Benteke handed in transfer request come on nufc get in for him he's just what we need
Believable0
Unbelievable0
Villa want £20mil+. No chance we would be in for him. Why would he leave Villa to join us, we aren't much better than they are. Man-for-man I'd like to think we are better but looking at the league table we aren't.
Agree0
Disagree0
Villa want a £20 million for a player who I think will be something special.
Also Benteke knows that he is good, he knows now he could possibly get Champions League/Europa League. And he will want around 70,000 a week at least.
We won't get him, we won't try for him!
Agree0
Disagree0
Yes we would be in for him, if ashley actually spent his money!
Agree0

So like I said, we're not in for him!

Why aren't we not bidding for mario gomez? One of the best strikers in the world at 27 years old going to fiorentina for 13 mil rising to 17 mil. Surely someone of his quality is worth bidding for?
Believable0
Unbelievable0
Is more like £22mil. He is the most over-rated player ever. If he's that good why are Bayern selling him.
Agree0
Disagree0
Gomez goal scoring record speaks for itself. He is by no means overrated. i'd say potentially underrated.
Agree0
Disagree0
It's not its €20mil and he wants to leave
Agree0
Disagree0
Don't rate him, why would we want to pay his high wages for an overrated player?
Agree0
Disagree0
How could you not rate Mario Gomez?
Seriously, the mind boggles.
The only issue Gomez has is his lack of pace, but apart from that he is a typical German marksman, he is a killer in the air and deadly with his finishing.

I for one can totally understand why Kone chose Everton over Newcastle. Notwithstanding the relationship with his previous manager, Everton is simply a bigger club in the one aspect that really matters; success.
Since their first post-war trophy win in 1963, Everton have been : champions of England (4), FA Cup winners (3), European Cup Winners Cup (1). In that time period Newcastle have won nothing.
So, a 'no brainer' for Kone.
Believable0
Unbelievable0
The fact that Newcastle withdrew their interest in him days ago probably had something to do with it.
Agree0

We are about on par with Everton in terms of reputation. Anyway we never went in for him, so he didn't have us as a choice.

Odds been slashed on Scott Sinclair's new club being Newcastle. Get him in, we need a new left winger.

Lol desperate times call for desparate measures eh?wow that's a "star signing" ain't it
Agree0

Says the Mackem that has signed a list of nobody free transfers and a striker who scored like 2 goals in 22 for Hull.
Agree0
Disagree0
Love it how the mackems are trying to mock us but are failing. They forget that sunderland is a smaller club than the likes of qpr, west ham even norwich and villa. SMB sunderland forever in our shadow. Sunderland haven't even made a star signing yet, they're just signing average 25 year old inexperienced players that probs would struggle to make our bench.
Agree0
Disagree0
Sorry I got my last fact slightly incorrect. He scored 1 PL goal for Hull in 22 games. that's worse than some centre backs. His 2nd was in a friendy.
Agree0
Disagree0
And u signed who exactly? Yeah that's right no1
Agree0

Love the fact you keep harping on about altidores record for hull! It was the first time he had played in Europe he was a kid away from home for the first time. Have a look at how many assists he had that season. you're running scared! Oh I don't know if you're aware but young players can improve and he has massively. Now look closer to home you're gagging for Remy to sign, a guy that binned Yous off for money yet now you can't wait to welcome him with open arms. Fickle. Good luck for the season because your going to need it.
Agree0
Disagree0
We could sign no players and still be light years ahead of Sunderland.
Look at your squad for goodness sake!
We have pros, top clubs would love the majority of our players.
Sunderland's squad is full of bottom shelf material that no one else wants.
If a player has a good season with Sunderland they get sold. Migs, Bent, Gyan, Henderson etc etc LOL
Agree0
Disagree0
Didn't your "pros" get battered 0-3 off our nobody's? Is one position higher light years? We're not the ones bricking it because we haven't bought anyone. Bent and Gyan went for the money a bit like Remy choosing qpr over your Lott. The money was to good to turn down for the other two. Why have none of the big teams been after any of your " superstars "? Perhaps they aren't as good as you deluded lot think.

I love the way Newcastle fans think players are just waiting for the day Newcastle come calling! 'We should sign him', 'we should go for him', face it lads, you're a wee comedy club up north that's only success is to entertain the rest of the country, and I mean OFF the field!
Scottymackem.

This coming from a smb who supports a team that will always yes always be our little neighbours forever in our shadow small club small minded fans as you have just shown now go back under your stone
Agree0

Funny you say that, because nearly every clubs fans go on about signing players, did you not know that? and I can't believe your still on about that "wee club" statement that was not meant and was from frustration, he said with our loyal and passionate fanbase we deserve to be winning trophies. anyway, we are only a laughing stock atm because of kinnear, not newcastle. but if newcastle are just a "wee club" what must that make sunderland? we're a way bigger club than you, so sunderland must have the equivalent reputation of a blue square conference team! so you've basically just contradicted yourself! HA! silly mackems, SMB

Well said and 100% true. beansafc

Looks like we are getting Scott Sinclair.
He is nothing short of perfect for us.
He is lightning fast and can play on the left wing or the left side of a forward 3.
Maybe this will silence the Doomsday prophets who have been going off the deep end a total of 1 week into the transfer window.
Believable0
Unbelievable0
Getting him?
Sorry did I miss something?
The only thing that has changed was the fact that has slashed the price from 40/1 to 4/1
That does not mean a thing!

100% agree on this mate! Sinclair and Benny on the wings would be awesome!

No where says where get him so don't go think we are this is Ashley

Sinclair is not very good and is not lighting fast at all he never takes on his man but always seems to cut inside.

He hasn't signed yet. Don't believe anything until the player has signed on the dotted line

Looks like we are getting Sinclair, don't hold ya breath
Everton etc are all wanting him
He wants to fight for his spot and City
The best we could do is a loan
Agree0

According to who the bookies I will believe it when I see it his wages will be 70k plus
Agree0

Yes he hasn't signed but odds bring slashed from 40s to 4s DOES mean a thing.

Did I hear right this morning that we are looking to get rid of Ferguson? Only caught a fleeting bit of Talksh!t so can't be sure if it's what I heard.
If so I am really disappointed as I thought that he played pretty well for us last season and has a better cross than most in our team.
All he needed to do was bulk up a bit and in two years I reckon he could be a great winger.
Believable0
Unbelievable0
I haven't heard anything, but been Newcastle this could be true.
I see this two ways
1. Newcastle just want shot, and try and make a little profit on him
2. We all think he will be something special (a Duff when he was at Chelsea possibly?) so this might just be media sh!t, and we will hold on to him until he is good and then sell him to make a big profit!
But like I said it's Newcastle, we just do whatever, the board doesn't care about the club. Just the £££

It's going to be a loan move to Birmingham by the look sof it, to get 1st team experience.

Ahh that would make sense, but why not give him experience in the cups and on the bench?

So our management said last season due to having a small squad, and loads of injuries it affected our performance in the league. Also saying that Europa was another cause of this by playing too many games!
OK so why are we just selling players, I know Perch wasn't the best player we have, but he would happily play anywhere on the pitch for us. A very good utility man.
Now Gosling is out of the door and heading to Crystal Palace. Again not the best player (all ways injured, or never picked) but again it's another loss with no replacement in sight!
They have clearly said what our problems were last year and now we are selling even more players and depleting our squad even more than it was last year!
How the hell is this a good move on Newcastle behave?
They way I see it now we need: (that's if no more players are sold before the end of the window)
CB x2
LB - I would rather see Santon playing down the left wing rather than at left back (just my opinion)
RB - Cover for Debuchy as he is our only remaining RB (young Trav I think is still too far away from been able to play in the Preimer League week in and out)
LW - If Santon stays left back
St x2 - and good quality ones as well no stupid young kids that are going to cost £1 million to buy
Any one any ideas who we should bring in, or anyone think of any other positions that we should try and add too?
NU - IJB - FC

Do You support the Toon?
Whats wrong with Hadiara and Mwbia did you forget them and Briggy
Had they not been signed Any of these 3 players being mooted as possible players coming in now the fans would be over the moon
Agree0
Disagree0
Hadiara is 19 he needs to learn of someone with experience. He's a hell of a prospect, but I still think another year/two of been a sub is better for him.
Mbiwa hell of an act, but he's CB not a left back and he likes to play RB and CDM. Why pull him out of position? I'd rather him play CB along side Big Coll (if he stays).
Biggie - eh left back? He's 3foot tall and no weight or muscle about him what so ever! Keep him where he is good at CDM/CM a new Tiote, a better more disciplined version! He quick and can mop up a mess
Agree0
Disagree0
We are letting average players go, because we need younger and better quality. Gosling did nothing, williamson can do a job, but we need someone younger and better if we want to repeat 11/12. Perch also did a job but again, we need someone younger. Obertan, lazy inconsistent we can get better quality. Jonas, past his peak, brings nothing to attack, just defence (where he mostly looses possession or wins a foul) we need someone younger and better quality. Ameobi, lazy, old, can get better quality.
We have top class players in M'Biwa (who was a class buy) sissoko, cisse, cabaye, tiote, ben arfa, krul, coloccini, santon, they just did not perform last season but when on form, they can match up to the likes of man u, tottenham, liverpool chelsea.
Players like Sammy ameobi, Haidara, Campbell, Bigirimana, Marveaux, Anita, Alnwick, Tavernier, Dummett, Good will all have to step up to the plate next season to replace those who have left, along with new signings like Kemen, Sinclair, maybe Remy, Bent, maybe lescott.
Agree0
Disagree0
We're four players down to what we had already!
Your clearly missing the point, we won't replace the players that we have lost! Because we won't buy anyone!
Marveaux is 27, he has been there for nearly three years and has never been a regular, can't even beat Jonas out of the team. Kinda' tells you everything, not as good as you think!
Campbell still to be seen, we have seen him kick a ball twice! and 40 minutes of playing time makes him an up and coming star? None of us have seen anything that makes him look the little bit special, if he was that special he would have broke into the team by now! Rooney Owen, Ronaldo so on all broke in by the time they were 16, scoring before they were 17.
Sammy please he's two pins running round like a lost dog!
Haidara class player, still needs the time to grow, and could learn a lot from Santon!
Alnwick, this season he might be given a chance now that Harper has gone, but it will be a very slim on and he will be lucky to get five games under his belt, and they have said he isn't going to be loaded out.
Biggie i'm expecting great things from him in the future, possibly a new England star on the horizon?
Tarernier seems to have the ability, but his knowledge let's him down all the time. he clearly needs more playing time!
Dummett, Good will be loaned out again!
Lescott will never come, that's a pipe dream if I have ever heard one!

those who thought Austin would have been a decent buy, you can rule that out as he now having medical at hull. strange how other clubs have targets and getting them, why are we not bidding for our targets, if we have any at all
Believable0
Unbelievable0
We have no targets!
How could we?! Pardew has just returned for his holidays, while JFK is on his.
JFK will over see every transfer, no AP anymore.
Until they talk with each other, and AP tells JFK what additions we want to the squad, we won't get any new players through the door.
I honestly think this is the only reason why Cashly has brought in JFK. With the amount of confusion between the staff, we'll never sign anyone!
Agree0
Disagree0
Pardew said this morning they have 4 targets this window. Aubameyang, Douglas and likely Kone were 3 of them.
So now we're down to 1 target.
Everything else is a plan B.
Agree0

You don't know that we haven't bidded for any players. Just because media aren't reporting it, it doesn't mean nothings happening.
Agree0

How can we bid for players when JFK isn't there, that's his job now right?
To sort out transfers?

Pards said they will TRY to get signings over the line!. Now where have I heard that before : (
Agree0
