There is definitely something going on transfer wise apparently mike Ashley and llambias have had to have a "recall" from their holiday and outside the ground pardew along with Graham Carr and supposedly a players agent were seen heading into the main office of the ground. Something Is going on. I expect something by tommorow night. Also it won't be cabaye as he has already sorted his contract out. I would imagine either gameiro or gervinho.

Ed have you heard if NUFC are still interested in Lens young center half Varane now man utd have seemingly opted for the english option with Blackburns Jones. it was reported we had bid and have obviously been in contact with Lens after signing Abeid.

{Ed010's Note - Sorry, I've not heard anything more about Raphael Varane but as you rightly say, with Man Utd seemingly dropping out, I would expect Newcastle to make another move if Pardew is still interested.

Good luck smudger. Not the most skilled player / borderline useless but gives his all . . Good luck matee

Believable4 Unbelievable0

Definitely past his best and is no good for us now, but he did a job getting us promoted again. Good luck to him.

I Actually hope that Sunderland blow a wedge of their cash on these 3. Wes Brown is old and past it, John O'shea and Darron Gibson are made to look good by the others around them.
I mean Darron Gibson has just helped utd win the title, he starts up on twitter and has to shut it down because his own fans abuse him about how rubbish he is.

Believable4 Unbelievable1

Gibson isn't even made to look good by those around him. He still looks woeful.

ha - WES BROWN GIBSON AND O'shea wouldn't even get in out starting line up all utter S**T and i think he is considering we have signed Shaqiri and we have bid for gervinho, nzogbia and gamiero so STFU u SMB!

Mate u probably got confused reading a post earlier about Shaqiri gamiero as some one posted saying we should sign them so instead of shaqiri its *Cabaye* but i agree with you the 3 they are signing utter crap and wouldn't get in our XI

all these people sayin to go ahead and get rid of nolan and barton are severely mistaken. if you take drogba for example he had brilliant seasons in 09/10 and 08/09 and was older than barton or nolan. our record is much better when barton is in the team. barton can play on the right and in centre and is extremely hard working, he is at the peak of his career and enjoys playing for newcastle. he has offered to stay for less wages. nolan was our top scorer last season and captain. they are experienced which is needed for a great team. to have a captain who is english is vey important for communication with the manager. he has been a great leader. i think i wud struggle to pick a captain better than nolan if barton also left and other players we have been linked with come in. aswel we could do with them for the cup matches durin the season cos not everyone will be able to play every game. it could help us get far or even win the carling or fa cup. also continuity is so important. man city had great players a few seasons ago but have only recently got to where they shud be, even more players have come in i know but team building and playing together and spirit is alot to do with it. if barton and/or nolan went i feel it would definitely prolong how long it takes us to get high up the table. to get little or no money for them in years to come won't matter, and will be worth it in the end when the club is much higher up the table, where NUFC shud be!

Believable5 Unbelievable0

I agree with alot of what you are saying , but man city havent really set the place alight and as for team spirit , did you not see how many times they were fighting between themselves last season? For me its wait and see, its last chance for mike and co and im sure they now that. The signs are mixed , lets have faith until it either goes tits up for us or they pull something out the bag weather that's barton nolan eventually signing new contracts or getting the signings we need, or none of it lets see.

£4 million for Gibson or £4.8 million for Cabaye i know who I would want and it ain't the s**tty Irish player.
Plus we bid for Gameiro and Gervinho and yous bid for Brown and O'shea.

Lol, I'd rather Ashley put all of the Carroll money into Greggs, than buy Darron Gibson, or Wes Brown. or O'Shea.

Will Gervinho play every week with Arsenal with them having Walcott who needs games with Euro 2012 coming up also Tiote mentioned something bout Gervinho on Twitter but didn't quite understand it.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Believe me Gervinho will start over Walcott, without a doubt!

Ben

Yeah but Arsene Wenger seems to be a big fan of Walcott.

Well, Gervinho has said his future lies in England. So, providing contracts and such can be sorted, he'll be an EPL player next season. As for which team, well, Arsenal have Champions League football along with fellow Ivorian, Emmanuel Eboue to tempt him and I genuinely believe he'll sign for them. Liverpool seem to be spending, spending, spending- I can't see them signing Gervinho however. Newcastle are (reportedly) signing his Lille team mate, Cabaye, along with the fact Gervinho's Ivory Coast team mate, Cheick Tiote, will be having words. I personally believe he'll sign for Arsenal so I'm not getting my hopes up; if he does sign for us, what a signing it will be.

ashley will look to spend next to nowt of the 35mill we got for carroll. his plan is to put young lads with a little bit of talent of a long contract, so when and if they come good they can be sold on for a mark up, older players are worthless to him. please don't get excited for the pending arrivals of n'zogbia, he'll be worth less than we paid when his contract is due, gervinho, no chance we may have asked i dare bet that's it, cabaye no chance. if and indeed when asked at the start of the forth coming season ashley or his right hand tart lambias will say they have invested into the future, not now. we aren't arsenal nor are we his beloved tottenham. we'll never have the good days back. i'm a season ticket holder and love newcastle united but feel untill he leaves we won't have any glory days.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning. Calm down dealings are in progress its pretty evident that we'll sign Cabaye this week as its already been said and we've still got a very good chance of getting Gervinho. The contract negotiations are a bit iffy but its fine, we won't sell Nolan, He'll probably sign a two year extention next season. Barton has played well this season but isn't irreplacable.

Gervinho has agreed terms im hearing from a reliable source, fee is believed to be £10-12m.

Gervinho, Cabaye, Abeid and Taylor could all be unveiled as Newcastle players at news conference tomorrow.

Gameiro is looking more likely as no offers have been recieved from Valencia/PSG

True.pardew must develope the current team which have quality, just add cabaye, neil and one good striker, i think toon will get no 6 nextseason.

Agree0 Disagree1

6th is pushing it. We aren't better than any of the top 4, or Liverpool, or Spurs. Top 10 would do for a start.

Agree1 Disagree0

I think we could get 9th. . few teams this year had a bad end to the season wich gave us an opportunity that we didn't take. if this opportunity appears next season i am now more confiodent that we will take it as we will have more strength in depth and possibly a stronger starting XI
