the Costa Concordia Toon is floundering somewhere off the Newcastle coast under its absentee commander Senor Joke and its expected to sink to the championship and its fans will endure a painful dearth of goals and creativity

Anyone know if there are going to be protests and boycott soon? Really can't stand Ashley for another year.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

It's to late JTOON. Should have been done before the window shut.

Agree0 Disagree0

2nd post how is it too late?

Agree0 Disagree0

2nd post your wrong, 3rd post your right how is it too late?.

Agree0 Disagree0

How is it to late? If you do it now nothing will change. It will only effect the team/squad. Ashley has the money in his pocket. Do you think he cares what we shout from the stands. It hasn't bothered him up to now. Let me ask you something. Fans have been saying for weeks we should do this as we the negative ones knew what was happening. So why wait until the window is shut to protest/boycott?

Agree0 Disagree0

2nd post is right. My last game was liverpool at home never been back since nor will I under this regime. Rather than just say someone is wrong explain why you think that.

Agree0 Disagree0

Need to forget about the transfer window now and just try to get Ashley out and someone in ready for the January window. Someone with some ambition to move the club forward and start challenging for Europe again.

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree with 7th post, we need someone who can make us great again.

Agree0 Disagree0

As an outsider ( Liverpool Fan )

The way I see it, you've got the fanbase, you've got the Stadium

I might be stating the bleeding obvious but what you need now
is another Sir John Hall, he may
the club life president but that
means nothing, anyway good luck
lads for the season

Pardew states players in our price range not as good as what we have. Really. We could not afford somebody better than Obertan, Jonas, Williamson. I am also certain we could have found a Striker better than Shola to at least give some cover.

All crap, all lies.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Pardew saild our targets were not as good as the players we already have so. Why were they targets

Agree0 Disagree0

Second post: no, he didn't.

Agree0 Disagree0

I hear that there are a few players that don't have clubs and are still available to bring in.

Carlton Cole would be better than Shola and at least is decent in the air. Worth a punt on a free.

Agree0 Disagree0

He did .

Agree0 Disagree0

"However, some of the options available within our financial means were not as good as the players we already had. "

No he didn't.

Pardew said to judge him after the Fulham game, so I will get the ball rolling.

Pardew, you don't know your best formation or who his best 11

Pardew, you have set your teams up negatively and only change it with 20mins to go

Pardew, you have not addressed the issues from last season i. e. set pieces

Pardew, you team so far has played with a slow tempo

Pardew, your coaches are not developing players

Pardew, Your assessment of games is concerning

Anyone else want to judge him.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Agreed jimmy, we need a real tactician like Guus Hiddink or Marcelo Bielsa

Agree0 Disagree0

JToon: Pardew out-thought Hiddinck and high-spending Anzhi home and away, but this is a pointless exercise. If Pardew goes, Ashley and Joking Ear will choose, not us. IMO Pardew's about as good as we'll get, heaven help us. Whoever comes in will have his hands tied just the same, and will be required to spout the same PR nonsense. And if Pardew's heard anything secret about a take-over he'll hang on for his pay-off no matter what humiliation Kinnear heaps on him. Whatever happened to all that fine talk of 'stability'? Vic

Agree0 Disagree0

Wrong, There was no way that pardew out thought hiddink, 1st game at anzhi, they had the better chances and possession, 2nd game, they less possession but did more with the ball and played some fantastic football hit the post and had a shot blocked off the line by taylor? What they did with the ball with just 3 or 4 men attacking against 6 or 7 defenders was amazing, they created space together, created chances, a lot of work rate and movement. We didn't really deserve to beat them.

Agree0 Disagree0

We'll have to agree to disagree over the Anzhi games, JT, I saw a patched up NUFC play a masterly defensive away leg against Eto'o, etc, and that Anzhi failed to score in either game, you saw an unlucky attacking display - but hey, we all have our blinkers on from time to time. But we both know that Ashley isn't going to sack Pardew and appoint Hiddinck. It'll be somebody just as desperate for a job as AP. Vic.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes I know but we need a new owner first who can make this club great again, THEN decide on the manager

Agree0 Disagree0

Spot on, JT. Vic

I am surprised why no one has questioned why the statement from the club about the transfer window came from Pardew? Its not his job? its JFK's job. Why should Pardew be sending out statements about transfers when its not his job! JFK - you got no balls mate, clean your own mess up!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Mate don't be fooled, JFK is only here to take the blame away from CASHLEY, they had no intention to buy any players MAOC

Ashley is owed about 130million from Newcastle, perhaps the TV money will go towards it as well as our premier league finish this season then maybe he might bugger off to rangers

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Perhaps the money will go there but you won't see the debt to him (sale value of the club) reduce. It never does.
Any suggestions why?

There's a page called the Ashley out campaign, like it and there's also a petition to sign on their to help get the message across that Ashley needs to leave

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Coronation street won't be the same without him.

The thing about NUFC and boycotts is that at SAFC when its bad, we stop going and then something happens - usually. Yes, you've got more fans and yes, they probably are more loyal and yes, you are a bigger Club but its your loyalty that's your downfall which is admirable and perverse. Stay loyal my Geordie cousins. Bing

Believable0 Unbelievable0

As much as I totally agree with you it's very hard to think a Sunderland fan would admit that much.

Agree0 Disagree0

Because there is nothing to admit, both of our clubs are basic and will never be competing at the top.

Agree0 Disagree0

Im a realist and you cannot argue with the attendance figures. I am a Makum and live North of the Tyne. I dislike NUFC because you are our rivals but I stand by the comments I've made. You lot take it much more seriously than us and think you have some kind of divine right to success because lots of you turn up every week - you don't have any divine right to anything which is why the majority of SAFC fans enjoy your misery as much as us winning. occasionally. Bing

Agree0 Disagree0

I remember Boro beating Man Citeh 8-0 not too long ago. Who would of thought they would win the league in a matter of years? All it would take is a billionaire with balls and ambition so its silly to say NEVER

all the national daily papers agree we had the worst window and Kinnear should go. He does not have the necessary skills if any except the ear of the owner at the orange tree Totteridge in norf london

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Kinnear and Ashley should both go

Agree0 Disagree0

Kinnear, Ashley, Pardew and the coaches should ALL go.
They 're all either liars or incompetents. or both.

Agree0 Disagree0

It didn't need national papers to say it. we didn't do a thing full stop

Ok, just wanting to gauge what peoples general feeling is with regards to pardew staying as manager or bringing in someone new. I would say its probably 70% to 30% in favour of him going but I could be very wrong.

I suppose the other side of that is if he did go who would want or even be willing to step in. Poyet maybe. but would he really have us playing any better. and would Ashley remove JFK if a new manager came in safe in the knowledge that he achieved his goal by appointing him. However I feel they prob feel a DOF is the way the want to go so maybe if it was Poyet we would see a return of Wise or someone different but still have a DOF. just opinions and thoughts but i'm bored at work so thought i'd just see what people were thinking

I did however just want to say this. I will be supporting the team. I will not be joining in with chants of sacking the chairman etc (pointless). we have what we have on the pitch. I don't like it, I wanted more but tough. I still want the club to do well. not for Ashley but for the fans and maybe just maybe we still can and surprise a few people. we have been written off before and came out fighting. no reason we can't again. let's make the bet of a bad thing.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

No, I want Ashley and kinnear out first before we decide on the manager. Whoever we want to be manager, ashley just won't agree, and it won't make a difference.

Agree0 Disagree0

But i'd rather have Guus Hiddink as manager, a real tactician, attacking manager who plays attractive football.

Agree0 Disagree0

A good manager would get better results with the squad we have, that in turn would pay for better players.

Agree0 Disagree0

I totally agree myself JTOON. I personally don't see the point in changing manager but I get the feeling it is probably on the cards sooner rather than later. I would say stick with pardew while the current fools are in charge but then as of yet there is no guarantee they are going anywhere anytime soon and i'm not sure I could cope with several more seasons of pardew in charge. the downside is if it is that they want pardew out the likely hood of the next manager being anyone that we would actually like is slim. Is it a case of people wanting to keep pardew because they think he can do the job or is it as you say more a case of no point in bringing in a different manager while Ashley is in charge. I would imagine much like yourself that there wouldn't be a single fan that would be happy to have pardew in charge if Ashley sold up.

niktoon.

Agree0 Disagree0

Guss hiddink lol he would never become newcastle manager your club is far to small for him, more like lee Clarke or maybe yous could hijack mick macarthy, I personally think yous have a decent team. Second half against fulham was a good performance so stop moaning because yous havnt signed tevez and rooney.

Agree0 Disagree0

Who has asked Tevez and Rooney.

Agree0 Disagree0

SMB, We would be big enough for Hiddink, and you know what? we are the sleeping giants of england, face it. And we will only be awakened when ashley leaves us

Agree0 Disagree0

Unfortunately, the FFP rules have consolidated the position of the top 6 clubs (by design). I'm nearly 40 and I won't see anyone outside the top 6 win the league in my lifetime. Money talks b. s. walks!

Ashley has played this transfer window like a poker player. He had no intention of signing anyone. No doubt he was aware of the unrest and anger of the fans with the lack of transfer activity but used the 2 homes games to judge the outcry. 49,000 and 47,000 turned up near on sell outs. I am sure he sat there and thought I can live with this along with the 100 million burning a hole in his pocket. We talk about boycott and the such like. What will that change now. The window is shut and fatty is beaming. Horse has bolted springs to mind. We only have ourselves to blame.
