Still some problems going through with Cissokho deal, just between either club though as the player himself is excited by the move. Lyon looking for £8million whilst newcastle aren't wanting to go above £6million.
Others newcastle making contact with are Erdinc and Pardew's finding centre backs available for loan withh the form of williamson.

Believable3 Unbelievable3

Wtf form of williamson, he hasnt done anything wrong since hes come back, one of the best defenders at defencive heading of the ball in the league.

Agree7 Disagree1

I think that's what he means, due to form of Williamson, we don't need to buy a cb ASAP, just have one on cover for rest of season till summer when Stevie Taylor is back.

Agree5 Disagree1

What are you smoking big willo has been amazing since he got back from injure and is one of are best players atm. you must want to see pearch in there with colo

Agree3 Disagree0

Williamson is class and before he was crocked he kept Taylor out of the team. Excellent 3rd / 2nd choice centre half.

Agree1 Disagree0

Some illiterate's you must be! Pardew's wanting a loan signing to sit on the bench as cover because williamson has played so well. Thats's why he had Benalouane scouted last night again, to see his suitability for this league because his agents offered him around the Prem. Found out that Newcastle have been talking to Junior Hoilett's Dad over a possible pre-contract deal, but apparently they're not rushing and weighing up all of their options. Whilst Newcastle have also expressed an interest in Swansea trio Joe Allen, Nathan Dyer and Danny Graham. Not thought to be serious as yet but Pardew wants to find the going rate for the players he likes; under 26, doesn't give the ball away and want to play for NUFC.

Agree1 Disagree1

I believe newcastle couldn't talk to anyone in hoilett's camp about a pre-contract until he has only 2 months remaining. at the moment, it could be considered an illegal approach if they were trying to do a deal.

Fingers really on pulse here!

ok enough of me and my travelling to games! I dun see why i have to prove my fan status to mystery people. Back to rumours aly cissoko has stated on sky newc and lyon in talks still cant see why we'd need him now at price suggested also that bastos rumour earlier is bull no chance as to hazard. But i heard we are interested in samba especially now a transfer request gone in! (WelshToon)

Believable3 Unbelievable3

I personally think that playin Cissoko at LB and Santon at RB aswell as Colo at CB is the makings of a great defence.

Santon is a great player and will only get better, It would atleast be better to play him in hisbest position at RB, On that note Simpson has been playing very well recently and to be honest I would be gutted to see him go. He cant cross or pass to save his life but made two great stops agains Man U and QPR.

I would prefer him to stay and hopefully get better and better.

Agree5 Disagree0

What you mean we don't need cissokho, simpsons Canny but cissokho could be class

Agree3 Disagree1

Welcome back mate, ignore the idiots..

Agree0 Disagree2

Glad if we do sign him (which is not likely) but I'd prefer to sign a centre back of decent back up quality

Agree1 Disagree1

If we sign him simpson will leave

Agree1 Disagree2

Ignore mad people welsh toon
football is out pricing alot of fans mate

Agree0 Disagree0

Indeed, I am one of the travling fans who lives away from the toon down in the midlands. Going to some grounds costs and arm and a leg. At least int he championship the tickets were cheap, as were the beers and the local ladies!

Bas dost will sign for Newcastle in next ten days or so as he want a bigger stage to prove he is worthy of a euro 2012 spot fee to be around £7m could be a fantastic signing for you Iam abit gutted as my team Everton could do with the fire power he will bring in

Believable5 Unbelievable3

Got a great goal to game ratio and dutch players generally fare well over here but im sure after the way hes been playing that one fo europes big guns will have been alerted to him by now! I know carr has extensive links in holland too but even though id like to see this lad at the toon i still think his fee would be bigger than 7 million! 14 goals in 17 league games is a astonishing return for a young lad......spenny mag

Agree3 Disagree1

More likely to be just another alphonso alves, the dutch league is nowhere near the quality of the premiership and scoring goals is not that impressive, id rather focus on targets that have proven quality instead of talking high money risks

Agree1 Disagree2

Just dont get the comment "scoring goals is not that impressive"! Its what the game is about and thats why when a goal scorer of quality comes available clubs clamber over themselves to get them on board! seems a bit strange to me!

Agree1 Disagree0

What about van nistlerooy? Kuyt? Robben? Stam? Tiote? Van persie? and many others who all came from the dutch league? your the kind of "fan" who obviously just thinks a name or a fee makes a player better! look at Carroll. he must be flying for pool cos he is known and cost a fortune! And BA cost nothing so must be rubbish? Total rubbish put in that post!

Agree5 Disagree2

If we do get him and he proves to be a hit then Mr Carr is one hell of a scout and that post about the dutch league not upto scratch it is probs the nearest to the PL I for one would welcome him to the squad he is better than Shola with his laces tied together and blindfolded aswell if he can carry the form into the squad he and Ba could easily get get 30+ goals a season which is a must if we want to push on Europe anybody else agree

Agree3 Disagree1

Scoring goals in the dutch league is not that impressive how do you not get that..... even fifa acknowledge this with its rules on the golden boot, youve just named world class players who have played in the dutch league this guy is far from there standards and could be just another expensive flop, the dutch league is nowhere near the quality of the premiership, there are good players with in it and this guy could be good, but for me hes certainly not proved himself to be worth 8 million

Agree0 Disagree2

True i also have my doubts, remember Dirk Kuyt was the Feyenoord top scorer for three consecutive seasons, the top goalscorer in the 2004–05 Eredivisie season, and the 2005–06 Dutch Footballer of the Year. He works really hard but when he came to liverpool he could not score so they made him a winger.

Agree1 Disagree1

Carr is class. I am worried that someone like manu may try and get him... headhunt him as it were to try and get them some bargin players.

Agree0 Disagree0

Carr is the modern day version of Peter Taylor

Aly Cissokho claims Newcastle are holding discussions with Lyon regarding his services, but says there other clubs are interested as well. SSN Toonshack

Believable6 Unbelievable0

They supposingly arguing over the fee with lyon wanting 8-10 million but toon MA offering 6 with 2 million in incentives! the player coming out and saying this either means he wanting to come to us or he trying to alert other teams to his availability! Good player though and i really hope we get him cos this the kind of player who would push us on to the next level.....spenny mag

Agree3 Disagree0

I don't get this as supposedly nufc get people to sign privacy contracts whilst negotiations ongoing to prevent press leaks ,or is it just a rumour? .

Agree0 Disagree0

Privacy contracts? what crap lyon the player and his agent all want the world to know he is available start a bidding war and get as much wages as possible not keep it quiet and get what youre given

Agree0 Disagree0

Indeed, the player has not been palying that well recently and for his agent to start spouting to arsenal interested is a joke.

A deal for aly cissokho is getting closer, lyon and Newcastle are still talking about a fee, thought to be about £7million, but aly says he would like a fresh challenge that the premier league will bring. Arsenal have dropped interest in the french full back.

Believable3 Unbelievable4

Quite possibly , there have been a lot of talk about erding , coming to us and he wants to come to !

Agree4 Disagree2

I've heard we can't agree his wages and he's still not that bothered about coming here like.

Agree6 Disagree4

Wouldn't want him had his chance in the summer now all of a sudden it suits him
