Just been over to the dark side to see their rumours but nothing happening! But whilst over there i see a mackem who said fans money doesnt contribute to players coming in at all! i had to laugh and explain to him this- If you get 40,000 fans everyweek at your games and tickets are £20 each on average then that is £800,000 per game and if you add stuff like programmes and etc it should clear the club over £1 million per game and when you spread that over 19 league games and maybe 6 cup games at home then that equals over £25 million into your club!

But that doesnt help bring players in apparentley!

And they ask us where our money has gone!

Think they should be asking that question really considering who they chasing and who they not!

Add 35 million for tv rights and then points money every year and your talking 60 to 70 million per year before wages.

so here goes.....Mackems! wheres your money gone?

Believable1 Unbelievable1

Ha Ha when was the last time you lot played 6 cup games at home in a season?

Remember me?

Ronald Radford (Hereford), hey hey

Agree0 Disagree0

Every one knows that all your money is paying off that 100million + debt that you have got. So be more conserned about your own clubs financial standing.

cabaye been charged for this kicking incident, 3 ban game likely unless we fail appeal, which could see it increase.

could someone post a link to the cabaye el-abd incident, i want to judge for myself if he is guilty or not.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Cabaye charge for a kick quite rightly, however has anyone here seen the van persie on carlos cuellar 'elbow' which has not been charged for? typical fa bias towards a smaller team like newcastle btw before people say i am not a newcastle fan yes i am i bleed black and white, ed what do you think of the charge for cabaye and no charge for van persie? {Ed001's Note - there are loads of similar incidents that never receive a charge, the FA needs to sort itself out and either charge them all or none of them. But then any organisation that sets up an independent panel consisting of their own barrister, a member of their organisation and a former member of their organisation to investigate and instigate disciplinary hearings is really a law unto themselves. My suggestion is to look into an organisation called 'Change FIFA', they are also involved in trying to make all FA's answerable, rather than the incompetent and biased organisations we currently suffer under.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Didn't a player from the team currently at the top of the league just get charged for the same offense? Also if it's smaller clubs being punished Cabaye would already of received a 3 match ban for what I can only describe as an assault in the Liverpool game. Having said that I fear it is not Newcastle being a smaller team rather that they couldn't charge van persie after not charging Lescott for the same thing....

Agree0 Disagree0

Now is the time to play hba in a more central role, with rtaylor playing on the right

Agree1 Disagree0

I couldn't agree more...and what about the crouch eye raking incident, he should face a ban for that, the FA are too inconsistent. They seem to only charge certain players....joey barton always gets a harsh deal off the FA based on his reputation, each case should be looked at individually and charged, not just go with what the sky sports pundit says like the FA seem to do. {Ed001's Note - I couldn't agree more.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Im not getting on about the suspension which i am sure i indicated that cabaye should get the 3 atch ban for, what I mean is the FA are too inconsistent with blatent acts of violent conduct, van persie used his elbow to make space so he could jump easier as cuellar had closed him down and is a better player in the air, but as ED says if we want to get involved we have to look at the organisation called 'change FA' hopefully it eill make everything a lot fairer, im starting to wonder with the league table closing up if suddenly a fairer system would allow for a closer league as you o find the teams at the top get most of the decisions all season and then from about 6/7th down they get less and the relegated teams just dont get that little break they need to stay up unless they are west ham who were shocking last year

Is it just me or are other fans getting fed up with cabaye...he complains whenever anyone touches him and then makes some horrible tackles of his own and kicked out at the brighton player on saturday. He came from a title winning side last season and should understand his value to the team especially with tiote away he needs to cut this out of his game as if he is banned it could cost us over the next few games. I like the player but not a fan of his attitude at the moment.

Believable4 Unbelievable6

Your the one going on like a girl.he's class

Agree6 Disagree2

On top of that he's not exactly putting in wonderful performances either.
Beginning to think he may have been overrated.

Agree2 Disagree6

Complete idiot. Cabeye is quality. He gets kicked from pillar to post, saturday was no difference. would rather have his attitude than Shola's. Cant be easy for him when you look up and you have 2 bags of cement to pass to.

Agree7 Disagree1

Have you took ya medication today

Agree1 Disagree3

The first writer was correct - his attitude leaves a lot to be desired. He is yet to "set the place on fire" and is not currently living up to his reputation.
Just because he's a French international -doesn't mean we can't be critical.
Guivarch and Boumsong anybody?

Agree2 Disagree5

You are a clown or a mackem also. Guivarch and Boumsong, don't make me laugh. Cabeye is quality and its his first season in the PL. His attitude shows he cares nothing more.

Agree3 Disagree0

I bjt like scholes, cant tackle but still.a top class center mid. Scholesy never whinged tho

Agree0 Disagree1

Bit slow for me

Agree0 Disagree1

I thought Cabaye was restrained at the kicking he was getting. Shame he didn't knock his teeth out.

Agree1 Disagree1

Hes now been charged by the fa for violent conduct! total shambles! it was all too fast for the fa to say it was on purpose! still waiting for de jong to be punished for his leg breaker and rooney for his kick on colo!

Agree0 Disagree0

Cabaye now facing action from the F.A.

Agree0 Disagree0

Should comments like` he should have knocked his teeth out ` pass scrutiny. Comments like that are beyond contempt.

Agree1 Disagree0

I agree mate, he's an awesome footballer but he annoys the he'll outa me, he's gunna get more cards than big cheik!

Agree0 Disagree0

"You are a clown or a Mackem also".
I think the answer lies in the statement - "doesn't mean WE can't be critical."
Perhaps everyone with a sensible opinion that differs from your is a "clown"?
Get a grip man and act like a discerning, responsible supporter rather than a starry eyed kid whose heroes can do no wrong.

Not a rumour just an observation. Why are we trying to sign a bloke from Watford (no disrespect meant) who always played in the Championship when for similar money we could have gone for Onouha who has proven PL pedigree?

Also if we are looking for a CB who is young, fast, can play in at full back as well and is available why are we not going for Bassong?
SpireToon

Believable1 Unbelievable1

Because bassong chose to run away along with the other greedy money grabbers when we went down

Agree1 Disagree0

I agree bassong would be a great singing even low he s**t on us.

Agree0 Disagree0

He fell out with alot of the current squad when he left

Agree0 Disagree0

He chose to run away?? He was our most saleable asset after Martins when we got relegated. The club cashed in on him, £7m back for a player that cost us £500k. He was great for us and if Shearer had been put in charge he was one of the few on the "will not be sold" list which is probably one of the reasons why MA did not give him the job as he wanted the money.

Agree0 Disagree0

Heard bassong singing in the pub once would be great on x factor

Agree0 Disagree0

He'll be singing Bread of Heaven for Mark Hughes shortly and we will have missed out again. £2-£3m and about £30k a week, we should get him, he ticks all the boxes.

Fell out with which players? How would you know anyway? SpireToon.

I know this might sound stupid but I really don't think we need to worry about loosing demba ba to any other PL clubs. He doesnt seem to be the kind of player that would fit in with any top side, he is very good just not a 'face that fits' in my opinion. City seem to go for big names, man utd go for young or big names, arsenal dont sign anyone, and spurs dont have that much moneytto spend (signed adebeyor on loan) Liverpool have the money but aren't showing much more progress than us really.

The only fear i have is that Ba could join a top european team but that throws up the question would he want to move countries again so soon....just have to wait but i think he might be around for a few years yet

And none of the above mentioned his diodgy knee which might put a lot of clubs of spending the money

Believable1 Unbelievable1

My hope is that IF he goes it will be PSG his childood team, could just about live with that.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ba will not go anywhere as no one will pay a transfer fee on someone they cant insure

Agree0 Disagree0

30 Jan 2012 00:28:02
is it only me but have ba and cisse have 3 different shirt numbers at the acon am postive they did not blaming this for there lack of goals but just think its a bit weird that they would be able to do that

Believable0 Unbelievable0

30 Jan 2012 00:04:57
Really hoping Demba Ba and Cisse come straight into the starting 11. Unlike Santon when we signed him.
As for the Brighton game - Pardews subs made NO sense. Took of the 3 most creative players, Benny Guthrie and Santon, and replaced them with 2 wing backs and a guy who looks way off the pace. Was almost like he was just giving up which makes no sense after his comments about the FA Cup.
Still fully behind Pardew 100%, but that made no sense to me

Believable4 Unbelievable1

Benny was running up blind alleys and getting 3 man marked out the game .Santon was walking a thin line and looking liable to be exposed and Guthurs was just not on the ball as was the case for most of em. In truth we could of done with obertans pace and lovenkrands on for the ineffective shola.
