Tony Pulis is favourite to replace Alan Pardew. What are people's thoughts on this? Put aside the debate on whether Ashley would actually do this. let's just say if pardew was replaced by Pulis, what would your reaction be like? Would you welcome the appointment? Do you think he'd do well?

Not brillaint but he couldn't be worse

Pullis is a manager who can handle mid table mediocrity & that's all Ashley wants so it would suit him but frankly although a slight improvement on Pardew he would be only stop gap in most fans minds

Didn't Peter Coates get rid off him because he wanted Stoke to play better football? I mean Peter Coates is a very down to earth guy, he doesn't expect Stoke in Europe any time soon, he's very patient, but he eventually got rid. says it all imo. I don't see Pulis as an improvement.

Can't see Pulis coming when he just left Palace through a lack of signings. Ashley will see that as a clear sign he can't work within tight budgets. Pulis lost the dressing room at stoke, just what is happening here right now.

We have the lad who just got sacked from Leeds lined up. Hefitsthe bill perfectly.

Pulis would sort out our defence until one of them gets injured.
Pulis would be a step down if anything, at least Pards has tried going forward, I really feel if we got a decent CB pairing and a backup and of course a proven goal scorer we would do well, he did before with Carroll!?!?!?!
De Boer or Frank Rijkaard or someone along those lines would be my choice to replace Pards but nothing else we either go all out or stick it out. Although I don't know many managers that can do anything without a decent striker or a decent defense??

On another note I would love to see Asprilla working with the strikers, he could show them a thing or 2!!!

Dickie you may be right but a certain Brian Clough turned an ordinary ex NUFC player Frank Clark into a European Cup champion.

Even tino himself didn't know what he was doing when he played. I'm not sure how he would coach it. Like any genius he is as mad as a box of frogs.

Aspilla is still chewing now and always when he played, I was fortunate to meet KK and he asked not ask what Aspilla chews when he is on the pitch

Ed Ha
I think we know what he meant
KK time the home dressing room
had lots of boxes of chewing gum beside the communal bath
But Tino carried his own packet

Whatever Tino was chewing, it sounds like Vida has had a double helping. Vic won't let you live that last post down mate :-)

Deseree I Don't need any helpings of what Tino chewed (whatever it was) and definately not to know what Vic has to say

Reports today Performance in 2014 The least away wins, the third worst goal difference and one of the lowest win percentages in the entire league

Talk about the Titanic can't sink, this is why the people who have concern and post on here know the facts not like someone who I won't mention again who feels his dream is being shattered by negative posters including you.

Vida you might be right about Frank Clark but Pardew has never made players better. It was the league the fans and the passion that made them better. As long as the players NUFC make better never play against us and continue to sell for a higher price than we payed I for one am happy! We have to let the decent players go so that they can get CL footy, because it sure ain't coming here! We can't even spend any of the money we got from the league only 200K odd more than we got from player sales. Ashley must be looking at everything long term with the facility upgrades (training ground and screen) but what about the now? I can see us spending again in January where we are usually one of the busier teams and pick up bargains or players with at least match fitness and playing time under their belts!!

Dickie we never have answers so everything is pure speculation we can as always wait and see but January coukd be too late 4 us
Southampton last time out 4-0 so its a good measuring stick.
