A Taylor will be in when fit he is class also how can you drop jonas
Agree1

Wait there... no jonas? how can you leave the workhorse of the team out, i dont think there was a single blade of grass in the epl last season he didnt cover
Agree2
Disagree1
I thought jonas was the workhorse but when i looked at the stats after matches cab and tiote covered much more ground on a regular basis
Agree1
Disagree1
Jonas played well and is a workhorse but we need to move on, we dont want a left winger playing deep all the time we need to be on the front foot more

Steven Taylor done more than enough to earn his starting spot before getting injured so i would have him and Colo CB‘s.

Yeah but we need someone to score from corners, cause we were poor with them this season, and although you can't just have one player that can score them, we need to improve the delivery too.

Defo improve delivery

Jonas looked really tired towards the seasons end, he prob covered a lot of ground in the early part of the season and suffered for it towards the end. more squad depth allowing to rotate him this coming season would certainly help him put in a shift for the entire season.

Ben Arfa on the left and Jonas on the right.

talkSPORT understands Newcastle are set to beat a host of Premier League clubs to the signature of young Ajax midfielder Vurnon Anita. as a Mr T backup maybe?

Just curious but what do people think we will do next season just it seems some people have really high expectations already, i think if we get past the group stages in Europa league and finish in the top half in league it'll be a good season.

Would like to think we could do better than that. Basically that scenario would mean we are going backwards - an ominous trend.

I'd be disappointed if we didn't reach at least the group stages of the Europa Leauge and attack one of the cups with some intent. Our cup runs the last few seasons have been woeful to say the least.
As for the league a top 8 finish would be good considering our european commitments. All this obviously depends on what kind of business we do in the transfer window.

I agree - a good season would involve past the group stages in eurpoa, top 8 in league and strong cup run - either final of carling cup, or the semi's of the FA Cup

I think we need to win a Cup or get to a final be it the carling or europa I dont care. if we could do that I would be happy with a top half finish. Failing a cup final we need top six again.

Think highest place in league , top six . Not that bothered about cups , think we need to cement our place in order to keep and attract , do we really want to have good runs in cups but finish half way ? Only if we win them ! Look at liverpool s**t season in everyone's eyes . Yet won a cup !
