Don't shoot the messenger but I've heard from someone that's friends with Gary hooper and he said that hooper would love to join the toon. He said that if Newcastle made a move for him and Celtic refused he would hand in a transfer request. £3m would get him.

It has been confirmed by a close friend that Osvaldo will be sighning for Newcastle and will be wearing the number 9 shirt that was vacated by Andy Carrol.

If Chelsea wish to sell Drogba to get the best out of Torres then id expect it to be about 4M Atleast because of his age, but i doubt he would come here he would probably go to the clubs he supports e.g Marseille, Rangers or stay at Chelsea

Robert Lewandowski would be an excellent signing, he's been brilliant for Dortmund this season but some how I doubt we'll get him.

Gervinho more likely to head to Spurs. Senegalese defender Kader Mangane being looked at. PSG Turkish striker Mevlut Erdinc muted. Pardew has indicated he won't be pursuing Carlton Cole. Barton and Nolan both want to be at St. James' next season- hopefully a sign of new contracts.

News coming out of SJP is that they are lining up a move for Bolton Loanie Daniel Sturridge, If the deal was to be permanant then newcastle are looking to have to folk out a fee of around £10m or another possiblity is a loan move for the striker who has bagged 8 goals in 11 appreances for the wanderers WATCH THIS SPACE

Alan Pardew says he will be trying to bring in "one or two big name players" this summer but also claims youth will be given a chance.

Why is it a majority of people on here put premier or championship players joining the toon. We've been scouting all over europe and have came out and said there is better value for our money else where. Why not do a little homework and look at the teams not the players that media assumes we are interested in becuz our scouts were at the game. To think we've been scouting all over and are only gonna bring in one player from outside would be a waste of time and money. All the media interest in Jeremain Lens at PSV could have easily been for ola toivonen, interest in blaise matuidi of st etienne could have been dimitri payet a winger very similar to ben arfa for less than nzog. Both players unlikely for liverpool with carrol and higher priced winger being targeted. The list goes like lukaku linked at one point to nufc obviously not a target so who are the other talented players for less.
