What I think will happen in January
Out
Simpson
Ba
Tiote
In
Debuchy
Douglas
Remy/abumyang
Sissoko
If this all happens I think we will finish 8th and having a good run in Europe but I can see us being typical Newcastle and selling our best players (HBA and cabaye) and Leaving it too late to sign any decent replacements. If this does happen I can't see us finish in the top 12 and we slip into a downward spiral and cashley will put us back into the championship

It's disgusting how ba wants 90/100k a week and wants to go to chelsea, he wouldn't even be in England if it wasn't for Newcastle. But hopefully cisse will get back to scoring ways in ST role of 433.

Ed do you think we'd be interested in picking up Esteban Granero from QPR once they go down? I vaguely remember being linked with him before he made the move to the Prem... Is a class player but seems to be struggling much like the rest of his teammates. {Ed037's Note - Personally, i think he's past it and just wants a pay day from QPR, but you never know!}

Debuchy will be a great signing and will help but we are desperate for a new centre half, I don't care about his age we should get Lescott or Hangeland who is out of contract in the summer so should come quite cheap.
If Chelsea don't want Lamps we should sign him too as we are sadly lacking in experience and a player who can control a game and direct the likes of Marveaux, Obertan etc so we keep the ball and make sure at 3-3 we at least walk away witha point.

Don't think Lamps would be interested in us out of respect to Chelsea and for monies in China/USA.

Hey guys, just after some thoughts?
Why do a cast majority of fans want Ba to leave? I can't see why he's the only form striker we have. Given cisse has been out of position all season.
Question: what if cisse doesn't capture form who will score the goals?
Remy is by no means prolific personally rather take a punt at Aubameyang as well as tightening the defence.
Think it's going to be hard to replace the goals Ba has delivered however nothing signed yet so fingers crossed and we've had some good news on the Dedbuchy front.
Hope we can add a CB, CM (Sissoko) and possibly a ST or 2 (Remy and/or Aubameyang). CB well that's anyone's guess.
Have a good'un guys!

I think its because after all we did for him (give him a chance when no one else would) and after offering him a decent new contract he still demanded 90k a week.
Fair enough he has scored the goals, but he leaves it allows Cisse to play through the middle and if we can get Remy to play on the left, it will be
Cisse
Remy Ben Arfa
And that will look pretty good!

We thought ba was a loyal player, well I did, but until he rejected 70k a week and demanded 90, that was utterly disrespectful. Remy is better than aubameyang, he's quick, clinical, the exact striker we need. Debuchy, a centre half, remy, and maybe another CB or CM would be a successful transfer window.

why are people saying where struggling cos of injurys
tiote and colo not injured no where near there best santon needs to be on left or right wing loves to get forward and is good getting forward but leaves us short at the back.tiote needs to be sold to many mistakes costing us.marvaux sheer class him and ben arfa will kill defences we just need cisse to get scoring again.
debucy deal apparently done so gud news shud of been done last window instead of haggling about afew grand.
bigi guna b a class player for us similar to tiote but got alot better pass .think mike ashley will invest this window dnt like the man but am sure he knows we need reinforcments .
i wudnt even mind seeing milner come back myself lets just hope we get a class cd

Does anyone else think we should at least bid for Ricky VanWolfswinkel?
For a kick-off his name is like a porn star's/a night-dogs willy.
but seriously, he's 23, scores a goal every other game, he's european so ACN doesn't come into it. Tim Krul could convince him and he wouldn't be beyond our budget if we're looking at Remy.
And can play football because he's Dutch!
thought?

Yes defending was poor but predictable considering we lost Williamson and Anita the game before. We are missing 8 players Anita, Cabeye, Ben Arfa, jonas, S Taylor, Gosling, R Taylor, Vukic. On the other hand Arsenal at full strength and no game couple of days earlier due to a tube strike.
Let's make it clear there are 8 miles between Upton Park and Emiratea. The West Ham fans could have got Taxis, mini Buses, buses or walked some jellied eels off. Newcastle on the other hand had been away at Man U. I can understand heads dropping when the 4th went in. The FA need to look at fixtures we were at a huge disadvantage that's a fact!
Look at the bench Pardew had no one due to the lack of summer investment and injuries. Who could he realistically bring on? He messes up Pre Season where Ben Arfa played 20 mins, Cabeye 45 mins no wonder their injured! We haven't looked fit all year. Look at Jonas the players aren't fit!
He must sign a RB and CB plus a striker if Ba goes. To be honest he should sign tomorrow or just leave sick of hearing about him. Get Cisse back through the middle where he belongs

Do you know you can only have 11 players on the pitch at any one time so mentioning everyone who is injured and could play makes little sense ! Amateur !

If you read what I said I stated Pardew had no options from the bench either which makes it 16 not 11. Learn to count
Krul
Simpson
S Taylor
Colocini
Santon
Tiote
Anita
Cabeye
Ben Arfa
Cisse
Jonas
So there are 5 in there with the other 3 competing for the bench. Williamson would definitely be on

Performance was good till 70 mins , till our third goal, after tat we were in a downward spiral.no defense at all in the last 20-30 mins, attacking-wise we were good , obertan and marveaux linked pretty well. . . we need to sort our defense quickly . . .iToon

Personally, I don't think selling tiote is the best idea, apart from we could get a lot of money for him. But hes a unique player, he just needs to get back into form, then you'll be loving him again. He hasn't had cavaye next to him really. If cabaye was out of form and started conceding possession, would you want to sell him? No. If it was Colo out of form, would you want to sell him? No. We need tiote as he's one of the best defensive midfielders in the prem. And had has amazing strength.

I am not sure what is so unique about Tiote, defensive minded players that will put a foot into a challenge are a dime a dozen, Pardew has obviously changed things around and the team are trying to play a possession game, if we are going to try and hold onto the ball then we need players that can do something with the ball... if we send out midfielders that can tackle and not do much else then that is what the team will likely end up doing in that area of the pitch, chasing shadows and tackling while getting anxious on the ball and giving it away.
I ask this, is it really impossible to find midfielders that can challenge for the ball but are also very confident on the ball and can play some nice passing.
Why does it always have to be one or the other? At this level of the game I seriously do not think teams need to be playing players like Mikel or Tiote, just because they look intimidating and can put a challenge in does not mean their challenges or tackles are any better than any other player that will do the same thing.
Cabaye can pass like Scholes and I have never seen him shirk a challenge yet, so what makes Tiote so special as opposed to players in Cabaye's category that can tackle and actually play football too.
Vuckic would be one of the first names on the team sheet for me if he was fit right now.
Mike Ashley loves a bargain, I am surprised we have not been linked with Holtby.
