we are not signing Ince - Swansea

we WILL be left with a bare squad again when we sell fringe players like Obertan and when we lose quality like Cabaye and we bring in relatively unknown players that will make little impact.

Totally agree mate. Its shocking how we keep putting up with this circus. Don't worry some pro Ashley member will tell us its fine and to keep the faith.

I think Obertan gets a bad press at Newcastle and we are in fact a better team when he is in the side, which is supported by the fact that he was a regular when we finished 5th and barely played at all last season which we all know was abject. I am not saying he is a world beater and he certainly lacks final product, but unlike Marveaux who flaters to deceive for 89 minutes of the 90, Obertan is an excellent outlet with his pace and takes the pressure of the defence. Still, I would replace both Marveaux and Obertan with someone who can impact the game with greater regularity.

Obertan is the worst player to wear a Toon shirt. Your either a mackem or never seen him play.

I agree with both comments Obertan is a poor player however I understand what the other poster is saying when teams played us with Obertan in the team they had to worry about his pace and getting caught out from a counter attack despite how poor he is take him out of the team and the opposition can defend close to the halfway line and pin us in our own half without the fear of being caught out.
Basically we need a new winger with pace.

Dortmund have agreed a £13 million pound fee for PEA. A lot less than we apparently bid fro him last week. let's see if our leader is willing to match this. Give a true insight to his true intentions for the club either way. £13 Million surely we can match that.

What about a move for Oscar Cardozo? Although he's just turned 30 I think he still easily has at least 3 years left at the top. He's about 10x more lethal and proven than this PEA or Bony we seem to be continiously linked with are and would only command around a £10m transfer fee. He seems to be available from Benfica and since Cardiff City have been linked I don't see why we shouldn't be going in for him. This is the kind of signing we want.

Darren Bent at £6m would also be a steal and silly to say otherwise. Proven he scores goals in any team if he is played. Ex Mackem or not, that would be good business for us.

As for this Kurt Zouma nonsense, be serious. NUFC haven't enough money to be punting £10m on an 18 year old that has barely played any first team games. Not many fans will have even seen him play so stop trying to claim he's world class and we should sign him. We would be much better off trying to sign Vermaelen, Richards or Lescott for CB cover.

It annoys me when people say we can't afford him or won't pay that. Have we forgot that we have a billionaire owner. If Ashley wanted to he could easily put up £50 million this window. Not for one second do I think we need to spend that but he could if he wanted to.

How would we be better off trying to sign Richards? He spends most of his time in the treatment room.

No we should defo go for zouma he's a regular starter for them anyway and is one of the most highly rated defenders in the world. cardozos too old, although I agree with bent and richards
