TV reporting that we're closing in on the signing of Remy. Lorient won't sell Aliadiere and Aubameyang doesn't want to leave.

Really need to bulk up CB options first and foremost.. Especially if Colo goes. Taylor injury-prone, Williamson not PL standard. I know the whole 'under 25/27(?) policy' but, especially at the back I think experience is key. I'd love Lescott at the club. More likely to sign Tomkins/Isimat Mirin/Okore.

Believable5 Unbelievable6

Absolutely do not want lescott, as you said he does not fit our criteria his wage demands would be absolutely ridiculous and he isn't that good anyway, only reason city had him is for home grown status, if we were to break the policy i'd prefer brede hangleland, okore and or mirin would be nice but until either arrive i'm not holding my breath, Grant Hanley for me is one that is not talked about enough young british and has a decent bit of experience under his belt already and im sure he'd love to quit blackburn for us

Agree3 Disagree4

Why we didn't sign Bassong when we had the chance during the summer is beyond me, Young fast powerful and as we know has real quality at 4 million was a bargain

Agree3 Disagree6

Should of signed Bassong when he was here on loan a few years ago

Agree1 Disagree7

I would love to see Okore at SJP. Calm on the ball, and a good leader, would be an ideal replacement for Colo, whether now or in the future.

Agree5 Disagree1

I heard we are interested in AS Nancy left back Massadio Haidara anyone no much about him

Agree1 Disagree1

Bassong wasn't on loan. Newcastle sold him to spurs for 8mill when they were relegated.

Agree5 Disagree1

Remi is going to Arsenal, fact we are not signing him, also expect more of our players leaving, Ben Arfa and Cabaye could go.i work at the club.Trying hard to get replacements but with our form and league position is being a problem.

Agree1 Disagree12

Are you the tea lady?

Agree4 Disagree1

Working behind the bar/ bistro doesnt count

Agree1 Disagree1

^^^ what do you work as aye?

Agree0 Disagree0

Rubbish absolute rubbish cabaye and hba are not going anywhere especialy cabaye as debuchy just arrived if remy signs it will be brilliant if he doesnt then we will have to find someone else collo will stay to

Agree2 Disagree1

Where in the club do you work

Agree0 Disagree0

Where at the club do you work? i have worked there 14years

Agree0 Disagree1

Know wonder we can't afford to buy anyone with the ammount of people who work at the club..clearly doing a crap job if they spend all their time posting on here. should probably clear some of them out...

dannitoon

Agree8 Disagree0

Totally disagree I know hba close friend he is going no where until the summer he was going to Chelsea this summer until they put we stood by you with your leg break but will def leave end of season and stop in the epl as for bassong he is a poor cb as it showed yesterday.

Agree0 Disagree3

Sure you not a mackam....

Agree0 Disagree0

Closet makem there saying we should of signed bassong when we had him onloan...if you where a true geordie you would know we bought him for roughly 500k sold him a season later for 8million+.......k

Agree4 Disagree3

Not a very good friend to hba if your disclosing your personal discussions about him moving to chelsea to the general public

Agree4 Disagree0

2 the 3rd comment, I would take Lescott anyday. My partners a City fan and I watch a hell of a lot of City games and he really is class.

Everygame Lescott and Kompany has started in they have not lost over the last year or two.

I think he would be a stable rock for us if colo were to leave.

There are not many primed players capable of adapting to the PL within a short amount of time due to this we will need someone who is already used to the PL and for me he is a great option.

Other than that I would try for fulhams CB (BREDE HANGELAND) who is around the same age as colo and would be a cheap replacement due to his contract being up in June.

Newcastle close to signing remy, deal should be concluded by tuesday no news on the fee but likely to be 9-13 million .

Newcastle are keen to get a deal for a cb done this month a couple of names been mentioned douglas and ismat mirin

A deal for gaetan bong will be completed by the end of the month pardew plans on using santon further forward

Believable4 Unbelievable4

I thought remy was going to the gunners? that was what he said would be his dream move! do we want him

Agree2 Disagree5

The gunners? What are you smoking? He has said Newcastle is his club in the premier league and he turned down Napoli QPR Tottenham etc just for us! Expected to be finalised midweek as he is already in newcastle as we speak. Please post your drivel elsewhere.

Agree3 Disagree1

The arsenal comment was over 2 year ago before he joined marseille

Agree0 Disagree0

What a difference a day makes, read this yesterday thinking no chance and now it looks like it will happen.

is it me but the way am reading this colo wants us to grant him a free to leave to the team his dad works at so they can pay him his wages if its true he wants to go....??

Believable4 Unbelievable0

I like colo but he signed a four year contract. we need to sell him for what he's worth so we can buy a replacement not give him away. is this to make his father look good. well tough (mag forever)

Agree6 Disagree0

It's not colo saying that, san lorenzo say they can give him good wages but can't afford a transfer fee.
they expect colo to buy himself out of his contract. which he can't do for another year as he signed a new contract 1 year ago.

Agree4 Disagree0

I believe this is what everyone is talking about first done my andy webster of hearts
"Article 17 of FIFA's Regulations for the Status and Transfer of Players is entitled "Consequences of Terminating a Contract Without Just Cause", and is the fifth article of Chapter IV, "Maintenance of Contractual Stability between Professionals and Clubs". It outlines the provisions which apply if a contract is terminated without just cause, and the requirement for the party in breach to pay compensation.[9] Specifically, it states that any player who signed a contract before the age of 28 can buy himself out of the contract three years after the deal was signed. If he is 28 or older the time limit is shortened to two years.[10][11] Article 17 was introduced in December 2004, with effect from 1 July 2005"
I think people forget Jonas did it it Mallorca to sign for us

What a stance from San Lorenzo.. 'We can't afford you and arnt gonna pay for a transfer, but we can pay your wages'
Is that not tapping our player up?
If you want him and if Colo does want to go because he's been a bad lad.

apparently we've got 3 players lined up to sign by monday. A cb, st, cm

CB my guess Tomkins, Mirin, Okre

ST my guess remy, aubameyang, gamiero

CM my guess sissoko, mvila,

from that list i would want
tomkins 4m
gamiero 5m
mvila 6m

cost up to 15m

Believable1 Unbelievable12

From that list i'd want:
Okore 4m
Isimat Mirin 3m
M'vila 7m
remy 9m
23m spent

Agree12 Disagree3

We won't anyone else

Agree5 Disagree4

M'vila is worth £10 million +, I think a more creative midfielder to cover Cabaye, rather than get another DM.

Agree2 Disagree3

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang quoted on tv he ain't leaving this January. Maybe in the summer but he claims to have had contact with both Man you and city.

Agree4 Disagree3

Tomkins/Mirin/Okre and Remy/Gamiero are what we need. We won't get Aubameyang cos he's said he won't leave. Sissoko or MVila would be good but I've seen reports saying Sissoko either won't leave or go to Scumderland and MVila will probably go to QPR or Arsenal.

Agree2 Disagree3

We need:
Mirin 4m
Remy 9m
Sissoko (spelling?) 3m
Okore 4/5m
PEA 7m
Total 27/28m
We need but we won't get :-(

Agree5 Disagree2

I think newcastle will cash in on tiote in the summer hence the move for sissoko or m'vila

Agree4 Disagree2

M'villa is a defensive midfielder, is so cabs can play as more of an art king mid

Agree4 Disagree3

Sissoko £3.5m
Remy £10m
Centre Back you tell me, Mirin, Douglas, Yanya M'Bwia, Alderwield?

Agree1 Disagree2

The way tiote's been playing I'd sell him and take M'Vila as a replacement. He's more reliable and doesn't do as much of the stupid things tiote does

Agree3 Disagree0

Mvila has been dropped to youth team a couple of times and don't forget ben arfa at one point at marsille was worth 35m and how much did we sign him for, 5.5 MILLION SO M'VILA DEAL COULD GO THROUGH FOR 6 OR 7 MILLION!!!!

Agree0 Disagree0

Any 2 from Mirin/M'Biwa/Alderwield would be great Douglas not so much. From what I've heardhe's as bad as tiote

Agree1 Disagree0

Tompkins has been valued at 10mil apparantly

Just been browsing the net and found that we seem to
Be interested in signing jores okore of nordjsaelland.
I have seen him a few times andi thought he was class.
It says he would be available for around 5 million.
He is a good young cb that has already had champions
League and international experience.

Believable9 Unbelievable1

I thought Man Utd were interested in him.

Hopefully true....apparently newcastle representatives met with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang agents Friday over a possible move. May be rubbish as it was reported he won't be sold in January the other day. You never know though. Sure to get ridiculed for this post, but gotta keep the faith that the club are doing everything they can to bring in a top striker as well as one or two cb. Hopefully the new striker won't be a poor suprise like shefki kuqi

Believable5 Unbelievable2

Not sure about this. I would still prefer remy tbh but then again he is something different and it is a player we need. West ham have told Carlton cole he can leave. Does anyone think we would bid for him?

Agree0 Disagree3

I hope not! Carlton Cole is woeful. We need a pacy striker.

Agree6 Disagree1

I have no doubts we will consider Cole...he's free isn't he... right up Ashley's street!!
