conspiracy theory is. some one at nufc leaked the fact that we would cabaye for £25 million hoping we get that offer so we can but 3 players with it as all I read is cabage going. looking like the fat man ain't learnt his lesson at all like last season and we buy 1 player. we need a striker and midfielder and centre half and could really do with selling. williamson, obertan and getting rid of shola and send sammy amobi out on loan for another season. I would of been happy with pea or bony and ince and charlie austin and defender. and sell the 2 ameobi, s etc. k

All the players u said are in talks with other teams don't u watch the news? Amazing how it's a 'll about bent now and everyone wants him. villa owe safc 8 million still u gona pay that? Doubt it

One of PEA or Bony with another striker would have been ideal. As I see it we are now looking for the 'other striker' to be our first choice.
This one will be cheap, cheerful and nowt to get excited about.

We need at least 2 strikers

Another bad decision on leaving James Perch go. He was a great back up player and put his all into the club. I think we should get that guy from the Belgiun club. Then we will have in DM: Tiote, Anita, the guy, Bigirimana.

Why do we need so many DM? Should have held on to perch if only for the fact he could play a variety of positions. We now only have Debuchy as a recognized RB.

Solid player but we need to be thinking bigger.

Would any of the other top 8 clubs play him?

Ryan taylor is rb yeah he is not fit but is still a newcastle player

William Vainqueur? We should sign his team mate Reza Ghoochannejhad too - might send JFK over the edge.

Perch put in a good shift Jonas put in a good shift but we need more than that if we want to be in top 8 or better

Ryan Taylor is no better than Perch and constantly injured to boot.

'Putting in a good shift' is a damn sight better than not having cover at all or buying crap to replace them.

The most unsettling thing is not a lack of signings but silence from Pardew.
How i'd love to hear the 'over the line' quote again.
Obviously something has gone very wrong behind the scenes. It's all to do with JFK who will do everything possible to unsettle Pardew. I give Pards till xmas.

Can see it now, opening day, get beaten by City. Kinnear talking to Ashley - "Pards doesn't know what he's doing, he should've taken of kebab and ben afri and put on the Amamobi's".

We need to stop fooling ourselves yet again, thinking that we will bring in players and get shot of the dead wood!

Obertan, Jonas, and the rest will still be in black and white next year, maybe with out Willo and Perch!

No one will come in, we will get the same excuses as last summer, we tried, but other teams offered more for the players than what we could afford!

At the most we will bring in some youngsters that we have never heard of, that have never been tried, and that will never turn into anything good!

Then again I am laughing at all the excuses that Mick Joke-in-Here will make up about why we don't get anyone!

Sad to say it but I have to agree. What makes it worse is what kind of message does that send to our better players. Who can blame them if they want to leave with the ambition Ashley is showing.

Sorry I cannot follow the above posts, didn't we sign Sissoko, Goufran,
Mbwia or did I just dream these signings. We are a signing club we have only sold Carrol and Ba of any note verses in addition to the above Tiote, Cabeye, Anita, Marveaux, Debuchy, Cisse, Ben Arfa, Hiadara, Santon, Bigerama.
Look at the facts and stop depressing yourselves as for sure we will be buying players in this window.

We signed Sissoko, Debuchey, Goufrann and Mwbia in January to stop us going down as tight arse Ashley bought 1 senior player that summer (ANITA) even though we had extra games to play with Europe. They were suppose to be this summers transfer targets. Them the facts. Dress it up how you want we all can't be wrong.

Anita is not useless mate. Like every new signing it takes time to settle in and get use to the PL. He will come good just like the rest of the January signings. We all said that about Jose and Colo and they came good. Very good in fact. Other than ever comment bar the 3rd one is correct in my opinion.

He wasn't bought in Jan, he was a summer addition.

He has had an extra six months on the rest of the French players, and still dons't look Prem quality.

I hope your right and it wasn't a wasted £4 million for him. But the only good thing he has is he's pacey, and he still have quicker players then him.

I never think he will be a Premiership player, he lacks the game to perform at the level!

I would like Obertan to be given one more season anyway.

If we can polish off some of his negative points and get him focused, he could be an amazing talent.

He was the next big thing in France and shined coming through at all the youth levels.
