We won't pay 10 million for Debuchy if we can't get him for 6-7 million we will try and sign Clyne and Dost will cost more than 6 mil.

Agree2 Disagree0

Lovenkrands,s contract is up i,m sure... {Ed007's Note - It is.}

Agree2 Disagree0

£10m for Debuchy? we'll not pay that...
Dost? id rather have de jong.

Agree2 Disagree1

Why so desperate to get rid of Simpson? The only reason would be his not signing a new contract, I thought he was exceptional this season. Always thought he was the same quality as Williamson and perch but hes saved us at least 12point this season just thru his stops on the goal line (not saying that's the only reason to give him a new contract, but his reading of the game is second to none, if only he were a bit pacier).

Agree2 Disagree0

We've offered him a contract but he wants to be on good money with the bigger players and he isn't good enough

Agree1 Disagree0

He didn't win us 12 points, he made some good goal line clearances. He definitely cost us more than he saved with his horrific defending like when he backs off from attackers. If we want top 6 again with teams like Chelsea signing Hazard, we need a better RB.

Agree2 Disagree0

Id be happy to see simpson stay of he wasnt greedy. The contract is on the table for him, but even though he 'loves it at newcastle' he isnt signing because he thinks he is worth more. These are the players we need out, no matter how good they are. If they dont want to play for the shirt, get out our club

Agree0 Disagree0

As much as i like simpson for what hes done, i honestly think hes not the best player. when he missed the last few games, Perch came in and did as good if not better. hes very limited going forward and the amount of times ive seen crosses coming in from his side which he hasnt blocked is rediculous. Okay fair enuf hes made sum of the the line clearances but again in the 3 matches he missed at the end Santon made 2, covering the same pos danny take up when he plays

Agree0 Disagree0

Perch was 10x better than Simpson at RB.

I think David Bentley is a player that if he moves to a club where he will get playing time, he will do superb, pardew should weigh up a move for him.

Believable0 Unbelievable5

Too old, too far up his own orifice and much too crap. Mackems will probably sign him though.

lille's Debuchy to sign in the next 72 hours, being released from French squad to sign. £6.5m deal. Source fairly accurate.

Believable4 Unbelievable5

Be nice.and great to get early signings

Agree6 Disagree0

I have seen a poster on a Toon blog who I've never known to fabricate any thing say he knows we are about to sign a player from the Dutch league who will leave us open mouthed. Hope it's true.

just been surfing the net looking for who is to be released from all premier league clubs and came across this website...

http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/en/spieler/vertragsende/basics.html

who would you take from that list (at time of posting there are 98 players on the list). ED i wouldnt mind hearing who you would take in order to improve the current toon team or provide some depth {Ed022's Note - I can't really state who I believe would improve the Newcastle side mate, but I believe players who have Premier League experience would be good for you lot. I think Diame would be a good option also.}

Danny guthrie!!!

The papers are full of rubbish today, with headlines such as 'Pardew faces battle to keep hold of Cisse'.
The fact that we have only just signed the player on a long term contract, and the player is happy, would suggest that any interested club would be the ones facing a 'battle' to sign him. If we were to sell him, the club buying would have to pay a huge fee (i would suggest another Carrol type fee), which would rule out everyone except maybe city (Aguero, Balotelli, Tevez, Dzeko, etc) would suggest they aren't desperate for fire power.
Why do they bother? I might apply for a job at these papers, i'm sure i can come up with a better made up rumour than that.

Agree, the fee for Cisse would have to be astronomical. Even Man U have Hernandez, Rooney and Welbeck, plus pretty sure I read that Fergie doesn't like signing players who are likely to leave for ACON.
Also while Cisse has been awesome not many team like to buy players based on half a season in the premier league

Agree2 Disagree0

Not being funny but surely it would take £50m to sell, world class player, and only recently signed.

All these French players is a worry for me - they traditionally go missing when the going gets tough and with Europe this coming season, it's going to get tough ! Bit of English steel may not go amiss !

Believable1 Unbelievable4

The thing with English players is that they come with a premium, look at rodriguez from burnley £7 mill for him, thats 2 less than cisse. While I admit I would like to see more english players, why change what were doing

Agree2 Disagree0

A cant see Cabaye going missing, hes a fighter

Agree5 Disagree0

Look at the England national team, its full of bottlers.
Think we should stick to what we're doing, we've got some good characters in our team.

Agree3 Disagree0

I would prefer us to keep the english players that are already at the club eg simpson and guthrie, obviously neither are world beaters but are good back up options and would save us from having to buy overrated and overpriced average english players

Agree3 Disagree0

English players lack flair and technical ability. If u want to watch entertaining football we need to carry on signing French players.
