To all the mackems posted on here about a great win 4-1 against Wigan, try 3-0 against man u

3-0 against a shocking man u whereas we had a 48hr break and smashed an in-form wigan away after beating the truly in form league leaders. Ah not to mention we have Martin o'neill ;)

Tiote was no way a 'best' player, Cabaye played carrick and giggs off the field by himself, Colo was far to smart for Rooney (not all that hard) but pards has great tactical awareness.

I will eat crow, i was on here bashing the tactics... but route one seemed to work pretty well ;) on top of that back line was just great, but our midfield was a class above, just magnificent... sad to see Tiote and Ba gone for a month :(

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! just saw the starting 11, no Ben Arfa.....WTF!!! i am sick of this crap.... oh wait i know the plan... wait until the 70 minute when we've been banging our heads agains the door and are effectively out of the game and then bring him on... brilliant. You're the type of numb skull who gives us toon fans a bad name, bet you were calling for him to come on against liverpool too, 'pick your battles' 'horses for courses' 2 phrases that come to mind in the premier league, remember we are not a spurs or city who can accomodate a van der vaart or a silva/nasri! ben arfa is a brilliant player but sometimes the potential for that little bit of magic can be a detriment to the team!

Easy to slag someone else's comments after a victory, try doing it before a match..

I cant imagine Branson wanting to be associated with a downward spiralling club so I am holding out hope for some quality reinforcements this month.
As we were so close to signing Pieters in the summer will that deal not be back on? What about Cissokho who we were linked with as well?

Pieters is crocked ,broken foot ,don't want us buying another player who's had bad injury.

I am not sure why AP continues to subscribe to a overly direct form of football? I am sure we have the players to play (and prefer, as per Ben Arfa interview) a more fluid passing game. Cabaye, Benny, Jonas and even Ba who can pay with the ball in his feet (he's no Any Carroll), would be better suited to playing the ball on the ground,no? I understand it worked with Best and Ba in the side as there was no link up player, but news flash AP we have one so play him! which brings me to Ben Afra's comments, I normally don't like when players speak out on matters that are better kept in the dressing room, however I 100% agree with what he has said. Our only win recently has come on the back of an Ben Arfa goal, and our number 10 is a better option than most guys getting a start. But AP plays a 19 year old that looked lost at Liverpool ahead of him, i'd be frustrated too. Its one thing to leave the side unchanged when we were winning week in and week out, but I can't get my head around why Ben continues to be over looked? I can only assume AP doesn't rate him or know how to use him? Please let the kid play and show what (if) he can do!!

HBA needs to play its as simple as that, but I reckon he will play Shola with Ba to try and exploit a weak centre half pairing like he did at QPR with such fantastic success!! Football logic tell syou we need to keep the ball better and have someone who can pick a pass, HBA and Ba were starting to play well together creating good chances against Utd and City and then he goes and changes it all, I dont understand AP sometimes.

I have been a supporter of AP's from the start and still am.... however if he continues to ignore Ben Arfa and continues to play 19 and 20 year olds ahead of him, my opinion will begin to turn. I Agree there are some good looking players coming up, but we need class now not just glimpses of the future.... and quick question where is Gosling, has he been put out in the cold?

What is he going to do when Ba leaves?? just play Sammy and Best, that will strike fear into CBs all over the league. Get the guy in the side already!!

I assume Gosling is learning that if you get yorur chance and then screw it up as badly as he did you have to wait your turn for another go. Any news on Guthrie's injury, will he be back to take over from Tiote or will Abeid get his turn or maybe the return of Smith to the central midfield area,perhaps his masterplan is to bring back Alan Smith as a striker? ......that should inject some pace and guile into the team!!
