Sick of hearing that John Carver will be a ‘safe pair of hands’ as Newcastle Manager.
That’s not what we need. All that tells me is same old, same old – which was evidenced yesterday. Carver has no real managerial experience; he has mainly been a Coach working under somebody else’s guidance and direction. The following quote from the Chronicle after the Burnley game says everything:-
When asked what changed after a great first half, Carver said afterwards: “It’s a great question and I’d love to have the answer for you right now, but obviously I haven’t.
We need a new fresh approach & new ideas. I have listened to after match interviews from Sean Dyche, the Burnley Manager and been very impressed. He is a young, up and coming Manager with an exciting approach and a footballing philosophy. He appears to be an excellent Man Manger tactician and team organizer. After losing three of his players early in the first half, he made a team of nobody’s outplay our so called stars, let’s be fair – they should have won that game.
I think this guy would be worth a look rather than the tired old has-beens being bandied around.

From what I saw his team played better football in the 2nd half than we did. They scored 3 goals and had 4 shots hit the post plus several other attempts on goal. I would settle for that

I think Dyche is almost like an up and coming Pulis. I think he has a philosophy, and one that can provide stability for burnley and that's somethinng we need (however we want a manager that brings us a good style of football) I think Dyche would be too out of his depth here.

Young, ginger Allardyce. Not for me thanks. I think a german coach would be a good solution, touchel would be a great appointment.

When a caretaker manager takes over a club he usually has his own ideas. Alnwick is absolute carp, i know we are struggling for keepers but the young lad Woodman can be no worse than him. Why did he take Riviere off? Movement excellent, holds ball up and let's face it Armstrong is a million miles away from a premier league player. When Taylor was injured, sensible decision was Dummett ctr back and Hiadara at left back. THEN what was he thinking at 2-2? Midfielder off left back on? I may be on my own here BUT if John Cardew gets the nod for the job then we will be in a relegation battle, 3rd rate coaches DO NOT make good managers.

Our team selection has is our downfall at the moment.
Gouffran should not be in the starting 11 at the moment. Cabella offers a lot more, he is more creative and get more chances. Gouffran is offering very little.
With Cisse now suspended and going to the African cup are going to have to play Rivière up front.
If going to continue to play 4-5-1 Perez on the right, cabella on the left and then sissoko, colback and who in centre mid.
Could switch to 4-4-2 but again who plays on the right??

Disappointing result today lads. I took only a few positives.
Rivieres movement was great
Sissoko, Collback and perez continue to be the heart beat of the team
we scored 3 goals again!
We need a keeper desperately. Cabella should have started and should start against leicester. with riviere and perez creating more space he could start to find his groove.
tiote, williamson and goufran (although he was a bit better today) need to be moved on.
I wish Carver, Stone and Beardsley well. It would be nice to be talking about the club in positive terms moving forwards. We all know Ash won't splash the cash. We also know that we won't get a top class manager/coach.
at least i won't have to listen to pardews drivel - although carvers 'the ghost of SBR is looking down on me' banter was pardewesque
