There are plenty of teams who have not started to do any business yet. this doesn't mean they are not negotiating etc. Every name we have heard is pure speculation, the only people who know for real what is happening are the inner circle at the club. We ALL need to stop whingeing and wait for things to happen. It was quiet in January until the signings were had actually put pen to paper. a lesson learnt after the Remy debarcle.

Teams around us are doing business that's the problem. Norwich have signed 3 very good players. Would have had Redmond. Southampton are doing the same as are others. We bought in January as we had no choice to starve off relegation. Them players were not suppose to come until the Summer because of our lack of signings that previous Summer Ashley had to strengthen the squad. can't afford to do that again.

sorry but I can't wait to see Ashley and co fall flat on there faces. I've supported the toon for as long as I can remember. we where promised the first signing by Friday. and they where right he's 16 years old. now that's taking the pi*s. pardew get a spine and sort it out.

Bent was a cast off was he? Give your deluded head a shake. He left for a bigger club. Further more we don't want him. If your young guns were that good they would not be going to Sunderland or their club would not let them go.

Anyone worried about the transfer activity from up the road and none from us?

Not one tiny bit.

Sunderland are signing players that would not get anywhere near our team.

I don't know why people are getting so upset, our squad is not the problem.

The coaching, management and clowning around in the hierarchy are the problems.

Apart from signing maybe an extra striker as cover for Cisse if he gets injured, I am very confident in our team. (If coached correctly)

How many players do we need for goodness sake until you turn around and ask why a bunch of top quality players are not performing.

They sign for us in electric form, and then after 4 weeks training they look worn out and mystified by our tactics.

Apart from Marveaux and maybe Colo, we are ruining our players, and it isn't the players fault.

Pardew is on very thin ice, but I hope it works out as I like him.

Totally agree with second post, we only need max 3 decent players. 2 strikers (Maybe 1 who can play on the wing) and a centre back. Remy, Bent and Sakho would do for us.

U need 6 decent players uve only got 4 now. stop talking crap.

Yes we need a striker but if we get 2 that means Campbell doesn't stand a chance of stepping up. Creativity is the issue with our team. They all work their socks off but only a few have the creativity and quality that we need.
Left winger is a must, it's the weakest area of our team. 1 striker to go with Cisse, Gouffran, Campbell and Ameobi (younger one that is). I think our midfield is still a problem, needs more good passers (eg. Verratti). We are ok at CB with Colo, Taylor and Mbiwa. Although a feel Mbiwa would do better at RG than Debuchy. Perhaps bring in a young CB to try and bring through.

Anyone apart from me seeing klone off to Everton, what next a player from Hartlepool or Darlington.

They may not be signing world beaters but they're doing good business improving on the players they're getting rid of and improving the squad from last season, as the transfer window goes on I think they'll start to move for better players.

Whereas I don't understand what we're doing read that Kinnear is already taking a holiday which is ridiculous.

No they are not.

They are filling up their wage role with unproven players, they will be lucky if one of their signings turns out to be any good.

They are weaker between the sticks and lost Rose, those 2 players were the difference between survival and relegation for Sunderland last season.

They have lost quality and went out and got a load of freebies that no one else wanted.

Why do you think Sunderland are not facing any competition from other clubs for the players they are going after?

We will see come the new season, we don't expect all of them to be good they are to fill the squad up, how are we weaker between the Sticks, westwood is class, only migs excellent form kept him out, mannone will be good back up, as well, tell me all the players, French, that you lot got were all class players NOT, let's see where your poor squad will take you's next season you will be lucky not to be in the bottom 3 by xmas.

We are certainly not facing competition from yourselves. Your management team are just starting the race. Our management have players past the post. Our management gave up their holidays as they knew that the old squad wasnt good enough and are doing their best to put it right. Your manager is still on holiday. Heads in sand, boys.

CABAYE looks like psg bound with blanc watching him, also possibly debuchy,, only think I can think of is a couple of their team reserves coming other way plus cash, or they may loan some of their players, something happening I think, Bent is a no no attitude problems etc or others teams would of kept him, but sickening watching other teams strengthen while we stay till

If fans are not used to the apathy surrounding Ashley then they soon will be in 6 weeks

Fiorentina has supposedly big 10 million for Mario Gomez with Munich holding out for closer to 15.

I believe we showed interest in him in the past.

27 years old but he is a top international footballer and exactly what we need.

I reckon that kind of money for Gomez is a snip.

If PSG are serious about Cabaye I am wondering if the club could be working on Gameiro coming the other way?

We were interested in him in the past, he will not get many more games next season either, as it looks like they will add another striker.

15 mil plus Gameiro?

If I had my way we would buy Maher with that change.

some of us are so disillusional we were never going to sign pea always going to go to cl playing club cabaye may go bent will define in let's face it we finished 16 last season so were only going to attract basement players let's get real we always blame others above when really it's our players who should be ashamed never mind injuries theirs a saying in football let your feet do the talking that did not happen with any of our players last season

No we are not delusional just more angry that a target we were tracking and watching for over a year passed by without us even trying to get him. PEA himself said he would be interested and the PL was where he wanted to play. The reason we don't get these players is our great leader thinks he can get top players at basement prices add to the fact that he doesn't care as long as we stay in the PL. A gamble he is going to take this season.
