Everyones talking how much the boss of bosses earns at Toon. truth is he's on a Sports Direct zero hours contract and he's overpaid

Motormouth JoKe told us and his wife he was spending a week in Toon on transfer business should we tell her the real truth

Joke getting up a head of steam now the windows closed wow free agents!Carlton Cole, David Bentley, Niklas Bentner, Momo Sissoko don't cost a penny just agents fees, signing on fees, £25k a week, cheap as chips!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

How does nicklas bendtner cost nothing?

Can we all calm down
On Saturday we started with 10 internationals
All 3 substitutes used were internationals.
3 of the unused subs on the bench were internationals.
1 sub has just been called up for his country
We had a further 4 internationals out injured/banned/not selected
Many teams in the PL would be ecstatic to have a squad with these credentials. Yes we are light up front if things go wrong but that is the only weakness in this squad.
As this squad gets its confidence back after the end of season beatings it will blossom into a very good side.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

By that reckonen only 1 player was not an international. Gosling and Elliott?

Agree0 Disagree0

Elliot
Actually Marveaux was a under 21 International so in fact we started and finished with11 internationals.

Agree0 Disagree0

Only weakness you say. What if Colo gets injured? Taylor is a liability. what's is HBA gets injured our only genuine creative midfield player. Mate you can dress it up all you want but we are painfully thin in every position. I sure Pardew said he wanted two creative players and we were originally in for Douglas. If he can see why can't you?

How long are we going to be reminded about the loan Ashley gave himself, he had access to the books and with his money you would think he would have the best lawyers working for him, if I buy a car for ten grand I can't go back to the dealer and say I want to loan myself two grand to improve it, so you will have to pay me back interest free. Have we not supported the club and when will this debt be paid back, money like Andy Carol the 60 mil and the funds from sponsers and ticket money year upon year, can someone let me know and I think we could hire a good lawyer ourselves for a few bob each to find out if it is legal what he is doing.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Ashley must be raking in millions from this club considering the £60mill. TV money, league placement cash from last year, the Europa League run, this years gate receipts, Wonga sponsorship money, shirt sales of the new strip (best for 3 years it has been said) and other merchandising.
And still the debt doesn't go down each year. Creative accounting or fraud? You decide.
How about giving his drinking mate Kinnear a nice contract for doing nothing which could also be worth investigating if he is selling the club as has been suggested? Nice pay off for his buddy? You decide?

03 Sep 2013 17:09:33
So Pardew's said that financial constraints were to blame for the lack of signings and that the players within our price range weren't as good as what we've got. That says to me that Carr and Pardew had identified good targets but Ashley wasn't willing to pay up and the players he was willing to pay for are crap.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

We must be skint. Ashley only pocketed 100 million this summer.

Agree0 Disagree0

Lukaku loan couldn't afford that

Agree0 Disagree0

Pardew said what he was told to say, simple as.

Good news! Carlton cole signs for west ham. At least kinnear won't get a chance on this one

Believable0 Unbelievable0

03 Sep 2013 16:32:48
Thank gawd the TW is over
Another window over without selling anyone our reputation as a selling club is in tatters.
Summer is for others to buy players we are a Hogmanay Club.
Those that have moved on are replaced by up and coming youngsters and about time we had a set up to give them the chance to develop.
Alnwick v Harper/ Good v Perch /Dummett v Simpson don't really see a weakening of the squad. I see the growing influence of Marveaux, Anita and Sissoko verses the limitations of Jonas and Perch giving the squad greater options. Tiote is under real pressure to perform and that can only benefit the squad,

Believable0 Unbelievable0

03 Sep 2013 16:03:24
why is Graham Carr still at the club? he scouts players, he recommends players but the club refuses to sign them. Hope he goes somewhere where he's more appreciated.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

03 Sep 2013 15:58:55
'We are delighted to have brought Loc Remy to the club in this window and we believe he will form an exciting and effective partnership with Papiss Ciss.

Joe has worked hard on numerous targets, particularly an additional offensive player. However some of the options that were available within our financial means were not as good as the players we already had and there is no point bringing in new players unless they can improve us and take us forward.

Pardew statement about the window. This hasn't been drawn up for him has it. The circus get worse.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

03 Sep 2013 15:46:54
JoKe is the odd job man really unemployable, Ashley took pity at the Orange Tree in Totteridge didn't want to spend much time at the Toon now that his back with his ex Linda and sadly Llambias who was doing a great job, took offence at Jokes sudden arrival to kick unsackable Percy Pardews backside and where are we now with the most unprofessional set up in thePremiership

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Who Said I'm head and shoulders above every other director of football, "

Who said judge me on my signings?

Who said Judge me after our next 2 home games?

Getting close? because along with Trashley's apathy THIS is where the problem lies and you can't dress it up.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

He must have thought he was going to Man City.

ok. so is there any point in me even looking to see who is available out of contract. apart from a certain c cole. we have looked into this avenue before. is there any likely hood we might look into it again? or am I now really clutching at straws. must be one or two players that don't have a club that are worth bringing in. even if just to keep shola off the pitch.

so far I have found ross turnbull. if we do indeed need keeper cover then why not him

and if you want a left sided player (wages may be a prob but at 32 can he really demand a big wage) Malouda. prob a no go and I know he knocking on but he might be as good if not better than what we have.

niktoon

Believable0 Unbelievable0

We are not that desperate. I know it was disappointing not to see more signings but seriously, looking around for players without a club? Times are not that bad.

Sissoko from psg just been released. used to play for l'pool and juve. very good midfielder. Why he been let go I don't know but I think his contract nearly up and blanc didn't need him

The mike Ashley out campaign? He's definitely going to drop his arse now. Wake up! The man will leave on his own account and a silly little meeting at the Percy arms is going to do jack sh*t. There is nothing we can do

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Exactly!

I'm sick to death of boycott this boycott that etc etc.

Fact of the matter is he WILL go WHEN he gets his money back,

So the quicker we stop whining and not buying pies etc. Try to start enjoying the "day out" that is going to watch our beloved Newcastle, have a pie a few beers and enjoy it for what it is, A Game Of Football. I love the smell of match days, the walk to the match, the cheering on of the players, the journey home talking about the match win lose or draw. The banter in the pub later in the evening.

Yes some of this is lining his pockets, which in turn pushes him closer to the door/Rangers.

I don't like the man one bit but I Love Our club!

Agree0 Disagree0

Your attitude is astounding. If we the fan the paying customer stopped going to games he would soon change he tune. He is all about the mighty dollar when that stops coming in he will leave and quickly.

The second post absolutely astounded me too. Are you for real?

Hi there. Everton fan in peace. i'm a county durham lad and even though I've supported everton all my life I have a soft spot for newcastle. my friend is a die hard fan and I used to go with him and stand in the gallowgate in the days of david kelly, gavin peacock etc. Ashley has mad a joke of the club and the appointment of kinnear, well i'm speechless on that. keep faith and good luck for the season. at least looking over the river to the mackems plight should cheer you up. I know it does for me

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Mackems plight? Were 3 games into the season. I would worry about the poor mans Liverpool fc that is Everton. Moyes has gone, your better players will be joining him. You were a physical hard to beat team that's what made you competative. You have martinez now changing the style and weakening the squad. Big club my ass you can barely attract 36k and your from a big city. As for Newcastle yeah they are great certs for the champions league lol.

Agree0 Disagree0

As you can see, the mackems are never far away from our page, that is because their own club is so dire and boring lol.

Agree0 Disagree0

Thought it wasnt a newcastle fan posting. plus he is right we do get 36 thousand a game in a big city that also has liverpool fans in it. what's the mavkems excuse. they the only club in therr place. good luck for the season.

'We should stay away from matches' 'fat cockney' 'jokinear' blah blah fuc*ing blah. We are newcastle united! A team in that past 5 year has went through relegation, has went through to the European quarter finals, we have history of almost lifting the premier league and having the best goal scorer of all time in the premier league! Being a newcastle fan is a rollercoaster and and we will always support our club through thick and thin regardless who we sign
In the transfer window Ffs.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

So you suggest we just follow blindly and hope for the best?

Agree0 Disagree0

Newcastle united is a sleeping giant. And we will never awake under Ashley, let's just hope this Mikhail Fridman buys him out and take us back to being one of the greatest clubs in england, not the laughing stock of england.

Agree0 Disagree0

So you're saying I should just keep pouring money Into mike Ashley's pockets because history and tradition demand. Thanks but no thanks, I'll spend my season ticket money more wisely next year and invest in something more practical like a holiday home in Syria

Agree0 Disagree0

Mikhail Fridman comes to Newcastle, and the first thing he does is sack Kinnear.

Frees the clubs fans from bondage.

What a dream that would be.

Agree0 Disagree0

03 Sep 2013 10:02:06
Confirmation from the club on kinnears remit, the transfer line was designed to apease the fans into thinking there was a possibility of new player, the facts were ashley always believed the players brought in january were enough to make the squad strong enough, remy was brought in because we cleared some players of the wage bill, the reason kinnear was brought in was to take the inevitable flack away from pardew and allow him to concentrate on working with the players he has

Believable0 Unbelievable0

03 Sep 2013 09:56:20
Quick Question.

Would you prefer that we got Remy & kept Cabaye.

or

Got Gomis, lost Cabaye and replaced him with McCarthy.

So long as the deal for Remy is view to a perm move, I much prefer the former.

Remy > Gomis
Cabaye > McCarthy

If we spent 20 million this window on Gomis and McCarthy, but didn't sign remy and lost Cabaye, I honestly think nobody would be complaining, yet the club would be worse off.

Just something to think about.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I would prefer we got remy on loan then permanent and kept cabaye. even if we did get gomis and mccarthy we'd still need a left winger/striker.

Agree0 Disagree0

03 Sep 2013 09:03:57
Kinnear did exactly what he was brought in to do- nothing! To put pressure on Pardew and deflect criticism from Ashley and the clown has done a first rate job. We will now get sold, Pardew will go or like last season almost or relegated

Believable0 Unbelievable0

03 Sep 2013 09:02:46
I think the fact no one from sky was at NUFC to report on any signings or out goings, I watched tv from 5pm and did not once see any report coming from barcode land. The quickest you get rid of Kinnear and Ashley the better as they look like they don't give a toss about your club and have made it the laughing stock of the EPL.
I think you will struggle if a couple of your key players are injured, yes I am a Mackum but am not slagging you off just stating a fact, hopefully SAFC's signings will gell soon and pull off some suprises, we did have a shocker at Crystal Palace as every club will do at one stage or another of the season so I am not panacking like a few are.
All clubs have bought to improve but Ashley seems to have ignored that and is relying on a loan who is still going to court and may not be returning.
You will buy in January again so will not go down but will finish in 15th or so with SAFC just ahead of you around 12th.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

We have kept our squad together and added Remy.

That is much better than the business that Sunderland have done.

Sunderland have sold/loaned/dropped any player of substance, and added 14 flops.

The Newcastle squad is essentially quite strong. Sunderland is like a lucky dip, it will never 'gel' because the team has not been constructed with any strategy.

Selling Sess and not replacing him, after complaining religiously about needing a creative midfielder just symbolizes everything going on at Sunderland.

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't care what Sunderland have done and if you think that this has been a good window for us when everyone else including former pro players says it been shocking then you need help. Ashley is taking the mick and continues to do so.

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree with 2nd post haha

Agree0 Disagree0

They signed Giaccherini and Bonini to replace sessegnon, both better players.

Agree0 Disagree0

Gianccherini plays on the left and so far is having trouble making simple passes, Borini is a flop striker. They have not replaced Sess.

Agree0 Disagree0

Actually Sunderland have got a strategy
I'm not defending them though
If they put the right players in the pitch which they havnt so far

2 wingers will cut inside and shoot or pass
2 full backs will run beyond and cross
Tattermole will hold and that Pi will create playmakers
2 up front will be target men

They got to make it gel first though

Believable0 Unbelievable0

03 Sep 2013 08:09:16
I think everyone should stay away from matches players are guna b down because of the lack of ambition and action what's this club turning into. So sickening to see that fat person pocketing our money

Believable0 Unbelievable0

It's impossible to win in this situation
If we go to matches, it let's Ashley continue to fu*k us over
Or we don't go to matches, the lads will have no support and will get beat

There will still be 45k + for the Hull game. We only have ourselves to blame. For once I genuinely feel sorry Pardew who is going to be thrown to the lions and JK will scurry off back to the hole he came out from.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

03 Sep 2013 02:18:58
Domt know what the f*ck everyone's complaining at, since the season we finished 5th we've signed sissoko remy gouffran mbwia Debuchy Anita, all first team players and only lost ba. We'll have a good season this season!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Really? Do you not actually realise that we still need to replace ba? We still need a new left winger to replace Jonas. The point is is that we haven't strengthened really, Ashley has shown no ambition and teams around us have. Norwich, Southampton, west brom, a lot of them have broke their transfer records. It will be harder. A lot harder

Agree0 Disagree0

Sissoko is good yeah, Remy is just on loan and the rest are back-up. We don't have any cover for RB, are still lacking up front, don't have a 3rd choice keeper, will have to rely on Tayls and Williamson at some point in defence, have little creativity, no speed on the flanks.

But yeah, what the f*ck are we complaining about?

E

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm sorry but iv seen enough of sissoko to know that he isn't good

Agree0 Disagree0

Are we forgetting that Ba is gone and Remy and Gouffran have came in.

Ba could not run a ring around a traffic cone, he was the most self absorbed greedy player we have ever had. All he was good for was tap ins.

Remy owns Ba all day long. Ba has been found out at Chelsea, he is a leggy unorthodox lazy lump.

We do have a better squad than the one that came 5th, that is a fact.

You can whine about Kinnear all you want, but it will not change that fact.

Btw. We are still not a selling club. What happened to the people saying that Krul, Cabaye and Ben Arfa would be sold?

Agree0 Disagree0

Ba found out at Chelsea lol that's why they let lukaku go out on loan and kept ba

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - It was a problem with his knee that stopped Ba leaving. Another club's insurers raised doubts about his fitness. He was always going to be a stop-gap signing at Chelsea. Lukaku was loaned out for the simple reason that Chelsea want him to be playing every week.}

Fact?
you only finished 5th because other clubs that season were struggeling

ffs chelsea finished 6th and liverpool finished 8th.
your squad is as good as the table. it never lies. not the last 3 seasons, only the last one.
so last season you almost got relegated, you will have a slightly better season this year. that's it. 13th place if your lucky. Pardrews crap tactics has been found out long ago.

everton fan

Agree0 Disagree0

''Fact?
you only finished 5th because other clubs that season were struggeling ''

Yuh, well, that happens every season!

Some clubs struggle, some clubs fly.

I suppose Manchester United only won the league because ''other clubs struggled. ''

I wonder where Vic is. Where's these signings mate? You know. The ones you said we'd get in the last few days of the window. Absolute joke! 575,000,000 spent on players and we haven't spent a penny on a first team player. (loans are not included in that figure)
No more games, no shirts, no more sky. These robbing bxxxxxxs won't get another penny off me directly or indirectly. I'll come back when Ashley sells up or dies. Preferably the latter.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Fickle fan, support our club through thick and thin regardless who we sign

Agree0 Disagree0

How is he fickle? We have been led a merry dance of smokescreens and out right lies by JK and Ashley. If we keep going to the games and acting like nothing is the matter Ashley will carry on in the same vein. How is that so hard to see. Although boycotting now is pointless it will only hurt the team. Time to do this was the first 2 home games and look what happened there. Near on sell outs.

Agree0 Disagree0

LOL a bet your in sports direct for new clothes at weekend though.

Agree0 Disagree0

Fickle? No mate. I just sick of being ripped off and lied to. Take you head out of your a##e. All this "support the team" rubbish. Do you really think if the fans vote with their feet or boo at the matches that the players think its aimed at them. They're intelligent enough to know we're aiming it at the owner. Looking at them so far, the players are just as sick of them. Fickle? Nah mate your just a sheep who'll eat up all the cliches that Pardew will be forced to churn out. Suckers like you are just as big of a problem as Ashley at the moment.

Agree0 Disagree0

Why are mackems on here laughing. what's is more funny our plight with a owner who doesn't give a toss or your plight with a owner who backs you to the hilt and your still awful and below us to boot? Little bit confused you lot over the water.

Right. Protests have to start now. Ashley kinnear all need to f*** off they are ruining this once great club. We were the 20th richest club in the world in terms of revenue last year, have one of the best home attendences in Europe and we sign no one. We are one of the biggest clubs in the land, we are sleeping giants and we just won't awake with these b******s running the club who don't give a tosh.

If JFK is the big man in football he tells us he is
then wouldn't it be the honourable thing to go on BBC Newcastle and talk us through what he has been doing this transfer window rather than running off at the mouth to the Mirror or Talksport.
Stupid me! asking for this man to act as though he cares about supporters and nufc at least Pardew has had the balls to go on radio and face the supporters.
