Very confident we will make at least 6 signings if not more depends who goes .We have been very quick into the transfer market made offers and still doing loads of negotiating. We are real deal makers very sharp, very together, best we ve ever been, Graham Carr is the business. Am really looking forward to see who we actually eventually sign

Enrique out and getting Taylor in? Ashley got a thing for people named Taylor? Surely this isn't good business?

Same Newcastle, Same Story. We won't sign Gervinho - Anyone who thinks we will is an idiot. He'll never pick a team with so much controversy with the club having players leave constantly like Given and N'zogbia. and now it's a similar story with Barton and Nolan. This will be a bad transfer window in my opinion. feel free to reply to my post.

Believable2 Unbelievable3

Just let go the players who didn't understand what manager means, to throw away the wages of players which didn't have quality enuff, so then, pardew can increase for star player wages.

Nolan and Barton are on excessive contracts neither are getting any younger or quicker nor will they improve so I can understand the tough stance on contracts. They will both leave as there already is lots of interest.Concerned that we replace with top quality tough performers with leadership capabilities.Playing pretty entertaining football like Arsenal is great but we need to win trophies garner points to move upwards

Believable6 Unbelievable0

I think nolan and barton were holding our team up, they did it this season and in the championship, getting rid of hughton was a big mistake, chris knew how to manage barton and he was the one who released bartons form, joey was consistant throught the whole season, our best player in my opinion

There's a one-in one-out policy for wages this summer. Think about it, it makes sense:

(Players in/out based on commonest rumours)

IN: Cabaye, 50k-ish wages, OUT: Smith, 60k
IN: Gervinho 50k-ish OUT: Barton 65k
IN: Neil Taylor 20k OUT: Enrique 40k

Looks like pruning from Ashley to me, looking for bargains (relatively speaking) to replace our more expensive first team.

Believable4 Unbelievable1

Enrique is on more thank 40k. and Gervinho will want more than 50k.

To be honest i think Nolan Bein a greedy T*at hes 30 now and wnts a 5yr contract he can't run quickly now let alone in 5yrs! As for joey barton do i really think hes a player who deserves 65k a week. . No, he had 1 good season out of 4 so i think he owes NUFC and 2yr deal should have been considerd or atleast tried compromise on 3yr deal. Thurs is the day we will find out where we stand in terms of transfers and what to expect but i feel confident in the type of calibur we bring will be a top quality!
NUFC REVOLUTION! (WelshToon)

I'm pretty sure Nolan is only 28. So-much-so, he moves around the field like someone who is over 30! Although he is a huge part of our team (on and off the field), there has been many games where he has been a spectator on the pitch. I agree with getting younger blood in the squad, but I don't agree with how the contracts are being dealt with (Barton included). Then again, I think Barton was very good for us last season, but my personal opinion is that his head went up his arse as soon as there was positive speculation of him. If he leaves, he leaves. We need to stay positive and the best way to do so is make decent signings!

MIKE ASHLEY HAS TO JUST SELL THE CLUB AND MOVE ON. TAKE A CUT PRICE DEAL FOR THE CLUB AND JUST LEAVE US ALONE. YOU HAVE DONE ENOUNGH OF DAMAGE TO US, SELL ARE STAR PLAYER AND YOU WONT GIVE US THE 35M. I SURE HOPE WE DO SIGN CABAYE AND GERVINHO AND ABOUT 5 OTHERS AT THIS RAT EWE WILL HAVE KNOW PLAYERRS AT THE CLUB NEXT SEASON. ITS JUST A BIG GAME TO HIM, AND YOUR MAN DERICK LAMBIESS SHOULD JUT LEAVE TO. BRING BACK FREDDY SHEPARED. ADEBAYOR WOULD BE GRAT TO SIGN LETS HOPE WE CAN GET A DEAL FOR HIM, SEASON LOAN.

GERVINHO AND CABAYE LOOK SET TO KOIN US, BUT ALL THIS THURSDAY STUFF BETTER BE TRUE, IF NEWCASTLE HAVE CALLED A PRESS CONFRENCE FOR THURSDAY AND THAT THE MEDIA IS GOING TO IT LETS HOPE ITS SOME GREAT NEWS, ONE BEING CABAYE SIGNING 2 BEING GERVINHO 3 BEING MAYBE WE HAVE GOT SOMEONE ELSE.EVEN BETTER NEWS TO ALL NEWCASTLE UNITED FOOTBALL CLUB FANS WOULD BE THAT MIKE ASHLEY AND DERICK LAMBIESS ARE LEAVING THE CLUB, ID RATHER HRER THAT NEWS ON THURSDAY RATHER THAN ANY SIGININGS. THEY ARE BOTH RECKING ARE! ! ! ! ! ! CLUB! ! ! ! !

Believable1 Unbelievable7

Ok, for a start who made you an expert on all things newcastle? Ashley isn't gonna spend any money eh? Then you follow it up with "we're signing cabaye and gervinho. .hmmm getting a little mixed up are we. You realise that the transfer window hasn't even opened up yet, so therefore we can't actually sign any players. Also. .although I'm not a massive fan of Ashley, he's managed to bankroll the club and keep it going, rather than sending it into administration. I actually laughed at the thought of bringing Freddy Sheppard back. .he was worse than Ashley. Don't try and speak for every single Newcastle fan, because not all of us want to go on a rant about the clubs owners. We're happy to wait and see if the money is spent, then if it isn't, then and only then can we go on a massive rant. As for Nolan and Barton, they were asking too much. They want 4/5 year contracts and they aint exactly spring chickens. 2 year extensions is more than enough. They're just being too greedy.

Finally I think you need to spend less time ranting, and more time going to school given you atrocious spelling

Agree7 Disagree1

Ur mental man. . theyve brought stability to our club and we clearly are getting the 35 million otherwise we wouldn't be signing gervinho cabaye and others would we. i agree they havnt done the greatest job but they havnt ruined the club by any means

Agree5 Disagree2

Im dyslexic mate but thank for making me feel sh*t about it

Agree1 Disagree4

Why are some people so anti ashley. Everybody makes mistakes and yes he has made a lot and some massive ones at that. But he now has the club financially sound which it hasn't been for years and got some potentially good young players coming through. If he spends most of the £35m this summer and brings in some of the big players we are linked with next year could be a very good season indeed. Also wasn't it kevin Nolan and Joey barton who were saying it was important to get rid of the players who were only her for the money and were not bothered about the club when we got relegated, yet now there contracts are up and they aren't going to get the same type of package they got when they first signed, doesn't that put them in the same boat as the ones who left. They happy to play for the club while they are on long contracts with sky high wages but when it comes to the end. . . well we shall see!

Ure obv not

I think some of you are getting too far ahead of yourselves- as per usual. Whilst it's lovely being linked to Gervinho amongst others, Barton and Nolan are both unhappy with the latter rejecting a contract offer and also, Enrique wants to leave. On top of this, the only concrete offer we've made is for someone who has never played in the top flight before.

This summer period could turn horribly wrong- if Barton isn't 100% behind Newcastle along with Nolan (Our two key players) and we don't make any quality signings- and I mean around 6 good players, then I don't know about Europe, we could be looking at a relegation threat.

Bid for Taylor may mean Jose is on his way

Believable6 Unbelievable0

Its been reported that taylor is being bought as a backup and not a replacement. although i do have similar suspicions to you on this. lets hope we can keep him next season as he makes such a difference to our team.

Charles N'zogbia has told SkySports he wants to join a bigger club who have better ambitions that the relegation fight. Newcastle, Sunderland and Liverpool are the likely candidates. Newcastle are favourites to sign him along side with Gervinho and Yohan Cabaye.
Other sources have said that Wigan Athletic will accept a bid in the region of £10million.
Charles N'zogbia had been quoted on Twitter mentioning that he loves Newcastle as it is a great club. For me its probably a done deal.

Believable0 Unbelievable1

Zog said he wanted to leave newcastle for a bigger club and ended up at wigan, ha ha would not want him back, good player crap temprement

Agree3 Disagree0

Zog has worked amazingly hard at wigan and deserves a move to a top club. personally i think it would be a good move for both him and newcastle if he signed as i do not beleive that we will be fighting relegation next season and possibly be pushing for europe if not just a top 10 finish. . but i do not believe n'zogbia would be able to make the leap between wigan and a top 4 club straight away.

Daily Mail has said that Arsenal and Man City are fighting over gervinho. The paper has said Newcastle withdrew their bid due to the high price.

we have 35 million to spend and we have already agreed a fee. price is not an issue for us.

Arsenal have been in contact with lille. But lille have informed them they want the 14m upfront with no installments. which makes nufc front runners! And lol at mancity they don't need him so that all just tosh! (WelshToon)

Can't see us playing two left backs (Enrique and N.Taylor) and no strikers - Gervinho is a winger.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Only 10 players next season

Agree2 Disagree0

Not necessarily a winger can play a striker got an eye for goal bit like kalou can be a winger or front man (Welshtoon)
