{Ed042's Note - Just to give people an update on few of the youngsters.. reserves won 2 - 1 tonight.. Abeid and Moyo said to be two of the stand out performers}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Inman seems a great prospect aswell scored one today and two the other day and he's a midfielder.

{Ed042's Note - Yeah hes a good player, all round game needs a bit of improvement but gets goals, Scots and Aussies tussling over getting him into international set up too, good prospect}

Newcastle interested in signing Obertan on loan from Manchester United with an option to buy. In my opinion this would be a reasonable signing for us as we are lacking a right winger, and given a first team chance, I reckon Obertan could turn into a good player, as he has skill, but hasn't been given many oportunities at Old Trafford to impress.
Heard about us apparently being interested in Rob Green.... Not really sure why to be honest as we have 3 good goalies already. However I'm not sure why we haven't been linked with Hitzsperger yet, as he impressed at West Ham and is available on a free, and would be a goodish replacement for Barton, if he actually leaves.

{Ed042's Note - Haha sorry mate nothing just yet, I would expect something to happen before the Fiorentina game, I would say Pardew is breaking his back trying, knows there is a good chance of a fan backlash at the game otherwise}

pardew begging for advice off fergie is he the illigitimate one?

Why is it that Newcastle always promise transfers year after year yet fail to live up to them yet again ashley needs to look at himself and either live up to his word or leave

Believable2 Unbelievable2

Why would fat lad leave tho he is making far too much money from us Let's face it that's all he's in it for and as long as he can get away with draining the club he will

Agree3 Disagree2

Ashley paid 140m for the heap of sh@t you call a club why would he just leave no buyers cos your ground aint yours (ha ha still cant get over that) he wants to make as much money back as he can

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah.. the ownership of the ground is the key selling point for a football club. What a muppet. -.-

Agree0 Disagree0

All assets and that includes training groung aswell as SJP are owned by mike ashley He secured the ownership of the groung when aquiring the club facts are good when they are correct but just make you look full of it when they are wrong

Agree1 Disagree0

Truth is if MA stays and NUFC stay in the premiership for another 4 years and we are run correctly and financially sound then he will make more money back than his initial outlay and he knows that As for the ground your wrong If the council owned it then how can he change the name? If you live in a council house which you probably do then you cant change the street name cos its not yours You see my point SMB?

Agree0 Disagree0

Shame you will be in our shadow for the next four years.
With yes man Pardew in the seat. Too many current players linked with moves away. Nobody seems to want to come.
Fiasco with visas and Joey Barton to boot ( oh sorry ) I am crying with laughter.

Agree0 Disagree0

Laugh all you want, but look at it this way.. At least we don't have John O'shea playing for us.

Also, in before "huurr duurrr John Oshea won the CL for man U all on his own stupud gordie lol"

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah you will have obertan, a man utd fringe player aswell, bitter that, you would have o'shea and you know it, just becasue they play for us they crap, if newcastle signed them they would be good, black and white eyes and very bitter

Who is the player wearing squad number 49 in the pics on NUFC.co.uk? its not Lua Lua as he is on Loan @ Brighton......Let me know, New Signing??

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Just checked on the newcastle players pics on nufc.co.uk he is not in the reserves or 1st team, the guy thats in the italian pic special is that the one you mean?

Agree1 Disagree0

Yes thats him who is he??????????? anybody??

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed042's Note - Haha its a current player... wholl be the first to get it...}

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm going to say moyo?

Agree0 Disagree0

Just tell us is it the 18 year old french

Agree0 Disagree0

Its denis wise

{Ed042's Note - Lmfao}

Agree0 Disagree0

Andy Mogwo?

{Ed042's Note - Nah other lad got it.. its Dennis Wise ha.. its Yven Moyo, remember the name, would put a fair bit of money on this lad being a future first teamer}

Agree0 Disagree0

I think Mogwo was released. But Moyo is a fantastic prospect.

Agree0 Disagree0

Moyo held in high asteem in the club and tipped for brighter things Looks a good one and should start to be seen this season or next People in the game are apparently noticing NUFC's youth players and are watching develoments closely as few players tipped for stardom

{Ed042's Note - Moyo was a Utd target and we robbed him two years ago, Vuckic attracted interest from Utd last year, and couple of other youngsters look like they could realistically make the step up this season if not next, youth investment is starting to pay off, which I personally would rather see than the old method of buying proven names only here for the paycheck}

ehh just me or had any 1 herd of the kind of problem tht is happening with tiote problem with his viza usually when you are signing from a team u get yer visa to last the legnth of the contract which is beginig no make me think is he going to sign for another team and that is why joey kicked off ?

{Ed042's Note - Its to do with the type of visa that he got to go to US, mistake on administration end of things, not to up on the technicalities of it all but thats the reason.. the delay is also caused by the speed in which these things get sorted in Africa, Ivory Coast Embassy is in Ghana for a start}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Yeah you're right he's signing for Chelsea he flew all the way to Ghana just too do a medical because they've got the best facilities.

Just looking at Haris Vuckic and he has a brother named Alen who plays for Olimppija a slovenian teamand he's a left-back.He has made 11apps for the first team and is capped at under -21 and has made 3apps 1goal.He's 21 so that good and Haris could tell him to come to Newcastle.

Believable2 Unbelievable2

Yeh, and Alan Shearer has a son, but that doesn't mean he'll be even half as good as his dad.

Agree3 Disagree1

Maybe we should sign Callum Best aswell.

Everyones saying that barnetta is injured and will not come. remember gosling he was injured and he still signed for us. marveaux he was injured signed for us.

Believable1 Unbelievable2

Did marveaux sign as no ones seen him since and im almost certain gosling is permanently injured but then again they will all pass a medical at sjp lol

Agree1 Disagree2

Fair enough but you have to actually spend money to sign him and can't see agent mike doing that anytime soon

Agree2 Disagree0

Marveaux and Gosling have both been playing preseason you daft SMB.

Agree5 Disagree2

I was on about Barnetta you SGB, takes time to register I see, try reading things more slowly before you make comments

Agree1 Disagree1

I wasn't talking to you, dumb s**t. If you read all the responses you might know that.

Heres a hint though: Its the post above yours. See if you catch on.

Agree0 Disagree0

I can't as I was taught in a school from newcastle and I have been blinded by that black n white sh*te.haha

Agree0 Disagree1

Nice comeback, didn't address my point at all which shows that you know you were in the wrong. Too bad chuckles.

Agree2 Disagree0

You siad did marveuc sign then said you were on about barnetta How do you get that out of what you said? Bit dyslexic aint it?

There have been some rumours flying about the page about us bidding for Keirrison and if they are true I think would be a good signing.

For those of you that don't jnow much about him, he was a prolific goalscorer in the Brazilian league for both Coritiba and Palmeiras. He scored 89 goals in 185 games.

Barcelona then signed him for 14m Euros and straight away loaned him out to Benfica in 2009. The problem with this was Benfica already had the likes of Oscar Cardozo, Javier Saviola and Angel Di Maria in attacking roles.

Keirrison then returned to Barcelona and was immediately loaned out to Fiorentina where the same lack of appearances occured and had no real chance make his mark on the European game.

I think based on our current squad and at a price of 3m Euros, if the rumours are tru it would be a good buy. He is still only 22 and you don't get signed by Barcelona for big money for no reason.

Put it this way, he would'nt be another Xisco.

I really don't get why everyone is stressing about the upcoming season.
We have signed a few decent players, and have off loaded a few that were not good enough. Nolan could have stayed but wanted more cash, so he left.
To put everyones complaints into context, lets look at other clubs.

Spurs, Not signed anyone of note
Villa, Sold best players, brought in a couple of players (not stronger than last year).
Bolton, Not signed anyone of note
Stoke, Signed a couple of players, but nothing of note
Fulham, not signed anyone of note

Then there is Liverpool. Anyone who thinks that the players they have bought are worth a combined fee of 100million is off their head.
Sunderland, brought in a lot of players, but can you honestly say that they would displace anyone from our side?

I think we have done ok so far. Lets wait and see who else comes in.

Believable6 Unbelievable6

Did you not here about Fulham signing messi?

Agree1 Disagree0

Wickham and dong won better than any you got osgea better than taylor brown better than simpson just a few for you to ponder

Agree2 Disagree2

O'Shea is not better than Taylor.. And Wes Brown is a crock. As for Wickham and Dong-Suck-Wong being better than our strikers, even Shola scored goals in the Championship, and could do so in te K-League. Best is also better than the pair of them, and Ba. f*** even Lovenkrands outscored Wickham down there. So.. yeah...

Agree1 Disagree2

Wickham and dong won are unproven in the premiership but have both looked good in pre season and also on Wickhams behalf, he is only 18, he made his debut at 16. Lovenkrands and Ameobi are alot older and more experienced, you can't say they crap without seeing them play a few games. Best, Ameobi and Lovenkrands are decent championship strikers but not premiership standard. Bitter geordie not thinking before speaking again

Agree2 Disagree1

Yeah... Best played 10 games last season and scored 6 goals. Pretty good record if you ask me.

And I can make these comments without seeing Wickham play at this level. Why? Simply because you are claiming him and Dong are better than our strikers without seeing them play at this level. Your move there.

Agree1 Disagree0

Never said that, just said they unproven, have looked good in pre season and you shouldn't make judgements on them until they play a few premiership games. chill out likeSGB

Agree0 Disagree0

"Wickham and dong won better than any you got"

If that wasn't you then fair enough. If it was, then you need to try and remember what you've posted before you make yourself look even more stupid. Either way your an SMB.

Agree1 Disagree0

You did say that you said whickham and dong are better than any you got

how many people think that the presence of barton in the dressing room is having an effect on the players. rumour going around that he had big bust up with enrique who decided it was time to get away. he is trying to dictate who plays and tries to pick the team. heard liverpool had this problem with ince a few year ago before houllier came in and we can all remember the world cup when shearer said he didn't want to play up front with phillips. i think some players think they bigger than the club and with his attitude cant see barton moving on pardew needs to be stronger with him as on his day he is a very good footballer but no one wants one who rocks the boat. what do you think on barton ed

{Ed042's Note - During CH tenure, especially in the Championship, Barton and Nolan were said to have more say and control in the club than your average player does.. was needed at the time and suited CH as he is generally very passive, more of a tactician than man manager.. good in short term, but turns sour in long term, especially if that control is taken away.. when it was under Pardew, egos of Kev and Joey had been built up, and didnt like it.. a lot of bitterness on both players parts, and bad scenario to have considering Joey is still there, but Pardew has seemed to manage the last weeks lunacy well, up to Joey to fall into line now, otherwise good luck, be on your way pretty much.. As far as the Enrique bust up with Joey, hear say really, nothing to suggest that theres anything to it, and if true was a one of row between players, happens all the time}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Allerdyce made the club that way and gave the players power and now its back firing and AP paying for it Needs to kick some ass and show who is boss to shut em up and get them playing again Barton obviously worked himself on sunday so its all down to him really Itll come good

Agree0 Disagree0

Pardew comes over, that he doesnt have the balls to bring them all back into line. If it was Allerdyces fault it is taking a long time to put our house in order.

all quiet on the western front i see ...ED you heard out on the grapvine m8 ..geordie tom

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed042's Note - Has been strangely quiet this morning lad.. apart from a few "pick a name out of a hat" journos theres very little to go off.. reply to a post a few down from this will update you on what I know so far this morning.. seen your Kerrison post on rumours page, Caught Offside generally very unreliable as a source but as I said to other poster on main page, will do a bit of digging around and update it on that post a bit later}

Agree0 Disagree0

Cheers m8 come back with some good news pmsl

Agree0 Disagree0

Do ye want to borrow my spade ed i put on these rumour pages 1st about earnshaw to cardiff and malbranque to st etienne got info before thou about c. cole to newcastle and got it wrong but wont be surprised if this doesn't happen before deadline day as his wages stumbling block
one gary rowell

{Ed042's Note - Only way it will ever happen is if he comes in along with another striker, wages wouldnt be an issue with Cole either as his choices are either leave or take a near 50% pay cut to stay at West Ham}

Agree1 Disagree0

May aswell buy all west hams "championship" strikers then you will give yourself a better chance of relegation

Agree2 Disagree0

Just like Birminghams relegation boys Larsson and Gardener or Blackpools relegated midfielder Vaughan what yous have signed such a ridiculous post do people not think before posting.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah but those guys are "proven premiership players".. As in, proven at relegation.

See that is Mackem hypocrisy. Gardner, Vaughan and Larsson are good players proven in the premiership, despite them getting relegated.

Ba on the other hand, is apparently a "Championship striker" because he got relegated with a team who were in the bottom 3 a long time before he joined and scored 7 in 12.

In short, Mackems are a bit thick.

Agree2 Disagree0

stop griping so far the only player of note than has left since the end of season is Nolan put that along side the new signings and youngsters like Vukic coming through and we are not as bad as people moan about

Believable2 Unbelievable2

Doesn't matter they haven't been tested at premiership level, you look at sunderland we brought henderson through and now Colback, fair enough henderson was average in my eyes but you have to bring your youth through more

was told by nolan in may that everyone wanted out, few weeks later he has gone, something wrong in the dressing room as evident with all the bickering on the bench at leeds. If i was barton i would be pissed at shola being made captain. we had a good opportunity to move onwards after last season. we will of had £37 plus from transfer fees plus the saying on wages from players sold. so where is the shirt money 3 new stripes, tv money, season ticket money coming in every month, plus all clubs set a side a transfer budget for their managers regardless of what has come in surely we should have £50 million plus, i not saying to go and waste it on over rated players, but we have spent nothing, and i dont think we have tried to spend anything. Ashley you have f***ed us over again now go
im suprised no one has put a mafia hit on him, the guy has us over a barrel

Believable4 Unbelievable0

Finally paying the price for the stupid wages you were giving to players, £130,000 a week for michael owen, wonder what some of your other players are on

Agree4 Disagree0

05 Aug 2011 08:38:01
FC Twente (Tiote's old club) have got another highly rated player available on the cheap.

He is a right back and has been scouted by top teams like Real Madrid and Bayern. His name is Roberto Rosales.

1st Venezualen player to score in the Champions League and available for 3.5m. Only 21/22 so young and potential to get better.

I know this position ain't exactly a must for us but Danny Simpson ain't brilliant and when a good investment comes along (like Tiote) you should take it.

Still hearing a lot on hear about us not getting anyone else even if we lose Joey and Jose. I rreally doubt that we won't strengthen before Arsenal.

If we don't though I can see the game going like last season. (just the 1st half)

8 days to start of new season..less than month for transfer deadline.. no striker, no back up for left back, and most importantly WHERE IS TIOTE..?....ED, any clue what's going on with TIOTE or any new signing imminent..?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed042's Note - Tiote visa delay, wont get back in time for Fiorentina friendly, as far as signings, strong link with Obertan on loan, Barnetta was in talks but injury setback may halt that one, still negotiating over Shane Long fee, Jerome also a possibility due to Birminghams financial problems, still after Danny Sturridge on loan but could go to Bolton, and player from LFC could be coming as part of swap deal with Jose, LFC unwilling to meet the fee being asked}

Rejected by Dafoe, Erdinc, Barnetta and anyone else we have approached. Are we now the Premiership lepers?

Believable1 Unbelievable2

No bid for Defoe, No bid for Erdinc, Barnetta is apparently keen on a move, his 'agent' who was spouting off yesterday does not even represent the player. Just some gob trying to get some publicity.
Don't believe everything you read in the rags.
Col

There was no bid for Erdinc?
