Apparently the reason there is interest is due to him not being happy with the deal he was offered, is said to be "very annoyed" by it according to a close family member and would at this time be very open to a move if it was right for him.. Newcastle, Man City and Arsenal have been linked

Algerie360 has reported in the last couple of days that now free agent Ziani could well be on his way to Newcastle this summer... they state that it would make sense to assume that there is still interest due to the fee of 7 million being the only stumbling block in a move that both we and he wanted at the time.. now that he is a free agent this is no longer an issue and all that would have to be matched is his wages... a point echoed by Talksport yesterday

Would be class signing but it could upset Hatem Ben Arfa as they fell out when at Marseille they may have forgiving each other or forgot about it but if not we don't want a unhappy Ben Arfa.
In the matches I've seen him play in the past (England vs Algeria being one of them), he looks very decent. His goal-scoring record isn't the best but he's one of those who is a nightmare to the opposition. Runs them ragged. A bit like Tiote but more attack minded.
If he's free and interested, there's no excuse for not getting him signed up.

Newcastle target, Toulouse left back Cheikh MBengue interviewed today by Francefootball spoke of his commitment to Toulouse and desire to his best for them in the upcoming season.
Stated that as much as he would like to play in England or Spain in the future he said he is in no rush to leave as he is only 22, and because of his love for Toulouse would only leave if the opportunity and offer was too good to turn down for both him and the club.
It has been confirmed by the French media recently that Newcastle has made an offer of 6 million for him, which was promptly rejected by Toulouse.

From what he said, seems like they have faith in whats there, and wouldnt spend big money for "cover for Essien" as he put it
Draw your own conclusions but think Tiote is safe, if anything they may take Parker on loan with West Ham having the opportunity to keep him next season if they get promoted

Ssn is reporting that chelsea havent approached newcastle over tiote so it looks like tiote will be at newcastle next season.

A few people are probably going to disagree with me on this one, but again if we are looking at a marquee striker, but also a squad striker we could do worse than sign big Zigic from Brum?
I know he is not a prolific goal scorer but I'll tell you what he is a handful. With Joey Barton's delivery bringing him on as an impact sub and changing the tactics a bit during a game where we're not getting any joy could be an option?
I always remember Duncan Ferguson for us but especially Everton, he was pivotal for them as an impact sub and the big Serb has similarities.
Depends on what Brum want for him, but he has said he wants to leave and at 2-3m I would prefer him to the likes of Jerome, Miller.
