Ba is too valuable to let go, if we can tie up a deal to get him on 60k to 70k and take the clause out (which is doubtful) then we will never have this again. Ba is a loyal player and he likes it at newcastle. he deserves his 90k a week but we can't afford to pay that. 70k max, ba might be tempted but his agent wont be. Cmon Ba sign the contract so we can end this saga.

I reckon taye taiwo would be worth a punt, switch santon to right back, taiwos got a rocket of a left foot. Perhaps debuchy as well.

He being open that it's there but I'm sure ifbhe was basically offering back for sale for the reported release fee then surely he wouldn't be playing him and also they wouldn't be trying to negotiate a new deal for him {Ed002's Note - The way to renegotiate the release clause is to offer up and agree a new deal paying higher wages.}
Hasnt it been reported they've offered another 20k and he said no so surely they've attempted what you are saying ed. Now it's in ba court now and he asking for another 20 on top of what they offered.

What do you think about goin in for Royston Drenthe he's a free agent, got pace, only 25 and international experiance (altho it only 1 cap lol) he could be great cover and can play left back so could be worth a shot IMO
He'd be a great signing actually.
The lads been training and keeping fitvwith athletico Madrid so surely they have first refusal but he's a cracking player whobwould be a good signing although he's apparently after big wages and is hard to manage but did have a cracking spell either Everton.
