I always want NUFC to win but part of me is glad were out of the cup just what we need more games with europe and a relegation dog fight on our hands. Brighton are our bogey team and we were playing our 2nd squad, I dont think Pardew wanted us to go any further. Still belive in Pards at least see who we bring in clearly going to get a striker, would love Remy or Kalou* surely one of them will come off. Come on guys. IN PARDEW I TRUST

Believable4 Unbelievable6

Yeah, I just want this team to win some silverware and this is another year that we've squandered that chance. P*ss poor planning or unlucky with the first team being out? No-just p*ss poor all round.

Today was awful Pardew clearly can't motivate the players and falling out with Colo the other week it looks like he's losing the dressing room. However for me there was one positive from the game I thought Tavernier played well and is one of the very few who could walk off the pitch with his head held high.

I think the reason Pardew doesn't play Campbell is he is too small for the hoofball that Pardew wants to play because what other manager would bring on a striker that has scored two goals in over fifty games to try and get us back into a game over a quick player with an eye for goal?

Believable4 Unbelievable2

Tavernier had a good game! Did you watch it? Garbage couldn't pass a ball 5 yard, crossing was appalling and positional play poor. Yeah he was great! We could have had Messi up front make no difference can't get the ball that far up the field in a controlled manner

Agree3 Disagree2

I did not even bother watching the game yesterday, I knew it was going to be a dull display with us not interested, anyways the 2nd poster has described pretty much every Tavernier performance I have ever seen.

He must be doing something special on the training pitch because he has always been woeful, he should be playing in league 1.

to the person slagging off oldies, the lad has been watching us since the 60s and not seen us win a domestic trophy in that time i for one get frustrated when we get knocked out of cups cos its the only way we will win something, and to go out playing a reserve team who looked devoid of ideas is asking for bother, i myself would like my team to win something in my lifetime but lets face facts it wont happen as long as the club treats the fa cup and its fans with the contempt they are doing.del

Believable6 Unbelievable0

Well said I have been going since 1967 and still have my season ticket but have had enough of Ashley and pardew please go now today was an absolute dIsgrace

Agree6 Disagree0

Hardly think we could do much different today with injuries and suspensions
Yes they were crap but who else was there apart from starting krul and marveaux

Agree1 Disagree3

Debuchy, cisse, collocini, tiote, cabaye, taylor, krul

Agree0 Disagree2

Before all the blinkered fans say injuries are costing us, wait till our top players are back etc etc REMEMBER, before all the injuries we were also playing Sh**e! Pardew has a Plan A, Hoofball, no plan B. HBA, Cabaye, Marveaux, Anita, Santon, Cisse are FOOTBALLERS so play on the floor. The Ameobis need kicked into touch with Williamson, Jonas as they are championship at best. And before we shout for Pardews head, WHO would come to manage us? Ashley wants a Puppet and he has him.

Believable5 Unbelievable0

I am not a Newcastle fan, but I agree with OP, why did Pardew get 8 year contract? He is now complacent, even if sacked, which I doubt, he walks away with millions in compensation. Also players know this also and he only plays his favourites. They are in their comfort zone, little effort for big contracts.
You will not want to hear this, but Newcastle are THE perennial underachiever club. Timalloy

Agree4 Disagree0

We are the perennial underachievers and we have been for years. It still boils my p*ss though.

Agree6 Disagree0

I did not watch the Brighton game but Newcastle have been playing a lot less hoofball recently, have you not noticed that we are getting a lot more possession in games, we even went to the Emirates and shaded possession in the first half, and this is Arsenal who are the experts at holding the ball, especially at home.

I do not like hoofball as much as the rest but Pardew has been changing things.

the toon need to win something, and to be seen putting out a decent enough team who is capable of beating a championship team, i for one am fed up that the manager shows no interest in winning cups and only cares for league form which is crap, and dont have any chance of winning.it goes to show how out of touch the manager is newcastle united was once famous for winning cups now we are famous for being soft touches getting knocked out by lower league teams and dont the tv companies know this theyve witnessed our last three..del

Believable2 Unbelievable0

Even a game against one of your teams you will be playing in the championship next season and your rubbish, 7 years of Pardew left. HAHA oh and did you catch Demba BA scoring 2 goals at Southampton today!

Agree1 Disagree3

Pardew started well at west ham then lost it started well charlton faded players must just get sick of him like everyone else I suppose hes won nowt as a player or manager

Agree3 Disagree0

His record of getting teams relegated after one good season worries me

Agree4 Disagree0

05 Jan 2013 15:09:17
Williamson is a disgrace wat the hell was he doing the day both goals came from poor marking y this man is still a Newcastle player i will never know not even good enough for a non league club but yet he's playing week in week out am starting to dislike wat is happen at the club at the min and if we don't sort it out we would find life even hard in the championship

Believable8 Unbelievable0

05 Jan 2013 14:55:59
Where do we go from here..had enough of Pardew.

Believable7 Unbelievable0

Get a grip, that wasn't even a second string side out today.

Agree3 Disagree6

05 Jan 2013 14:55:38
On BBC sport gossip saying QPR favourites to sign Remy, hope this isn't true

Believable4 Unbelievable3

It's not. Who would be attracted to QPR?

Agree6 Disagree4

Try again! Who would be attracted to coming to us? We are absolute SH*TE. Manager- no tactics, sh*t decision making!
Squad- lacking experience and most of them couldn't give a monkeys as long as they get payed!

Both Ameobi's Williamson Ranger Abied I would sack everyone of them after today's performance and everyone else should be fined a weeks wages.

Absolute Tripe

Agree8 Disagree0

Well said mate

05 Jan 2013 14:34:03
I've had enough of watching these so called premier league players today we've seen we aren't even a good championship team . pardew and Ashley need to leave.

and yes I am a season ticket hold and been to every home game for fours seasons and we look a worse side now than when we got relegated

Believable7 Unbelievable0

Those weren't premier league players. That wasn't even a second string XI. Get a grip.

Agree2 Disagree7

If there not premier league players then what are they doing at the club?

Agree6 Disagree0

05 Jan 2013 14:31:17
Williamson was garbage again at fault for both goals he's not even championship level. Making him captain is a disgrace to the name of Newcastle United

Believable12 Unbelievable2

Obertan was at fault for the first goal, did not track his runner therefore tanvernier had to go out to try to stop the cross and then Williamson across to the next man wrong footed trying to cover. simple if obertan tracked the runner cross doesnt come in and no shuffle needed.

Agree4 Disagree0

05 Jan 2013 14:29:39
worst ive seen the toon play ive said all week play williamson and we lose two mistakes by him get rid. s ameobi passes to imaginary players he's crap brighton player who s amiobi tackled apparently getting an oscar. lone ranger crap come on get a grip. ashley get some cash out or we are doomed

Believable7 Unbelievable1

Agree6 Disagree2

05 Jan 2013 14:27:19
Williamson cost us the tie last season when he turned his head for a own goal. Both goals today were Williamson fault today watch the goals and see what's he doing for both the goals shame on the Newcastle players who that shirt on and play like that. A very dissapointed toon fan Bobby.

Believable4 Unbelievable0

05 Jan 2013 14:21:04
go now pardew you clueless clown. tomnufc.

Believable5 Unbelievable1

05 Jan 2013 14:20:22
1978 fans at the match today by far the best support in the land, its time to get rid of players like ranger both ameobi brothers obertean they have no quality our first eleven can compete with anypne in the league our second eleven cant even get close to a championship team no pace no power no creativity no desire apart from a few anita biggi santon all worked jard

Believable4 Unbelievable3

Frankly I would have ripped up Ranger's contract months ago. Again proves he has nothing to offer on the pitch and a liability off - just get shot of him.

Agree6 Disagree0

05 Jan 2013 14:16:53
Well our fringe players have proved what level they should be playing at. I'm including Williamsoff and Perch in that list

Q: What's the difference between 0-0 and 2-0??
A: Mike Williamson

05 Jan 2013 13:24:50
What a pile of sh*t. Brighton can actually match up to our championship defence. No imagination, no invention. Feels like we're playing against a bunch of five year olds and letting then win. We haven't won away in the cup in like 5 years which is absolutely shocking. We need a manager and owner who can actually take us to the next level. Ameobi is crap. Marveaux and Campbell need to come on to give us a spark. One man in the box being man marked. Need tighter marking. We need a manager who can actually do man management and give inspiring team talks. I can't actually see us climbing back up the table even with like 4 signings. Prove me wrong Alan, prove me wrong.

Believable4 Unbelievable0

Wat I want to know is every time we go forward the midfield just stops Aneobi isn't good with his feet at the best of times but expecting him to run at defences is a joke especially when he heads the ball and no one is there !

Agree0 Disagree0

Thought wayne bridge had a good game

Agree0 Disagree1

Agree, but Wayne Bridge can play football, unlike the lot that turned up for us.

05 Jan 2013 14:02:05
Watching the match what a load of s**t no creativity no pace no heart from anyone on the pitch i feel so sorry for the away fans

Believable6 Unbelievable0

Alan pardew hasn't, t got a clue I think last year was a lucky one off probably go down with the form they are showing why keep paying the amoebic, s they are simply league one players and that oberton is Sunday morning standard

Agree4 Disagree0

Sack the board

Agree5 Disagree0

We only got 5th as chelsea and a few other teams did not play up2 there standard

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Jan 2013 13:53:50
what the f### is going on watching a team of rank amateurs who could not grace a Sunday park pitch is this what my beloved club has come to Pardew - you have not got a clue GO.

Believable5 Unbelievable4

You cant blame pardew have you seen the team all of our good players are injured

Agree2 Disagree5

How badly are they injured?
A lot of players get injections etc. before a game.
Is it the fact that he didnt want to win as the squad cant cope with the current commitments?

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Jan 2013 12:44:31
How much space we giving them in midfield again.

Believable4 Unbelievable0

05 Jan 2013 12:41:20
Isn't it amazing that we are getting outplayed by Brighton? We need many more signings if we are to stay a PL team.

Get Remy, Ince and Douglas to start with and then add a young promising playmaker to the mix.

Believable3 Unbelievable1

Don't know why everyone wants Douglas, he's awful .

05 Jan 2013 12:30:50
Toon should put 3m bid in for huddlestone.. Bargain and young

Believable3 Unbelievable2

05 Jan 2013 12:24:45
could the toon really do with a cup run considering the injuries and players away at the moment

Believable2 Unbelievable0

Arrrrrrrrrgggh - yes! we need the chance to win something. We won't get much further in Europe (oh please prove me wrong!). I'm so hacked off with "we rolled over to protect our premier league status" attitude. You Know what, I think I would rather win the FA cup and be relegated.

Agree1 Disagree1

05 Jan 2013 10:42:11
This boy, debuchy, is absolutely brilliant. His attitude is one of the best I've ever seen in a footballer. "We need to climb back up the table, back to our true position. Our Target is champions league qualification. I've always wanted to join newcastle." That's what I'd like to hear from every newcastle player!

Believable4 Unbelievable2

True position?? what you on? last season over achieved this season struggling coz you didn't strengthen and now lost your top scorer to a wee bit massive club, you have relegation form and buying a new right back will not make a difference, goals make the difference and the fact is you are conceding more than you are scoring, COLO AND BEN ARFA TO GO NEXT!

Agree4 Disagree4

If he'd always wanted to join newcastle he could of learned some English then. The words aren't as effective through a translator I'm afraid.

Agree0 Disagree3

05 Jan 2013 10:40:06
charlie Austin is defo worth a shot but i think young adam campbell should get game time this kid is going to be world class he is 17 now how long do you need to protect proper talent

Believable2 Unbelievable1

Austin not playing today something going on ?...geordietom

05 Jan 2013 09:20:55
we all knew demba ba was going to leave in this window as well as the people in the know at st james...so why could they not go out and test the waters with remy or who ever else they have in mind to take over from Ba... they could of done it weeks before the window opened...dont tell me we cant because of rules and regulations...perfect example sturridge to liverpool they had him all done and dusted as soon as the window opened... my thoughts geordie tom

Believable4 Unbelievable1

Remy no chance, 15m at least to get him and Ashley won't spend that on one player, might get Heskey for cheap!

Agree3 Disagree1

05 Jan 2013 03:41:43
We are not going to survive if we do not replace Demba at all. Cisse and Ameobi as the only two first team strikers? What if one gets injured? Not even taking into account that Cisse's out of form (which should change soon being played up top) and Ameobi is... Ameobi. Striker is now an absolute must, as is a CB. A CM would be nice too, but that's a little optimistic. We've really got to hope until the end of January lads. Howay the lads!
