I agree, Santon was top class. . . But my worry is the way Ba was sitting when all others were celebrating Cisse's second goal. He's got a goal drought at the moment but his input for the team this season is huge. His confidence is low at the moment . . . iToon

Believable3 Unbelievable0

Because hes been stuck out on the left the past few games. Weve been playing 433 to accommodate HBA, but it means Dembas been oushed out of position. Today was the first time ive seen him and Cisse swap (Cisse going out on the left, Demba centre)

Agree3 Disagree0

I noticed that to. Hopefully he was just disappointed not to score. 433 suits us look really strong and compact.

Agree1 Disagree0

The biggest prob is. This shape suits us so much more , but two number 9s both want middle (19 ) we def look tighter when we loose the ball . Gounod for you ap .

Agree1 Disagree0

Wouldnt worry too much about ba not celebrating, obviously hes not goin to be happy cos hes not scoring but as we all saw Pardews started swapping them around every so often, but with the way that Swansea play it jus so happened that cisse got the chances. wait till the bolton game and al bet you a tenner he scores

Agree1 Disagree0

He said on twitter no striker is happy when they don't score. he also says he is very happy for the club and can't wait for europe next season. well maybe the last bit was me hoping he'd say that.

I know the swans had 80% possesion but they never looked like scoring they outpassed us but we outplayed them, santon was brilliant and bringing on ferguson completely changed the game in our favour

Believable4 Unbelievable0

Completely agree mate - it's not about how much possession you have, it's about how you use it.

Agree5 Disagree0

Totally agree. They never really looked like scoring. Anyone else notice how much stronger Ferguson looks.

Agree1 Disagree0

Ferguson was told to build up, and he has! good little player he is!

Agree1 Disagree0

Yeah fergie looks quality. We changed our formation when Raylor came on and they were unable to break us down. Similar performance to Stoke, hit them on the break and press in our third of the pitch.
Quality goals from The Ciss too. Me thinks that Ba may leave in the summer though, but hopefully we can get some good cash for him. Love it if he stays and if we get euro footie we will need some new recruits - LB, another CB

Agree0 Disagree0

We'd have that much possesion if we passed it sideways and backwards, the have no killer ball, and cant attack with pace, nice to watch tho and they've done brilliantly this season, well done to them.

Anyone else notice how Ba seemed dismayed at being subbed today. I think that Cisse is overshadowing him too much and if he doesnt get back in the limelight I think he will exercise that release clause in the summer. Its the first time iv thought this as I thought he seemed really happy but another game without a goal and then getting subbed - I think it could be the sign he has been waiting for!

Believable2 Unbelievable2

There was a glimpse of him behind Pardew when Cisse got the 2nd and he didn't look a happy chappy at all

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah he didn't look happy, but every top striker goes though bad spots, just ask Torres.

Agree3 Disagree0

Im sunderland here and i have this feeeling that ba has been told he can leave at the end of the season and he seems his going through the motions also you are being linked with quiet a few forwards lately and to show we are all not bitter well done on the win today

Agree1 Disagree0

Cheers mate and you might be right who knows..

Agree1 Disagree0

I don't think he is going through the motions at all he has been grafting like mad the last few games. Since cider has arrived he has been asked tO play a different position. I'm sure the goals will come again.

Agree2 Disagree0

I reckon he was unwell as he looked out of sortsand flat today .He was second over to Cisse when he scored .

Agree0 Disagree0

He hasnt looked so sharp since africa

Agree0 Disagree0

Do you not think that the Toon might already know that Ba is going to exercise the release clause? That's why he may be playing on the left....maybe we are already looking to replace him in the transfer market with some one who can play one the left of a front 3? Can't fault his effort or work rate though!

Well guys I fancy a win today....swansea play open, attacking football and with our pace and skill on the break we can really hurt them.

We have to be careful and show plenty of respect but there is no reason we shouldn't be looking at 3 points here.

At home we had 60% possession and they had no shots on target...I know there are different at home but in our current form we should get at them.

Not newcastle lad sunderland in fact well done on ye call got it spot on although ive said on here a few times you have rode ye luck i think you are finnishing the season well and if anyone slips up ye might just snatch that 4th placed spot but if ye finnish 6th and everton pip ye for europe i still think ye can be proud of ye club im also proud of our season after the start we had cant wait for next season and once again well done on ye season so far

Agree0 Disagree0

Thanks....yeh sunderland have shown a lot of improvement under o'neil....over all performance has improved and results are very good.

Be nice having two good teams in the north east....been a long time since either of us were this good and long may it continue.
