I think it's a bluff. Carroll has not done a deal to join west ham. Its probably Liverpool that have started the rumours. Nudge nudge.

Ba's clause closes tomorrow, I am predicting Newcastle will swap Ba for Carroll. We could not propose the move earlier because if BA thought we wanted to get rid of him he would have left to a club on the cheap and got a bigger deal with someone else.

ed, looks like we are going to survive without ba's clause being activated.
any idea if he might have a similar clause for the next window? or next summer?
albeit with a smaller window of opportuniy to activate it? {Ed026's Note - I believe Newcastle will negotiate a new contract which removes any clauses similar to the one he has at the moment, should Ba still be around by the close of the window - which I think he will be.

Any CL side can activate it. But he doesn't have to go. He says he wants to stay so relax.
So does the fact the we'll look to re-negotiate his contact indicate their may be a similar clause which applies to the other transfer windows?
Further to my last comment, i'd guess the club will look to offload him as soon as they get him away from any claused contract.

Him and Ben Arfa were defo having words with Debuchy in the Euros and telling him where to come, lets hope we can get the deal done.

Debuchy deal will take time, theres no point in saying its going to happen tomorrow or next week ect. Patience is key in the transfer market
