Apparently our top 5 potential signing are
5. Bent
4. Remy
3. Zouma
2. Sinclair
1. Gomis

I can see Bent and maybe Remy going to NUFC but Sinclair won't, and Gomis might but probably move to a better club than us

Believable0 Unbelievable0

No I can see us getting Sinclair.
5. Gomis
4. Zouma
3. Sinclair
2. Bent
1. Remy

Agree0 Disagree0

Bent an ex mackem
remy a greedy playboy
Sinclair injury prone
future looks bright for the toon 16th finish again i'd say

That might be the only way we sign them players to be fair as can't help thinking we are secretly trying to get psg or monaco to bid for cabeye. k

Why didn't Newcastle sign Kevin Strootman. H is an excellent player. A lot better than tiote. Now h Goes to as roma. Hos first choice was premier league. They sign only stup

A Dutch journalist has just been on Talksh1t saying Leroy Fer is in Norwich having a look around, not sure we need him but we do need another centre half and Toby Alderwald is also there looking around deciding if he wants to join them or wait for something bigger, why oh why is he not looking around SJP and our state of the art facilities? This boy is quality and just what we need to shore up the second worst defence in the league. If Norwich get these two along with Van Wolfswinkel it will be them being in the top 8 not us.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Seems as if Chris Hughton nicked the Toon scouting database just as he left St James' Park.
Good luck to him if he gets them, he's building a very good team and I wish him the best.

If only someone would get their finger out and have a look at Alderwiereld. He can't be that pricey given the large amount of money Norwich have already spent I wouldn't think there's much left in the bank.

I think this season will determine whether pardew is the right man to take us forward. Don't care what his management history is like, he got us to fifth in the prem which is no fluke and to the quarter finals of europa league.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

It doesn't matter If we have a good or bad season we'll still play the awful football Pardew sets us up to play.

Agree0 Disagree0

Thanks for that Mike. Still rubbing the sun oil in?

Agree0 Disagree0

See that's what I mean, negative fans like you two there just plucking anything from the air to have a moan about

Agree0 Disagree0

Plucking anything from the air? Under Pardew our football has been shocking that's clear for everyone to see.

Agree0 Disagree0

But he got us to 5th before last year so have some faith

If we sign Bent, Remy and Sinclair and keep our first teamers ie HBA, Cabaye, Krull etc that would not be too bad.

Better than not signing anyone.

TA

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Have you forgotten sissoko?

Agree0 Disagree0

Would Sinclair be able to pass a medical? I thought he wasn't allowed to train or anything for about three months, just a thought.

Agree0 Disagree0

That would not be too bad? That would be amazing! We would then have a team who are more than capable at emulating 11/12 mate.

Agree0 Disagree0

I'd have did sissocko instead of tiote

Agree0 Disagree0

To who made the first response: The original comment does say HBA, Cabaye, Krul ETC.
Anyway those would be good signings but would need a cb as well.

Agree0 Disagree0

Who is Sissoko?

He came he scored. Never seen again. I wonder why!?!

Agree0 Disagree0

SO who should we be signing then? At the end of the day all this talk of Seim de jong etc is BS we have joke inhere as a director and pards wants players with prem exp, which means we will be getting bent we may get Sinclair but more likey a west ham reject and we will probably get remy.

anthing else would be a bonus.

but saying that, witht he fat man in charge we will probably sign no one.

Agree0 Disagree0

Sissoko is the absolute beast in the midfield and better than any other sunderland player.

Pardew has said it, we are in for Bent and Remy. I wonder what (if) a deal can be struck for them both.

I think we get them both we will be playing (if all players stay till)

Krul
Debuchy Taylor/Mbiwa Big Coll Santon
Tiote Cabaye
Ben Arfa (rw) Remy (lw)
Bent Cisse

Looks good on paper, and potentially a very good attack force with 4 players been able to get the side goals!

But all of that is a big IF!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

We would be overrun in midfield with that team

Agree0 Disagree0

With Benteke asking to leave that will mean Tottenham will be focused on him.

That should free us up as the clear front runners to get Remy.

A plus point for those that did not want Bent is that Villa will probably consider keeping him now.

Bent and Benteke could not play together, but if Benteke goes they may as well start getting their moneys worth out of Bent instead of selling him on the cheap.

Benteke to Spurs.

Remy to Newcastle.

Bent possibly to stay where he is.

Agree0 Disagree0

Not only that, but both are full backs, who are better attacking than defending, will not be able to attack as they'll never get any cover from Remy or Ben Arfa, so they might as well always stay in their own half of the field.

Agree0 Disagree0

I would rather get Remy and not bother with Bent.

Gouffran is good enough to be getting games and Adam Campbell needs first team minutes.

Agree0 Disagree0

I'd rather have remy and cisse up front, then sinclair LW, more balanced then. but other than that, there's no reason why we can't replicate 11/12

Agree0 Disagree0

Surely Remy would be our replacement for ba and bent would be a replacement for ameobi. Definitely an upgrade on shola tbh.

I fear that Cabaye is edging closer and closer to the exit door. I don't like it how Blanc keeps on giving these long interviews on how he admires Cabaye. but still, I would definietly take 25-30m for yohan who was very out of form last year.

So these are the positions we need to bring in new players:

CB: Targets-Sakho, Lescott, Alderweireld, Zouma. I reckon we should get in either Zouma or Alderweireld, they won't mind competition for CB too much as they're both still young whereas Lescott and Sakho want to leave their clubs for first team football week in week out, we can't guarantee them that unless we sell Saylor then move Good to 4th choice.

CM/AM: If cabaye leaves then we should go for Leroy Fer, great box to box midfielder and a lot quicker than cabaye and probs more consistent. And also maybe we'll need more creativity if cabaye leaves so Siem De jong or eriksson along with Fer could be the answer.

LW: Targets-Sinclair, maybe Ince. Ince is probably out of the question now unless we come in for a late bid. Sinclair I reckon we could be in for as we could get him on the cheap, only 25 and can take on defenders (Unlike jonas)

ST: Targets-Remy, Bent, maybe Bony. remy and bent for just 13m is an absolute bargain (Remy 8m, bent 5m) we are lacking pace up front so they could be the solution. They both have a great eye for goal, so they would be good strike partners and competition for cisse.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Remy surely can't cost 8million that's all QPR paid for him (wasn't it?)

They have been reigated you don't get what the player is worth you get what your given to knock the high wages on the head.

But Remy would need to take a pay cut and so would Bent. Bony I thought he already agreed to move to Norwich?

Sakho (what a player, any day of the week he would be in my team) would be class competition for Taylor Mbiwa and Big Coll himself.

Eriksson won't come, he is a big name coming in football and will attract attention from the bigger clubs. De Jong i'm still praying that we do bring him in!

Sinclair, if we get Remy he will be bench material, and Remy left wing With Cisse and Bent playing up front.

First time this transfer window I am starting to think things are looking up.

I know I may be counting my chickens early, but at least it's not looking and doom and gloomy as I first thought.

Now I guess only time will tell!

How'a MA (fat waste of space) JFK (toss pot!) and AP bring them in. Get us going again!

KEEP THE FAITH!

So Pardew has said we are looking at Remy and Bent, I hope it's one or the other, if we are going for both we will have 3 quality strikers and 3 not so quality as back up. this would mean that we will be playing 442 as he couldn't go with 1 up front, non of them would be happy. my fear is that if we play 442 we will lose either Cabaye, Sissoko or Tiote as we have 3 quality CM's & again one of them won't be happy being on the bench. I would love Remy (PACE) but not to bothered about Bent, saying that we could get a good year or two out of him.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

We will probably rotate that formations and teams depending on who we are playing, like last season.

The whole point of getting players in is so that we have options.

Good teams have big squads and do not accommodate all the players for every game.

I personally would like to see Cabaye rotated more, he was burned out last season, and players that are rotated are not unhappy, they are not being dropped, they are being kept in peak condition.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes I understand where you're coming from, but mate, that's the whole point! You want to have competition, we want pardew to have headaches on choosing whos going to play up front etc. that's how top clubs become successful! we will play 442 against city, tiote and cabaye will be in the middle and sissoko will be on the bench, because we won't want to rush him straight on to the pitch just after fully settling in from pre season. Sinclair on the right, ben arfa on the left. Cisse and Remy up front and Bent will come on second half and will do the same for the next few games then will replace either cisse or remy (depending who's the most out of form). Debuchy, m'biwa coloccini and santon will be the back 4 and our new signing CB will be in the reserves with Tayls on the bench I reckon. Hopefully krul will be back from injury
