Ed do you think we could put in a bid for van der vaart? cus I was reading that spurs due to financial issues need to sell some of their big players. {Ed001's Note - not a chance, he would not consider the move anyway. He would need to take a huge pay cut to fit into Newcastle's current wage structure.}

Ed is there any chance of us signing gyan if sunderland continue to fall like they are. {Ed001's Note - very very doubtful they would sell a player they want to keep to Newcastle, especially as there would be other options if they did need to sell.}

The one thing that might happing if Newcastle sign Shane Long is he chases the ball down so much and chases lost causes that he won't spend much time in the box if you watch Doyle he is the same so won't get as many goals as he does in the Championship.
