Who people be happy if we bought overrated Audemeng for around £10m (he is worth anymore). Guidetti for like £5m from Man City. Redmond from Birimgham for £2m, Ferguson and someone like Sammy/Newton/Dumment/Abeid (will probably go to Millwall) on loan.
Also a good centre back even Tomkins for £5m.
With thoses 4 signings and selling 2 or 3 players (Obertan, Williamson, Abeid), loaning 5 or 6 out too (Sammy, Fergie, Newton, Dumment, Richardson) I would be pleased

Player for player if they hit te ground running and with form we have a decent tyeam BUT We need A STRIKER who can score week in week out and the mames being mentioned are right.

Also a CB and Winger and we will do OK and can be up amongst the top 8 but with out we will struggle again

The people responsible know this BUT as we will see very soon what calibre of player will arrive we don't need cast offs or players bought just because of thier low price.

Who ever goes NEEDS replacing with Quality and hopefully the BA situation will not happen again Looking forward to the next 2/3 weeks

I think we should turn santon into a left winger and play mbiwa at left back any thoughts anyone?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

M'biwa is our future captain and is replacement for colo, if we were to move santon to left wing then I suggest we buy Rose as competition for Haidara at left back.

Agree0 Disagree0

Santon started out as a winger and I still believe it's his better position.

Agree0 Disagree0

Santon is not good enough going forward to play in midfield, he would be worse than Jonas. As far as I can tell Mbiwa is right-footed so I think we should play him RB, Santon LB with Colocini and Taylor in the middle. Debuchy looks poor so far. Are lots of good left-wingers available, we just need to put the money up and take the risk. (Bernard, Ince to name 2).

Agree0 Disagree0

Ince gone else where

Agree0 Disagree0

Well we won't be getting Ince now.

Agree0 Disagree0

To play as a winger you need to do what santon can't and that is cross a ball then again he can't defend either Jonas must have been knackered covering for him

Agree0 Disagree0

Lol it's funny how people have turned on Santon no doubt if he has a couple of good games you'll be singing his praises.
Also he's captained Italy U21s, played for the senior Italian side and Milan were looking at Santon last season which is surprising considering he can't attack or defend but you clearly must know more than professionals.

I think u need to Google the new strip dominated by the wonga logo. shamed?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

You may not have heard this yet, but all Premier League strips have sponsorship logo's.

It is called advertising, welcome to Capitalism.

Silly Mackem.

Agree0 Disagree0

Its no bigger than any other sponsor we have had. Mackems are obsessed with all things Newcastle. Thought they would be out celebrating all these world class stars they keep saying are signing.

Agree0 Disagree0

Sports Direct all over the place Tacky along with WONGA. Frankly you just have to look at the way Ashley dresses to see why. Good job he has some money because the maidens would give him a wide berth.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think the new strip looks good , ffs it's only a strip, just like gutter press always trying to stir negatives about Nufc

All this premature handwringing. our summer has been a complete disappointment. we didn't sign anyone. we lost Cabaye. Ashley is enjoying more money in his pocket. ENOUGH!

The transfer window opens tomorrow and while some teams have pre-arranged transfers, others have not. It doesn't mean we won't bring anyone in. Not a soul on here knows what's going on in the background anyway; could have one or two pretty much lined up.

Or we might not.

Either way, stop being so ruddy negative.

Agree with all that too much moaning going on

Agree0 Disagree0

Last 2 comments wake up the fans have every right to be sceptical with the personic policy of Ashley BUT wait until this time next week & the week after & perhaps scepticisism may be positivity
It does not take much but without a Striker & CB the season will be bleak

People need to stop panicing and worrying and being negative on here, mainly about the transfer window. "It's going to be a poor summer, won't make any decent signings, haven't been throwing offers at different clubs for players. "
So straight away you think because the sun, or the daily mail or sly sports haven't reported anything, you think ashley, kinnear and pardew are just sitting on their arses all day sorting out maybe coaching, tactics or even negotiating offers to sell players and aren't making any effort to try and buy some players. What do you think we learned from the Remy situation? Apart from don't buy mercenaries, but don't give it away to the media! That's what ashley and kinnear will do when it comes to Aubameyang, Zouma, belhanda maybe or Fer etc.
We shouldn't really know what's going on behind the scenes with transfers etc!
Ive also heard people say we will get tomkins and bent because that's what kinnear said. No he didn't he said we make a centre back and a striker our top targets, it was simply the media twisting his words.

Ashley has the money to spend, and I guarantee you, he will spend it after the poor season we've just had, because the more successful we are, the more money he will make!

But my point is, I'm not getting worried (the transfer window hasn't even opened yet) and neither of you lot should be, just because the media hasn't reported anything it doesn't mean we haven't put any bids in for top players or maybe even haven't had a bid accepted. You never know.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Just by staying in the EPL Ashley makes money.
He doesn't have to be successful so that's why he doesn't invest in real terms in the transfer market. He'll sell to keep up his 'in and out' transfer record since he came here.
Isn't it obvious by now?

Agree0 Disagree0

JFK Rules (well he thinks he does) Must have been up early Joe to write that claptrap.

Agree0 Disagree0

Hasnt Ashley bought Cabaye Sissoks BenArfa Tiote Debuchy Santon Mbwia Guffran Cisse Marveaux Haidara sold Carrol for35m Nolan got rid of Barton taht sounds like a man who invests wisely to me

Agree0 Disagree0

People are entitled to an opinion. Some of the opinions are more educated than others and judging by past windows they have the right to be worried. I am yet to be convinced of Ashley's intentions being anymore than bleeding the club of its best players and not replacing them.

Agree0 Disagree0

Which best players has he bled from the club so far, what are people accually worried about. at the moment we are in the same position as last season regarding players and now some of them have had a look at the prem the will only get better, apart from rumours about Cabaye we have had no other requests for our stars

Agree0 Disagree0

Escaping relegation by the skin of the teeth comes to mind Invests wisley maybe for himself but Newcastle are never going to win anything with this philosophy.
2 teams desperate for some quality players Newcastle and Sunderland

BUT you know what we might just break the top 10. Wake up dopes if your happy with that just keep buying season tickests Geez

Agree0 Disagree0

What exactly is his policy, ye we had a bad season though we didn't do too badly in Europe, but he has bought us some good players and he hasn't sold anyone for profitt (except Carrol)

I'm a SAFC supporter and I come in peace. I wouldn't worry to much about you lot signing anyone I do think that players like sissoko etc will turn good. We are signing players due to many of our players are just not good enough. It does seem Di Canio is changing everything and we will have basically a new squad come season time. But again this is because we have to change. Yes you might sell a few players but will get a few in. Like I say the team that you finished 5th with has not changed much maby just a change in tactics is needed and a replacement for Ba. A team that finished 5th doesn't suddenly become crap. Once the boardroom problem is over and sorted you lot will be ok and finish top ten. Will SAFC be top ten I honestly don't think we will.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I'm sorry my friend, but it's so easy to see that you are a mag, a Mackem would never say any of this in a million years
But, Why, what was the point in that because really, it was a pathetic attempt

Agree0 Disagree0

Top comment was spot on.

2nd comment. now now, don't be bitter.

Agree0 Disagree0

Well I'm a Sunderland fan and I think when you finished 5th was a fluke, you finished last season where you are as a club a relegation candidate.

We are too but we are trying to do something about it, changing the whole squad. A risk but a risk that's needed and worth taking.

We have a small squad so we have signed a few out of contract players, we will sign some top quality young players to go with them.

You have and will do nothing and panic buy getting your players in too late and flirt with relegation again, we on the other hand will finish anywhere between 8th-12th.

Sissoko is overated had two good games, Mbiwa is another bramble he is useless without Collocini next to him, Cabaye will be sold, Ben Arfa Is inconsistant and will spend half the season out of form, injured or on the bench, tiote is garbage, Cisse is good but waste full and always offside. Your so called quality french are just not as good as you think, your defense is shocking over 70 goals conceded.

Agree0 Disagree0

You don't finish 5th in the Premier league by fluke. You finish in the league were you deserve to. That is why you lot were the 4th worst team in the league last season and will be again this one. Worry about your own team. Says a lot when you have to have a total re-haul of your squad and we need just 3/4 players to improve ours.
