this would be the best newcastle team ive seen for a while. we can chalenge for the top 4. debuchy for 6mil is a steat hes easily worth 12mil in 2days market also douglas is a powerfull cb just what we need he was the second best cb in holland just behind jan vertongen in my opinion.

I think we should try and get one of chelseas former players who were realesed today. I know wages may be a problem but if someone dose come in that they would probobly have experiecnce in the champo league like Feirera Kalou and Boswinga. Like we did 2 years ago with Campbell but lets hope that if someone doz come in that theyll do better than he did.

I know people will disagree with Vuckic but I think teams will struggle with that midfield three Tiote would break up play, Vuckic has a lot of power going forward and his shooting and then Cabaye pulling the strings with his passing.

Martin is absolutely fantastic, and in a 3 man midfield he'd work wonders. But he's signed for Lille already to replace Hazard.
De Jong wouldn't be useful out wide, he's an out and out goal scorer whose best attributes are goal scoring and hold up play, which aren't very useful out there. Perhaps the 12 mil would be better spent on a winger?

If we tied up deals for Douglas, de Jong, Anita, Debuchy and Curtis Good. I think we have a squad capable of a good run in Europe, and a solid top 6 finish in the league. Not Champs league yet but I think we're on track for that IF we're able to keep our key players ... Here's hoping!

Ed, the way we have dealt in the last couple of seasons we generally do buisness on the quiet. Why all of a sudden is there so much noise about de jong, could there be someone else as good if not better were really after and using de jong as a public throw off. {Ed001's Note - because his club and reps are trying to stir up some more money.}

Smoke screen to cover up real targets?? We were linked with big names with big fees last year and it never materialised.........Ashley and co are particularly good propaganda merchants, letting us read/hear what they want us and every other club to be believe whilst working away quietly on the real targets.......or am i just being paranoid........Gervinho, Gameiro, Erdinc, etc etc etc......
