I wanted Pards out last summer for Martinez, but when it did not happen I have argued all season that at least Pards was trying to get us playing better football and deserved great credit for achieving what he has with the cr@p he has to put up with from the owner. NO MORE HE HAS TO GO, of course he won't though.
To blame the referee for Saturday is dreadful, it was a foul for the free kick for the first goal by a player Pards picked to play because he is work horse never mind the fact he will be leaving in the summer. The way Elliott exposed that side of the goal when it was the obvious choice for a Mata and then the pathetic slow feet and ridiculous attempt to save it was terrible from a player Pards brought in when selling Forster for a pittance.
Pards then blames injuries for the defeat too, what a joke. No flair or creativity in the team he says yet HBA is on the bench and Marveaux not even considered. Obertan may not be the best but at least he has pace so where is he? Gouff has been woeful lately yet he stays in the team, why, because the perception is that he works hard, well not lately matey and maybe if you played him in the position he was bought to play in, striker, you might get more out of him and he is bound to be more of a threat than De Jong wow did we dodge a bullet there when he chose BMG over us, £7m to keep him do me a favour.
Worst of all young Armstrong on the bench and he brings on Strolla instead as if he is suddenly going to score a hatrick after not scoring all season. Any decent manager with a view to the future would have grabbed the chance to give Armstrong a taste of running out at SJP.
I am so disillusioned by what is going on, and almost yearn for the Fat Freddy days when at least he backed the manager financially and had the good sense to get rid when it was obviously going wrong (most of the time, SBR excepted).
