rest, they are not missed in any way. And for all those Barton lovers out there, how often would you say he pumped free kicks into row z. Glad he's gone. I think the team is now a real team since they all went. I don't see Tiote leaving in Jan, or Cabaye or Colo. And if we get Europe, I see them all staying past the summer. IrishToon

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree with the person above in that most players we've sold wanted to go anyway and most likely wouldnt get in our team now anyway(except enrique). Any players who dont want to play for the toon can f*** off, if they dont want to be here then they are not wanted here simple as that.
And to the person who said Romeu has that buy back clause with Barca, ah right i didnt know that, just think he's a good young player not getting much of a look in at chelsea, so if they came in for tiote was thinking try and get him as part of the deal.

Agree0 Disagree0

Who has Ashley bought cheap and sold dear

Agree0 Disagree0

No one carroll came through rank sold nolan for less unless he help west ham back to prem enrique just wanted to go and barton is jst a tool thought he was going to get a big 4 club a look where he ended up on a free to qpr for free tha mans his own worst enemy has the cheek to take a shot at ppl that go to work hard to make money for a company that was paying for him to be in jail when the club was running at a loss

Agree0 Disagree0

December and the deluded unwashed on about europe again ha ha cant wait till may when you no where near europe

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't think Enrique is missed.. Looking at scouse comments on online paper forums they too have noticed how often he gifts the ball to the opposition.. He created so much pressure on our defence. At least now they know their limits and if they can't find a pass they hoof it away from
Danger.. I wouldn't mind a cheaky loan bid for Carroll in jan to cover Ba.. But I guess Birmingham will add 2mill on top of ridgwell due to our desperation.. Alex would be good as to anelka short term even loan if wages are reduced

Rumour doing the rounds is the toon are bidding £19 mil for Balotelli in January and also mario goetze for around £20-25 to secure that champions league spot.

Believable8 Unbelievable42

Can't see city parting with both balotelli and tevex, especially wioth balotelli form improving from last season.

Agree0 Disagree0

Oh and the goetze rumour is a non-starter.

Agree0 Disagree0

Errrm b****cks

Agree0 Disagree0

Balotelli would be nice, but I cannot see it tbh... but Mancini looks like he wants rid of both of them. If they sign RVP from arsenal which is not beyond the realms of possibility and then maybe sign Villa from barca - they will let tevez an balo leave.

Agree0 Disagree0

Oh my God, stop talking such utter b*ll*cks! this is the talk that makes other teams laugh at us. There is not a snowball's chance in hell of us signing either of those players, let alone both of them.
On the other hand watch the Man Utd v Palace match last night and was very impressed by the 2 Palace players we were linked with recently - thought Zaha was an absolute handful and Nathaniel Clyne was fantastic, get them in.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think someone has been on the drink before posting this

Agree0 Disagree0

Wake up from dream land

Agree0 Disagree0

Yea and {ardew will be sacked and Steve Bruce will take over and bring Caterole with him and Christmas is cancelled coz the Mackems have signed Santa clause

Agree0 Disagree0

And this my friends is why some people think we are deluded this would only happen on football manager i am afraid

Agree0 Disagree0

Couldn't even afford 25% of their current wages never mind a reasonable transfer package

Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew is preparing to step up his pursuit of a new striker and has set his sights on Montpellier's Oliveir Giroud, according to reports in the Daily Mail.

Pardew is still yet to purchase a replacement for Andy Carroll who left St. James' Park on the final day of the January transfer window this year for £35million.

However Newcastle have sent scouts out to watch Giroud on a umber of occasions this season and the feedback has been good.

The French international has been in impressive form this season for the Ligue 1 outfit having scored 11 goals in 14 games, which have helped fire the club to the top of the table.

Monpellier will not want to lose one of their prized assets however it is felt Newcastle are getting ready to table an offer in the region of £14million for the 25-year-old, which could be hard for the French side to resist.

Newcastle are hoping to clinch a £3million deal for Holland international Erik Pieters, despite the defender breaking a foot playing against his former club Utrecht last month.
The 23-year-old PSV Eindhoven left back, a friend of Newcastle keeper Tim Krul, was close to joining the club during the summer but the deal fell through.
Now Pieters, who has 14 caps after taking over from Giovanni van Bronckhorst as Holland's first-choice left back, is keen to revive the deal and hopes to be fully fit by the end of the next transfer window in January.

Toon in? Newcastle hope to complete a deal for Dutch defender Erik Pieters

Another Newcastle target, Montpellier defender Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa, has reiterated his desire to play in England.
'I believe the English Premier League is wonderful, but nothing has been decided so far,' said the 22-year-old, who has also been watched by Arsenal.

Newcastle manager Alan Pardew is considering an early move to snap up Celtic midfielder Scott Brown.
Brown's deal at Parkhead runs out on May 31 and as he is allowed to speak to other clubs once he is into his final six months, he could sign a pre-contract agreement this week.
Tottenham and West Ham have been linked with 26-year-old Brown but Pardew is determined to get in there first.
Brown is a player in the same mould as Joey Barton, who left Tyneside for QPR in the summer, and would cost around £1.5million.

Celtic manager Neil Lennon is desperate for Scotland international Brown, who cost the club £4m from Hibs in 2007m, to stay.
A long-term deal has been on the table but for some time nothing has been signed.
Lennon said: 'I think he wants to stay and I don't think we are far away. It's dragged its heels a bit but I'm quite confident we can get it done.

Come to Toon: Alan Pardew has been tracking Celtic midfielder Brown

'There are all sorts of reasons why it's not been done yet but it's certainly not been for the lack of trying.
'We all know he can talk to clubs on Thursday but I had a chat with him, he wants to stay here and I'm confident we can get it done over the next few days.'
Brown has been out of action since injuring his ankle in September but is back in training and could be involved against Atletico Madrid in the Europa League on Thursday.
