So Swansea won then, that will be great news for the Mackems.
It is not like we had any worries, we were going to turn QPR over anyway.

Wigan will beat arsenal they did last season when they needed too in the run in last season.
They will beat or draw with villa.

Wigan are more than capable of beating Arsenal, they did it last year and if we fail to beat QPR, well it's not good don't think a point is enough. And Villa are safe so can afford to ease up last day to Wigan while we face Arsenal.

Well you won't be dissappointed then when we go down. we don't need luck we need a miracle. Wigan got beaten fighting we don't know what that means. The whole country apart from NUFC fans want Newcastle to go down.

Most supporters I speak to at away games have Newcastle as a second team. {Ed023's Note - The league needs Newcastle IMO but saying that I never wished a team relegation. I said before last nights game I expect Wigan to go down and I'm definitely keeping my opinion now}

a lot of fans on here not very optimistic about staying up as a sunderland fan let's first see how wigan get on tonight. i'm glad we salvaged a point last night because on sunday if we win and Norwich or you lads lose we are safe and as I have said all along on my posts on here i'm hoping both us and yourselves get the points we need to stop up

Last week I geeked it out an produced a table displaying the bottom 5 teams and who they play and then predicted what points are required to stay up. Based on these predictions I came up with an almost infallible guide to who would stay up and who would go down. Based on my predictions we were going to pick up a point at West Ham and then beat QPR as we do not have a choice if we want to stay in the league. Anyhow, based on my 4 point prediction combined with the points we already had we stay in the division. and Wigan go down.
I did not however factor Wigan winning at WBA in. therefore Swansea and Arsenal need to lay the boot in big time otherwise it could be bad news. my geekery predicted the following:
Newcastle: West Ham (a), QPR (a) and Arsenal (h) = 4 points
Sunderland: Stoke (h), Southampton (h) and Tottenham (a) = 4 points
Wigan: WBA (a), Swansea (h), Arsenal (a) and Aston Villa (h) = 4 points
Aston Villa: Norwich (a), Chelsea (h) and Wigan (a) = 6 points
Norwich: Aston Villa (h), WBA (h) and Man C (a) = 2 points
If my Nostradamus like foresight comes to fruition then we should be safe. Not so if you are a Wigan or Norwich fan.

Getting slaughtered on Everton Banter pages lads, there's only one lad Deggsy that seems to like us Geordies, that's what Pardew has done for us, we need to get rid as soon as we have secured our Prem place.
Now come on, don't be an person and just try and put down newcastle. You know that everton and newcastle are two similar clubs. We always have a good game when we play eachother. Moyes had a good season in his first then finished 17th the next. Perhaps that could be the story with pardew and newcastle.
