Use our rumours form to send us newcastle transfer rumours.

everything has gone very quiet, which it did before we got all our signings in the previous years

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Do you really think that means anything

Agree0 Disagree0

Or as already reported, most club officials are on holiday and will resume transfer business from next week.

For strike force:
PAE looks like he could be just out of reach, we could try for Bony who's a 50/50 in my opinion.

If they both fail, i'd have to say go for Jordan Rhodes.

then as 3rd choice, we could get Di Santo to replace Ameobi and Campbell can slot in as 4th choice.
We'd be better off than we were last season.

Demba Ba could be a potential option. He's facing the axe, sensational return to the toon for him? Would give a massive lift to the fans and dressing room. Would also like to see us work day and night to get Lukaku.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ba and Cisse don't work! Ba didn't want to play on the left, Cisse had to play on the right even when we played 442 it didn't work, they just don't click

Agree0 Disagree0

Cisse will probably be sold anyway, even if he does refuse to wear a shirt, we might cash in on him.

Agree0 Disagree0

He (Cisse) had no dramas wearing a virgin money shirt so why a wonga shirt. Both lend money. MOre rubbish paper talk.

Agree0 Disagree0

Indeed, the Cisse won't wear Wonga is BS. If it is an issue then it is to manufacture a move away from the club.

if you had 2 players (st/cb) who would you sign and why

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I honestly rate A. Carroll. Good on the deck, a menace in the air. I would have him back any day. wouldn't just be long ball, but hold up play as well and give Cabaye a chance to put a few defence splitting balls through and Ben Arfa running off him-quality. I would also like someone like Lescott or Shawcross. This is me being realistic. And even take a punt on the lad who Man City loaned out over to Feyenoord, I think, who was banging goals in for fun.

I'm a Newcastle fan and to put it honestly saying last seasons performance was poor is putting it lightly. This season we need some serious change with the ins and outs. Here is the list of players linked with newcastle this season

Newcastle potential ins:
PAE (Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang) striker/ winger- 10-15 million.
Alex Pearce- defender - free agent
Eder- striker- 16 million
Tom Ince - winger - 5 - 10 million
Will Hughes - midfielder - 10 million
Wilfred Bony - striker - 15 million
Bojan - attacking midfieder - 10 million
Victor Wanyama - midfielder- 10 million
Mathieu Valbuena midfielder/winger - 10-15 million
Andy Carroll - striker - 15 million

lets start off with PAE, he seems like a class player, fast, agile, good scoring record. Only problem is the likes of arsenal, Man city and PSG have been linked with him so if we were to pursue him we need to act quick.
Alex Pearce, I guess he would be good for being a free agent but I don't remember him playing exceptional for reading so is he really up to our standard or is he just another Williamson.
Eder, I don't think it will happen due to the high price tag being slapped on him.
Tom Ince is a class player he would be perfect but he has also been linked with Liverpool and Spurs. Also he is English so we may have to pay over the odds for him.
Will Hughes, the deal proposed here is that we would buy him for 10 million and loan him back to derby county for a year. We need players who are going to make an immediate impact to have a chance of achieving something this season.
Wilfred Bony, looked like it could of happened a couple weeks ago but typical Newcastle we wait to long to make a move. Now some of the top teams in Europe have declared interest and it's unlikely for us to sign him now.
Bojan, I doubt it. He has already been at some of the best clubs in the world and he is only 23 years old. Barcelona look like they are going to try and fit him into the new generation of Barca so I don't think he will leave.
Victor Wanyama, ideal replacement Tiote if he leaves but if he doesn't leave I think it would be unlikely. Arsenal have also declared interest.
Mathieu Valbuena, really good player but he doesn't fit into our policy of being 25 or younger and doesn't really have a sell on value.
Andy Carroll, I want him back but he is edging closer to a move to west ham but he still seems to be waiting out for a move to Newcastle.

Looking at these players we are linked with there is some proper talented players in that list. But a lot of the players we are looking at aren't British and I think that was one of the biggest reasons for our disappointment last year. It worked for one season brilliantly for one season but then it went over board. It went over the top with half of the french players looking like they don't care about NUFC and just not putting the effort levels needed especially in the big games like Scumberland and the top 4. Even though I hate Gary Neville I think he sums up Newcastles season perfectly

In terms with players been linked out:
Papiss Cisse - 10-15 million - Anzhi Makhachkala, Brossia Dortmund
yohan cabaye - 15-25 million - Manchester Untied, AS Monaco, Paris Saint Germain
Hatem Ben Afra - 10 - 25 million - Paris Saint Germain, AS Monaco
Cheik Tiote - 10 million - Lokomotiv Moscow
Fabricio Coloccini - under 10 million - San Lorenzo
Danny Simpson - free agent

Dead wood players:
Mike Williamson
Dan Gosling
Romain Amalfitano
Gabriel Obertan
possibly James Perch.

Hopefully none of the first 5 players linked with a move away will not leave. I feel Papiss Cisse has been unfairly criticized as he makes good runs all games but often it is too late when the ball is played through to him so he is offside.
I hate to say this but Cabaye looks like he might leave especially if a big money move comes in.
I doubt Ben Arfa will leave as Pardew likes him so much he will make sure he won't leave also he is a fan favorite so in terms of business that means less shirt sales so less income for Mike Ashley.
With tiote it is 50% if he will leave as he is replaceable and has had a poor season this year and especially with bigiarama improving loads.
You have to feel sorry for Coloccini because he wants to leave to look after his wife but we have to get good money to buy one decent or even two defenders to replace him and it seems like San Lorenzo doesn't have the funds

Hopefully we act quickly before we don't have any time to buy the right players as they have already joined other teams.

In terms of Pardew I would give him to January to prove himself and if we are doing badly then replace him. But I recon he will lead us to a good finish possibly 9th or 8th especially if we bring in the right people we could make a push in the cups or even try to get europe again.
HOWAY THE TOON.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Lost interest half way through

Agree0 Disagree0

I read the first paragraph and didn't bother with the rest,
No way would newcastle spend 100+ million

Agree0 Disagree0

Big better than Tiote by this season's form

Agree0 Disagree0

I disagree with you saying Cisse gets unfairly criticised in fact I think he gets off easily he has a shot to goal ratio of 10:1, Fletcher has a 5:1 shot to goal ratio even players like Holt and Kone have better aswell as most first choice strikers in the league.
Take away the goals he scored and he brings very little to the team.

Agree0 Disagree0

Williamson dead wood? Is he any worse than Steven Taylor? I would say not.

Agree0 Disagree0

No way you'd get 80 million either!

why people keep going on about lukaku, last year we should have made the move, he's proven himself at wba now, chesea won't let a young exensive talent go for less than 35mill, and forget a loan they will play him. let's move on a year and buy what we've been tracking for the last year, whoever that maybe?

Hi Ed's any sensible transfer rumours that we should know about? Would like to see Lescot or Jagielka come to us but can't realistically see that happening.
