Ba has not passed his medical. Pardew been saying on BBC Radio Newcastle that there are hurdles to cross before Ba signs a contract. This may have something to do with his past knee problems, and is reported on nufcblog.

No idea how true this is but rumour doing the rounds on some forums is were trying to re-sign Martins. . . . .again got no idea how true this is but hes about the right age i suppose. Think im split down the middle on whether i would want to see him back, he never did particularly bad did he? But then he didn't ever do particularly amazing? I know someone who works in the Hilton on the quayside, she told me that there are players staying there who will sign for Newcastle. Names not known
ok if she works the front desk ask her to have a look at the rooms paid for under Newcastles Name then the occupants name easy :)

demba ba has passed a medical, just have so sort out a deal. the baratta deal, will not go thru for a while. pardew wants to sign another striker befor next friday.

Newcastle are likely to sign Demba Ba on a free from West Ham United, Tranquillo Barnetta from Bayern Leverkusen for £6million and and Craig Gardner from Birmingham for £5million. Hopefull this will make us finished in the transfer market for midfielders and then start looking for quality strikers to bring in. Demba Ba is good but I think we could do better with the money we have.
