Would love to see Laudrup as our manager, he always talks with intelligence and has a philosophy on the game that would excite the fans.
Forget the season they have had to date we know through experience how hard it is to juggle europa league, make no mistake if we don't act fast to at least sound the guy out then someone else will, top coach and great opportunity for Ashley to right some wrongs.

Totally agree mate. He will bring a style of football that Geordies simply adore. We cannot let this luxury opportunity pass by. Here's a little plan that I think can work for all parties including Ashley.

We know that when required, Ashley WILL spend the money, as January 2013 proved. But I think the reason why we haven't bought any players was because of JFK, he simply did not have the business mind to buy players, we could have got much more money for Cabaye if we still had Llambias like. But anyway, here's what I think we should do IF Ashley doesn't sell in the summer.

1. Sack pardew
2. Appoint Michael Laudrup
3. Appoint Graham Carr as director of football
4. Appoint Nicola Cortese as executive chairman
5. Sack carver, stone, charnley
6. Let Laudrup appoint his own assistant manager (probably morten Weighorst) and coaching staff.

The reason why I think this could work WITH Ashley:
Graham Carr and Laudrup and their scouts will be excellent, they will be able to scout cheap gems like they have done with Cabaye and Michu etc. Ashley always likes bargains. Carr has a greater role, therefor we will be able to get more gems without kinnear having to interfere.
Ashley probably will spend 20mil max, I reckon with cortese, Carr, Laudrup and their scouts in charge, they will be very much able to buy quality within that budget.

It's just whether Ashley will actually do this, which is highly unlikely

Agree0 Disagree0

Sounds all well and god JToon but would Cashley treat Laudrup the same he has treat Pardew. What we must not forget Cashley only ambition for us is to stay in the top 10 and use SJP as a giant advertising board for sports direct. Why would Laudrup work under those conditions.

Agree0 Disagree0

HOW can you blame JFK for not buying players, who owns he purse strings do you not think ashley told him he he didn't want to spend, carefull what you wish for he might bring him back as manager, you allpaise pardew when h was getting manager of the month awards, fickle comes to mind

Agree0 Disagree0

Gip Agree its amazing is it not

Agree0 Disagree0

Gip how can you come on here and banging on about fickle. Think back to your recent management and then decide who is fickle. Bruce best thing since slice bread was going to get you into Europe. Didn't happen and you lot called for his head. Next it was O Neil, new messiash, same result. Di Canio and so on. Your the most fickle fans in the game. Only fill your ground for a concert.

Agree0 Disagree0

Fnuklnuk, I can me on here and say what I want, it's a BANTER site, agree with you about Bruce but I actually thought he done ok for us, martin oneil would have took us down, his wife was bad so she took preference over the club, dicanio was mistake but kept us up, you are safe just accept you have been beaten again by the better team 3 times in a row all the crap we have had to put up with from your lot we are entitled to have our say,

Agree0 Disagree0

At what point did I say it was not a banter site or mention the derby defeat? Also you are entitled to have your say but to call a set of fans fickle when you lot are the worst for it is laughable. Pot, kettle springs to mind. You are very excitable Gip. Remind how big is the gap?

Agree0 Disagree0

Haha, ownage fnuklnuk ;)

Agree0 Disagree0

The gap is getting smaller, points wise, team wise we are better P0y3t has us playing great posssion football
ownage ya having a laugh JT you don't even attend games

Agree0 Disagree0

So after your derby win you are the better team Gip? On the day you were but over the season that is something different. That is like us saying we are better than Chelsea because we beat them and then them winning the league. Whilst I like Poyet, you lot said the same thing when PDC was in charge of the derby. Be careful banging those drums again.

Agree0 Disagree0

Mainly because I live right down in the South and it would cost a load of money to fly up there and right now I don't really want to attend games with the current situation.

Nice one

Agree0 Disagree0

On current form the gap between us will close very quickly.
Sunderland performance over the last 6 games= 6th.
Newcastle performance over the last 6 games= 17th.
Sunderland looking good.
Newcastle looking at life without Cabaye.

joke in here did the job he was brought in for he humiliated cabaye and other players calling him kebab etc, ashley knew his appointment would upset fans, which it did. main job was to get top dollar for cabaye and not spend owt.
job done probably on big bonus for doing so, another 20m which ashley won't spend.
next live game on tv nufc fans stay in the pub. STAY AWAY FFS. we've tried being loyal and getting crapped on from a great height. it won't hurt the team as we are all but safe.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Post a pic of your destroyed season ticket fella. its ok saying stay away. but we love the club and the game. end of the day. it gets dark. you can't change that.

Agree0 Disagree0

Danni: there are thousands of fans who think like you, and you're entitled to your opinion, but more and more now think that there's no point in going to SJP for the rest of this season at least. Out of both cups, not going up and players who know there's nothing to play for, rubbish forwards, no prospect of any entertainment, so the only prospect is of a slow downward spiral into the bottom half. Don't mean to get at you personally but I can't understand how anybody could pay money for that sort of punishment.

Agree0 Disagree0

That's the point m8. Been season ticket holder since 1991, this year is paid up, what difference does it make if I don't go. The money has been spent. who doesn't want to watch Liverpool, citeh, arsenal, Chelsea etc etc. it's great stuff. Although MA is worse owner we have ever had. The football isn't the worst. Apart from mackems home n away, the cups and AP hit n miss tactics the football has been ok-good. No one moaned when we beat spurs, Chelsea ANd Manchester United away. Won 7/9 matches.
Roeder, souness, they were bad days where the only thing we were playing for was survival. Remember losing at home to Sheffield utd away to derby. Come on. Stick with the team til may. If nowt changes then act and yeah. I won't renew if he's still here.

My luck he will buy Ronaldo n messi n I'll never get in again.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Laudrup to us be very surprised if it happens m8

Agree0 Disagree0

Jesus christ I will j1zzzzz everywhere if we get him, please ashley please. I really doubt it will happen though. but this is our one chance, laudrup is the man who can bring back the entertainers, whether we are under ashley or not.

Go on twitter, geordies going mad about getting laudrup in. Hope ashley listens.

Ashley would probably never do this, but I say appoint Nicola cortese as managing director, and then give graham Carr the bigger role in terms of choosing players to buy with pardew or manager, then cortese sorts out the negotiations.

I'd like pardew to follow kinnear to be honest. The last derby was just the last straw for me, I know we didn't get a replacement in for Cabaye, but it's up to him to keep confidence and motive in the players, and he didn't.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I've been a Pardew supporter in the past and even after Saturday I would still say he's not the worst by any means - after all, it's not so long ago that we were beating Spurs and Man u away, and Pardew definitely outthought Mourinho the so-called master tactician. But what I can't stand any more about Pardew is his excuses, just one stupid cliché after another. We all knew that injuries and suspensions would hit sooner or later, but he didn't have the balls or the intelligence to fight Joke and the fat man for adequate reinforcements in good time. If he had taken them on openly, he might have got the sack but he would have left with his integrity intact and would have stood a good chance of getting another job.

Agree0 Disagree0

Well said Vic there has to be some reason he defends himself and Ashley

Agree0 Disagree0

I sort of agree with you vic, but now that cabaye is gone, pardew just has no confidence in the players to carry on playing like they have been. 192 long balls played against sunderland completed 0

Is this Ashley's doing? Or is it just kinnear?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Ashley will have asked JFK to step down as a pitiful attempt of a token gesture to appease the fans!
That's my thoughts anyway!
