First half was one of the worst defensive performances i've ever seen from newcastle. it was ridiculous. M'Biwa was in no mans land. Sissoko was terrible. All we were doing was just trying to cross it in to the box and jagielka and distin were just plucking the crosses out of the air so easily. 2nd half slight improvement but we still deserved to lose the game. The little toon fan crying summed it up. But well done fellow geordies I could hear you all night even when we were 3-0 down, you were brilliant as always. everton fans were surprisingly quiet.

everton fan here, you were so bad in first half it was unbeleivable, ad a go second half. but everton deserved to win. best of luck for season

Believable0 Unbelievable0

It was more a case of Newcastle deserving to lose than Everton deserving to win. The defending in the first half was terrible. It was suicide more than it was a killing. (1st half)

Agree0 Disagree0

Exact summary lad. Like watching a Sunday pub team. Good luck with your season.

Agree0 Disagree0

The little kid crying saddened me so much. A club this size doing terrible defending like that completely unacceptable. Everton and swansea are teams newcastle should be trying to replicate.

Agree0 Disagree0

Everton fan here. I lived in county durham for years now and used to go and stand in gallowgate with my mate when dave kelly and the like played for you lot. enjoyed the game but felt sorry for the kid who had tears in his eyes. to make matters worse for the kid he was on twice. I know for a fact the passion mags have for the team. mackems and smoggies don't get anywhere close. best of luck for rest of season

Agree0 Disagree0

Mackems don't get anywhere close? Your basing that on what? More passionate than everton ever will be.

Agree0 Disagree0

Wtf are you serious SMB everton and newcastle fans will always be more passionate and loyal than mackems

Agree0 Disagree0

Newcastle fans can't be that loyal. When you where in the championship your attendance dropped badly. You didn't even fill the away end at goodison yesterday.

Agree0 Disagree0

Everton have a top 4 contender team, always finish top 6 had 33k attendance live on ssn last night. Sunderland on Sunday bottom of the league, no wins, no manager, expecting defeat, always in a relegation battle had 41k in a game also live on ssn. Sunderland also had a higher average attendance last season than Everton. FACT. so who is the most loyal or passionate please entertain me lol.

Agree0 Disagree0

Our attendances in the Championship averaged 3000 more than yours in the Prem! Vic

Agree0 Disagree0

Well if you put it like that SMB about the attendance your right. may have summit to do with the Stadium of Sh*te having a bigger capacity. how many fans do you mackems take to Wembley. Oh wait you never get that far.

Agree0 Disagree0

Is that why we hold the record for a championship match attendance at 50000+

Agree0 Disagree0

Goodison park holds 40k+ they got 33k so what has maximum attendances got to do with anything. If goodison park held 80k the attendance would still of been 33k.

Agree0 Disagree0

Fair enough you have the highest attendance for a game in the championship but to be fair it was against Middlesbrough. However you averaged 43k which for a big club with loyal fans should be better. Still good tho.

Agree0 Disagree0

Rangers average over 45k in what the lower Scottish leagues almost Sunday league standard. Now that is a big club with special support. No wonder Ashley is sniffing around rangers.

Newcastle =normal run of the mill club with no trophies.
Rangers=Massive unique club with over a hundred trophies.

Just to shed a bit of light on the situation. We are still on the same points as Man Utd. And we come out of that Everton game flying.

There is no reason after that last 45 minutes we should not be going and doing Cardiff over. We are still very much in the mix.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

The only mix we are in playing like that is relegation.

Agree0 Disagree0

Nice to see some positivity from post 2.
sound like a mackem. The refs have lost them two matches this season.

Agree0 Disagree0

I posted to the 2nd comment and certainly no mackem. Simple stating a fact. We are already in a relegation fight.

I would have been calling for Pardew's head if the 2nd half was like the first, but I have to say, I am proud of the team and the manager for the response. If we take the last 45 minutes of football in to the rest of the season, we will do very well indeed.

Credit to Pardew for the way he turned the team around, that was an unbelievable change at half time.

Big lessons learned.

1. Mbiwa needs more time to adapt. Williamson looks improved and has to take his place.

2. Cabaye has to play, he offers something to the team no other player can.

3. We cannot play backwards, we have to take the game to other teams, be it home or away. In the 15 or so years I have been following Newcastle, I have never known us to do well by attempting to play defensive.

The 2nd half goes to PROVE we have good enough players to beat Everton.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Am I missing something here, everton won 3-2

Agree0 Disagree0

We got crapped on, at least pardew realises defensively were crap, bringing back the big guns of taylor and williamson should sort the problem, ha ha, where is Good, or am I clutching at desperate straws, long ball waste of time with remy or cisse upfront need bigger bloke, goofy tried his best, arfa s*** on the left

Agree0 Disagree0

Just reading the tea leaves, not making wild forecast, but Ashley and Joke have been present at two consecutive shambles. Could Pardew's head be on the block? (Some would say, not before time). If you weren't worried before, perhaps we should be now. Vic

Too little yoo late. why didn't AP make changes at 2-0. the issue wasnt HBA b4 those start calling him. the team was too random. no real direction. neither defensive or attackive.

Dannitoon

Believable0 Unbelievable0

He doesn't know how to change a game or how to get the team to play for 90 mins.

Agree0 Disagree0

Can believe he took HBA off and played Cabaye where HBA should be playing anyway. Tiote should have come off he offers nothing anymore, does not protect back 4 and is a poor footballer so offers nothing going forward. Pardew got it so wrong with his selection and tactics. All of those who slated me and others that wanted Pardew sacked in the summer and replaced with Matrinez Han your heads in shame.
SpreToon

Agree0 Disagree0

Pardew is partly to blame for the first half performance.

Playing Tiote was the biggest mistake. Anita is so much better in defensive midfield, Tiote kept getting caught ahead of the ball when he was supposed to be sitting infront of the back 4.

Okay Debuchy got an assist, but him and santon were terrible and gave the 2 CBs no chance.

Away from home we should be playing a back for of
RB - Mbiwa - CB - Taylor/Williamson & Colo -LB - Dummett. Yes Mbiwa was poor tonight but is a lot more defensive than Debuchy.
Midfield has get to be Anita - Sissoko - Cabeye.
Wings - Ben Arfa - Gouffran.
CF - Remy.
If not Remy on the wing and Cisse at CF.

Pardew doesn't seem to know his best team.

Agree0 Disagree0

And by the looks of it neither do you.

Agree0 Disagree0

Come on then, what do you think is our best lineup?

Starting to put some effort in for the second half of a game is criminal.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

30 Sep 2013 21:17:37
57 min gone, don't think remy kicked the ball yet

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Debrucy has got to be one of the worst signings ever, I'm thinking up their with boumsong, bramble

Agree0 Disagree0

Debuchy didn't have a bad game. Mbiwa and Krul were the biggest offenders for me.

Agree0 Disagree0

And Debuchy wins a header and Rem scores from it
spireToon

Agree0 Disagree0

Mbiwa and krull were just awful, basic defending, no cover from both full backs, krull sloppy throughout IMO we need someone who can teach the back 4 basic defending! Don't see any back room staff able!

Gouffran working his socks off, such a classy player. He has been in defence, midfield, wing and making runs through on goal.

I hear the Newcastle fans are leaving the pub.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I wish Pardew would go to the pub - and stay there

Agree0 Disagree0

What are the ankle biters doing here, have they seen the Premier League table recently?

Agree0 Disagree0

Jeez how can you say anything with propping up the table for another week?

Agree0 Disagree0

Pardew's gameplan is shocking

Agree0 Disagree0

It was banter.
Credit where its due, Cabayes goal was a cracker and you played well the second half.

Agree0 Disagree0

30 Sep 2013 20:40:15
Tim Howard has not got an assist, that is how bad the back line here is.

Tiote is all over the place, the team has no shape at all. What the heck is going on.

Tiote, Anita AND Sissoko in the same team? WTF

Believable0 Unbelievable0

30 Sep 2013 20:27:44
Going to be embarrassing this. No passion, no commitment and no ideas. Why is it we are standing off them and giving them the freedom of the park?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

3 defensive midfielders and the can't defend, disgusting

Agree0 Disagree0

Seen better defending on a Sunday morning. Pardew tactics are joke. JToon stick a positive on this performance I dare you.

Agree0 Disagree0

Oh dear, could be a cricket score lol

Respect to the gaffer for dropping Cabaye & Cisse, it had to be done.

Tiote, Anita and Sissoko is a very combative 3 in midfield, which will be needed against Everton.

As for the forward 3, it does not read any better than this: Ben Arfa, Gouffran, Remy.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Really comparative midfield _ not

Hi Geordies, Everton fan in peace and have posted before on your pages a lot so you all know I love Geordies especially those hot Geordie girls.

Anyway looking forward to the match tonight guys, hope there are plenty of goals obviously with my side winning lol, your team is looking good especially with Remy in the side.

I remember saying a while back when he blew you out for QPR that you shouldn't worry as they will go down and you will eventually get him on the cheap, i'm glad I was right on that one as he suits you guys big time.

Good luck for the season and hopefully QPR stay down and he can be made permenant

I predict 5-4 for us lol, i'm going to have a tenner on our legend Baines for first goal and tell your goalie to keep his wits about him ha ha

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Haha, your always on the geordie lasses! remy and colo have slight niggles but should play. i'm really excited! I reckon it will be 2-3 to the toon :)
