Why isn't Smith even on the bench has he had a spectacular falling out with Pardew? Why dont you wage share and get him out on loan for a couple of months then a Championship team may be more tempted to take him on more permanently in January? Seems silly just waiting for January as the guy isn't getting any football at all

Smith isn't on the bench because he's way down the pecking order at NUFC. Guthrie, Gosling and Abeid are all preferred to him as substitutes.

Why don't you reach an agreement to terminate his contract and let him bugger off to championship? easier said than done I guess
