I just watched Sebastian Rudy for Germany U21s.

What a player, he is exactly like Modric. 23 years old and plays for Hoffenhiem who have had a terrible season.

Would love to see this guy at Newcastle, he would be perfect playing in the position where we currently have Tiote playing.

Yeah because Modric and Tiote are almost identical, come to think of it they even look alike!

''Yeah because Modric and Tiote are almost identical, come to think of it they even look alike!''

Who said Modric and Tiote were identical? Did you read the original comment?

The post said that Rudy plays in an identical fashion to Modric.

I guess you have never heard of a link up player being played in defensive midfield? (The Defensive midfield position is the place a midfielder can get the most space to be an architect)

Which planet are you just back from lol.

Agree0 Disagree0

A deep laying player that can play as a link up man is the whole point of the post.

Modric and Tiote are unsimilar, Huge round of applause for you.

I think maybe the fact that Rudy and Tiote are unalike is the whole point.

Try to keep up mate.

Am I funny yet?

Dutch U21 players Wijnaldum and Maher (two players previously linked with us) scored tonight against Germanys U21. Both look decent, would happily have them both. Rising stars.

The problem is that English football has suffered by having too much money being spent bringing in over sea players in order to try and gain short term instant success. Not enough money is spent on youth development and coaching, look at the German model, long term solutions work. If Newcastle made a plan to invest more in youth development the long term stains would be better. Tbh grassroots football needs a massive overhaul and brought up to modern standards, far too much kick and rush being taught!

Heard that due to Sporting Lisbon's financial troubles they're listening to any offers for their top players. Van Wolfswinkel has gone to Norwich & i've heard rumblings that we're looking at Jeffren & Diego Capel, both quick wide men that NUFC are in dire need for!

Heard it here first {Ed052's Note - Capel has been hawked about, and Swansea are interested. Jeffren had the chance of France in January, and, I would guess will have again}

i am sick of all these foreigners playing for us. at best they are mercenaries at worst they are cheapening the reputation of a famous club and the geordie public. mike ashley is a man that knows the price of everything and the value of nowt man!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Well what english players are there that are not too old and not too expensive? Tom Ince would be good, but players like james tomkins I don't want!

Agree0 Disagree0

I thought I'd seen the scrapings from the bottom of the barrel till I read this. Just a few Englishmen who've moved for money: Milner, Lescott, Cahill, Downing, Bent, Johnson x 2, Rooney, Smalling, Jones, + our own Perch, Williamson, Gosling, Guthrie, Shearer, etc ad infinitum. And some foreigners who've been a credit to the EPL: Schmiechel, Solskjaer, Coloccini, Bergkamp, Cantona and many more.

Agree0 Disagree0

And he'd prefer Bramble to Colo, I suppose.
