Can't see the Charlie Austin thing happening,to many other clubs starting to show an interest. What do you think Ed?

Believable2 Unbelievable0

{Ed024's Note - Ashley has to make good on his promise to buy some quality, so you never know - but given the clubs reported as being interested I think Austin will end up at a London club}

The rumours are that we value him at 10m so are putting in a bid of 9m - almost 40% less than QPR want (and they need every pound they can get).
If Austin comes for 16m and scores 15/20 goals we would easily get 25-30m for him from man city or chelsea. We did the same with Bony, Lacazette. I thought Ashley was a gambling ma, well stop mucking around the small cap investments and let's get into the big league.

This need to get every deal at absolutely the lowest price possible has led to the club hitting relegation form in 3 of the last 5 seasons. A few years back fans recognised and accepted we couldn't compete for signings with Chelsea or Man Utd. I will not accept that we can't compete with Swansea, Southampton, QPR, Stoke, WBA, Villa, Palace, Hull, Everton, which is the reality of the l;ast few seasons.

This is extremely bad management and leadership or lack of both.

ED's - Is Ferminio Old Trafford bound or is there any chance that the English club he is moving to will be Newcastle United?

Believable0 Unbelievable1

{Ed007's Note - There's nothing from Newcastle I'm afraid mate. Firmino will move from Hoffenheim in the summer with talks already having happened with Manchester City and Inter. Whilst I understand that there was a reasonable level of confidence from all parties that a deal will go ahead with Manchester City, they remain in a difficult position with FFP and cannot necessarily move quickly in the case of Firmino. That position seems to have drifted with interest from elsewhere. Barcelona (who would delay a move until January), Arsenal, Manchester United, Dortmund, Zenit and Schalke are probably all still interested but none has any agreement at this time.
The player is keen on leaving Germany which is a relief to Hoffenheim - as he has a termination clause that is seen to be very low and can be activated by a German team. With the player's desire to move to England, Chelsea (who had dropped their previous interest) have been approached about the player again - and on more than one occasion in recent weeks. Bayern Munich, Atletico Madrid, Shakhtar and Inter have dropped their previous interest. Everton, Dynamo Kiev and Liverpool looked at Firmino last season but did not declare any interest with his agent at the time - although Liverpool have looked again a few months ago, but a move to Merseyside seems unlikely. Roberto Firmino was previously subject of a rejected bid from Southampton.}
