Players all out of contracts this summer that we may want to look at:

Honda
Douglas
Alex Pearce
Dwight Tiendalli
Ryan Babel
Jaoeozinho
Ryan Shotton

Unless they sign a new contract they will be available on a free I think.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I think Douglas has agreed to join a Russian club.

Agree0 Disagree0

Top 2 you can forget about

Agree0 Disagree0

Honda would be good

Agree0 Disagree0

Honda would be good, but we will never get him
Just like Marin, Lukaku or PEA
we need to go for realistic targets

Agree0 Disagree0

Marin is a realistic target.

Agree0 Disagree0

But he's off to Dortmund

Agree0 Disagree0

No he's only been linked with dortmund.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Fuc*in hell
Are you wanting the makems to laugh at another pointless prediction AGAIN
•Lukaku won't come for sure
•Ba will not come back
•Marin is off to Dortmund
•Rose is off to Sunderland (last team he would join is us or arsenal)
•Ince will go to Liverpool or inter to follow in his dads footsteps
•Sakho is too good for us
•Not certain about Bony

You really think we'll spend 62m
20m at the most, spent a lot in January

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree with the 2nd post

Agree0 Disagree0

I think your being a bit harsh with your reply. Why would the mackems dare laugh at us, have you seen their wishlists. Although I agree we spend 62 million in 5 season never mind this summer.

Agree0 Disagree0

He did say would never happen in a million years though, plus he said it was just a bit of fun! calm down man.

Agree0 Disagree0

Pretty sure the OP knew he was being ridiculous. It did say it was a bit of fun.

So don't p*ss on his chips. Oh no the Mackems will laugh at us! Oh noooo.

Agree0 Disagree0

Who cares what mackems think?

Agree0 Disagree0

Youre right

Agree0 Disagree0

No wonder us mackems laugh at you especially Jesmond Geordie!

Agree0 Disagree0

You really think we have 62m to spend
15-20m

Agree0 Disagree0

Thats why he said it would never happen.

Chelsea are preparing a swap deal for cabaye and ben arfa in exchange for Lukaku and Ba and 5million. Nah its not a real rumour, i'd just like to see a return for Ba one day, and i'd like lukaku. I still have a soft spot for ba you know?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Not a chance in hell

Well according to the local North East rag we are only going to buy a striker and Central defender that's even if Colo stays, with the emphasis being on quality. Also mention that a move for PEA is unlikely.

Looking like another poor summer for us.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

If we spend all our money on 2 quality players rather than 5/6 average ones then I am all for it. I think everyone is underestimating the quality of the squad, the manager and coaches just need to get them playing.

Agree0 Disagree0

If we keep all out players, and only buy 2 players of quality. A centreback and a striker, then I would call that a great summer.

How exactly would that be a ''poor summer''?

Agree0 Disagree0

I do agree to an extent, but we need 4 quality players if only because we always have terrible injuries every season.

Agree0 Disagree0

Stop being negative! I can guarantee you we will get at least 2 top quality players!

Agree0 Disagree0

JT Toon there is way no can guarantee anything. Even if you were Ashley you himself you could not guarantee that. To many variables when you say guarantee. What is negative about it we are going to lose at least 5 players this summer and replace them with 2. Our squad wasn't big enough last season. Take your blinkers off.

Agree0 Disagree0

Because you or the guy said "another poor summer"

Agree0 Disagree0

So we didn't have a poor transfer window last summer JT? 1 senior player bought. We are buying 2 according to the local rag so your right that 100% better. A great summer window. No wonder Ashley keeps raking in the cash with fans like you.

Agree0 Disagree0

Haha there's a difference between senior and quality. We bought one average senior player who was used for backup last summer so it was a poor summer. We're talking about buying 2 QUALITY players this summer so if it strengthens the first team then it will be good. Not buying 2 average players who will hardly be used.

Agree0 Disagree0

Anita was bought as a back up? He was bought for the first team. Calling him average after his first season in the PL is harsh since he has hardly played. You need to define the world quality. I would class someone like Wiltshire as quality, so is that the type of player you mean?

Agree0 Disagree0

If you're daft enough to believe the stories being fed to the Journal, well then, you're, er, bloody daft, mates. Nobody, and I mean nobody, knows anything at all about NUFC plans. At this point in the year, all clubs are registering an interest in any player they fancy - doesn't mean they're actually going to sign them all, or any of them. And we don't know which players have expressed an interest in coming to us. We'll just have to wait and hope.

Agree0 Disagree0

Its a rumour site. why take it so serious

Journal rumouring that we will be only looking to make two new signings, Defender and Striker, hope this is wrong, think we need minimum a central Defender, attacking midfielder and two strikers.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

1 good striker would mean we have, Cisse, Gouffran, Campbell and *New Striker* to pick from up front.

It ain't that bad.

Hopefully Shola is shipped out.

Most pointless player since we had Andreas Anderson playing upfront.

Agree0 Disagree0

I reckon the signings will be Remy, Ince, Sakho, Pearce and maybe Marin

Agree0 Disagree0

No
Don't set your standards to high
Maybe last summer we could go for these, but that's well gone now

The main focus of the window is going to be a new striker and a new CB regardless of whether Colo leaves or not. Any other signings depend on out goings. The club is willing to listen to offers for the likes of Williamson and Gosling. The club is monitoring a number of young players including Will Hughes but any futher action will depend on out goings. No offer will be made for Ince or Eder. Sammy Ameobi, Ferguson, Tavernier and Vuckic will all be evaluated during pre-season and a decision will be made on whether they have made enough progress to give them a chance of being part of the first team, with Middlesbrough interested in taking Ameobinon loam again next season.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Vuckic - Simply must be developed into the first team, our biggest prospect by a miles.

Ferguson - Has energy, would be good as a squad player, could be useful as back up to Gutierrez who will be getting more tired now. Ferguson will run defenders to the by line and tire them out, good to come on at 70 minutes.

Sammy - No good enough, I doubt he ever will be. Unorthodox, leggy and doesn't appear to have a footballing brain.

Tavernier - He will never even be as good as Danny Simpson, who is not considered good enough for us anymore. Pointless unless he improves drastically, his crossing is some of the worst I have ever seen.

Agree0 Disagree0

I disagree with people who've already wrote off Tavernier he's still young has never had a run of games in the first team and when he has played he's played RB, CB and LB for us and is usually in a team with very little experience, we seem to expect youngsters to be able to make the jump from reserve team football to first team football with ease but they're going to make mistakes but they'll learn from them, people seem to be a lot more critical of the youngsters than the first team players when mistakes are made Players like Taylor, Yanga-M'biwa, Santon have all made mistakes this season but nobody is talking about getting rid of them. It would be nice just to see Pardew trying to blood in youngsters with the first team instead of playing a big group of youngsters in the same team like what happened against Brighton.
