Great win today, but we were sloppy besides a moment of genius from HBA.
I cant understand why we were playing 442? 433 has worked so well for us the past few games. Was it to accommodate Demba more?
Totally agree with this post, was at the game yesterday and was infuriated 1st half. Our 2 midfielders had no support and thought Ba was our worst player.
Also, he refused to shke Pardew's hand when he was subbed so I would say his future on Tyneside is looking bleak. Especially with this buyout clause still not resolved.
I think we have to revert back to 433 but play Ba and if he is not happy then play Gutierrez out wide left and Ryan Taylor in midfield.
Still in dreamland after witnessing in the flesh that wonder goal from HBA!

Spelt is spelt!! Ye dope. If liverpool beat Everton then 6th place is good enough for Europe. If Everton get to the final then they would take the Europe spot if Spurs/Chelsea get to the final providing either one of them finish in the top 5. That's why. Do you feel silly?
Well im a Liverpool fan and i want the toon to finish 4th. That would be awesome in my opinion, although i do want us to beat everton on saturday haha. Disappointing season for us but congratulations to you guys, you deserve it.

Cheers mate. Getting 4th is going to be tough but if you do us a favour this weekend then we can push for it with the Europa to fall back on.
I love the way i get insulted for spelling actully wrong, when i'm correct. to explain it to the people who are confused: top 4 get champions league. whilst 5th place, the league cup winners and fa cup winners. liverpool won the league cup giving them europa, this means that if everton get into the final and loose to a team that gets into the top 4 or 5th place, they get the eurpa league spot, so 6th would not be good enough. this means we need liverpool to make the final along with chelsea or tottenham.... simples :)
What happens if we finish 4th but chelsea win the champions league. unlikley, but would they be given the chance to defend the title like liverpool a few years ago? ed do you know? {Ed001's Note - Chelsea would get the place.}

Demba will be gone in the summer. He has been class for us this season but was not happy again today when he got took off. Looked like he refused to shake Pardew's hand from where I was sitting.
You were probably sitting in the cheapest and crappiest area of the stadium! No player likes being taken of!

Why play Raylor or Perch in midfield when we have Gosling. Need to give this lad a chance. I like Raylor and Perch but not in midfield.
I'd give Abeid a game alongside Jonas and Cabeye. If you play Gosling that forces Cabeye to sit deeper and he is more effective pushing on and creating for Papiss
