Wouldn't be suprised to see a CDM to come to Newcastle either on loan or on a free just to give us cover and competition for Tiote as I expect him to pick up 2 more bookings by the end of the season espescially with Pardew showing when we got beat by Stevenage that he isn't a sensible manager can't think of any names though.

Newcastle need at least two strikers because:
Lovenkrands: he looks good when he's putting in all the effort chasing the ball around then he gets the ball and you wish he never.
Ameobi: For someone his size his hold up play is average and You would think he was good in the air but Best wins twice as much and for a player that has been a Newcastle player for 10 years you think he would have learned how to pass and he tries to shoot from 20+ yards but he can't even shoot from 10 plus Ranger would of had a chance to score if Ameobi just passed but decided to be ballgreedy.
Ranger: full of potential but is never going to become good striker if he is training and playing alongside the two above but if we signed a talented striker like Gameiro or other names mentioned you will see the difference in his game from things he picks up on from a quality striker.
Best: although alot of fans don't rate him I do his hold up play is great and I think Newcastle would of picked up a couple more points in the last few games if he was playing.
I highly doubt we will be signing more than two strikers as we will have Best, Ranger and Ben Arfa is going to be used as a CF to link up play so I would expect a big striker and a poacher to be signed.

I would love to see Gervinho, Sow, Elmander and another quality forward such as Sturridge, Defoe or Odemwinge. As I can't see us winning games with Ameobi and Lovenkrands upfront they work hard but just aren't goalscorers. I also think we need someone like N'Zogbia back he was quality when he was here stupid how we got rid of him. If we don't get him we could try and get Larsson however i would rather play barton at rm then him after his performaces this season. I also think we need cover all along the back 4, James Perch is rubbish, Campbell is long gone and Shane Ferguson is good but is only young {Ed001's Note - I don't understand why Lovenkrands is even at the club, he didn't complete a single successful pass in the entire first half yesterday!}

Heard on Skysports Chelsea would let Sturrige go for £10-15 mil. What you think Ed? {Ed002's Note - It would be closer to £15 and I doubt even then they would sell him easily. He remains part of the long-term plans but there is a chance of course.}
Doubt he will be sold but if he was available I would pay 15 million for him but if he was to come to Newcastle you have to hope Chelsea are not looking for swap deal for Tiote.
