For the hand ball, Chris 'no gary speed' Coleman said he did it on purpose but if you actualy watch it, he stood on sissokos foot, he ducked, so in effect, it hit him from like 4 yards. Natural reaction to throw something at the ball when its that close to your own goal.

Believable1 Unbelievable2

Sounds like you're trying to justify him! He's always doing it man - weak player - time for the door!

Agree1 Disagree3

I thought it was quite funny how Taylor pretended to be in agony from taking a knock to the groin, it was a good try at masking where he got hit with the ball.

Agree1 Disagree0

What a load of tripe, Taylor is a cheat and you know he is. Sniping at Chris Coleman is pathetic, grow up you plonker.

Agree1 Disagree4

If that last comment was from a Geordie then we exile him immediately.

whats with all the moans Benfica top club (as everyone was saying) so let's look at what happened. Benfica played well got a bit of luck scored 3. Tonn played well didn't get any luck scored 1. let's accept its all part of football and look forward to the 2nd leg Des Toon

Believable5 Unbelievable3

Rubbish comment just like the rubbish football we have been playing for most of the season As long as plonkers accept AP's excuses we will be negative and struggle. We are miles off the top teams. OR are you blind?

Agree7 Disagree6

Couldnt agree more with the 2nd comment! well said!

Taylor is a disgrace! How many times is he going to handle the ball and feign injury - the guy is a joke! And imagine if he got penalised for all those 'off the ball' attempts - we'd be conceding penalties every game - time for him to go! Bazza.

Believable4 Unbelievable8

Love him but so xxucking clumsy! Daft as a box of frogs

Agree5 Disagree0

He loves our club like no other player we have, how many can say that for themselves?

Agree3 Disagree0

Sunderland bunch are out I see.

This season all we've done is hoofed the ball up the pitch and hoped somone would get there head on it, eventhough we have not got 1 good headerer of the ball at the club. That is why if we are going to continue that tactic, we need Carroll back home

Believable3 Unbelievable2

Agreed he brought Ameobi on just to play hoofball.

Benfica had a very high defensive line with two slow CBs, one of the CBs is about six foot five.

The last thing we needed was Ameobi to come on, the way Benfica set up defensively was perfect for Campbell to be brought on.

Agree3 Disagree0

Ameobi got near the ball 6 times and gave away 5 free kicks, hope this is his last season, and don't go on about loyalty he is a millionaire

Agree5 Disagree1

Ameobi is master of wasting time.

He could absorb 20 minutes out of a game on his own, by clowning around and getting into arguments.

What happened to that guy lol, I remember him being a skinny and unorthodox player, now he is like Lennox Lewis.

It's imperitive that we beat fulham on Sunday, we need nothing less than a win. We need at least 6 points in our next 3 games. If we play like we did in the first 20mins against benfica then hopefully we'll beat fulham 1-0 and beat 5under1and 3-0. Then we should be safe with one more win. As long as pardew sets the team up right in our remaining games, then we should be fine. But i'd really like to see cabaye back in the CAM role, and sissoko pushed back a bit so he can drive through the midfield. Sissoko and tiote holding the midfield is mouth watering. Our defence is still leaky at the moment, but people say our form has been poor, but actually we've won every single home game with our new signings. We just need to carry on that home form and improve away performances.
Team for fulham:
4231
GK Krul
RB Anita
CB Taylor
CB Mbiwa
LB Santon
RDM Sissoko
LDM Tiote
RW Jonas
CAM Cabaye
LW Gouffran
ST Cisse

Geordie Moses-Stay positive-negativity is the last thing we need.

Believable7 Unbelievable2

Defence still leaky at the moment, only Villa and Reading have conceeded more for goodness sake, great post Geordie boy.

So that's another drubbing coming up. When the embarresment of Di Canio's team kicking us off the park perhaps hard liners will at last wake up. Damage was done by Ashley from last August

Agree1 Disagree5

How do you know though? Di Canio has never managed in the prem, sunderland will be torn apart by chelsea and if we carry on our home form we will tear them apart as well. f**k off with the negativity.

Krul
Simmo mbiwa tayls haidara

Debuchy cabaye tiote santon

Sissoko
Cisse

Plenty of pace and defensive cover so shoulnt need to sit back as much to protect a lead!sissoko closer to cisse so he ain't isolated for most of the game!santon can't defend but isn't shy of having a shot also debuchy can't be any worse going forward than oba or guti and marveux disappears for long periods!

Believable0 Unbelievable3

What's your thoughts on the teams to go down?.

A week ago I thought sunderland, reading, qpr.

Now I think newcastle, reading, qpr.

Paulo will keep sunderland up. Wigan will pull off the great escape, villa have the form and firepower to get out of it.

Newcastle have some quality players but they are struggling to get wins and if they fail to beat fulham are buggered.

Newcastle also have the distraction of Europe, a rubbish manager, hard run in, quality players under performing. If you only draw at best with fulham and sunderland your down.

I would prefer the three down to be villa, reading, qpr.

Believable2 Unbelievable8

By the way forgot to mention I am a sunderland fan. That's not why I say newcastle either because a week ago we were certs I admit that and I want villa down. I just fear for newcastle if they fail to beat fulham. We will get beat off Chelsea I ain't expecting anything in that game but we will win others.

Agree2 Disagree7

No you got it right the first time, sunderland, qpr, reading. Its like you think you're going to win the premier league next season under Di canio! He's never managed in the prem. You are currently 16th with wigan and aston villa coming into late form who could finish above you. And especially if we pick up our form, because you'll lose against chelsea and maybe newcastle so then you might get relegated. And this might happen to Newcastle as well, but I can't see it with the amount of quality players we have. Nothing gives you the right to think you'll do well under Di canio in his first two seasons!

Agree0 Disagree1

Tell you what after villa beating stoke today stoke are in big trouble with a tricky run in.

Agree1 Disagree0

Ad love to see stoke go down, got away with long baw crap for to long
