What the hell does ap see in Williamson, why on earth does he hasn't got the pace and the awareness for the premier league. He's cost us too many goals this season, i thought he could have stop the cross for everton second, he just stands and watches. Stoke city second he stands watching the ball unaware who's around him. Hes not a premier league quality. Championship instead. Pardew needs to pull hiss finger out and get two cb, one experienced and maybe a young one. Also with ba not playin I was expecting cisse in the middle not out wide again, marveux should of been out wide to us pace down both wings.

Believable5 Unbelievable0

He is making santon look rubbish as he keeps having to mark Williamson's player as a cb, as Williamson keeps getting caught out.

Agree4 Disagree0

Williamson the weakest link in the side at present, new CB needed asap.

Replacing Ba with odemwingi for 3 million. Ashley has done the dirty again. Watched the game tonight. I think Williamson would struggle in the championship and santon needs to be replaced And did u see our subs. Could'n score in a brothel. A total different team from last season.

Believable2 Unbelievable2

Yes, completely agree. Santon has been poor defensively and Williamson simply isnt PL quality. Odemwingie is 31 so i dont think he'll be coming. We looked like the 2009 relegation side tonight. As soon as Everton took the lead we were beaten. We're in serious trouble now.

Agree3 Disagree2

In what universe does Santon of all people need replacing?

Agree7 Disagree1

Santon looks poor because he is stuck out there with one or two (if not more) players who would struggle to defend in the championship... and not just from the back four.

Agree4 Disagree1

I thought Williamson's positioning was more at fault than Santon's for the 2nd Everton goal. He was just trying to make up for Williamson's lack of positioning.

Newcastle falcons to sign Obertan

Dean Richards has watched him and thinks he could play on the wing

He's a bit concerned thou

Obertan may have to kick the ball on occasion

Believable2 Unbelievable3

Obertan was one of the best players on the pitch, so stop talking sh*te {Ed003's Note - I thought he did well }

Agree5 Disagree0

He has been one of the few bright spots.. working at both ends of the pitch.

never seen such a contrast in displays. although losses against manu n gooners. our performances were sort of encouraging.. but once again we were pardewed.. such shocking tactics..

why take oba off..
why everton allowed sych space in midfield
why are williamson and colo so CRAP.
why shola when he is always oppos 12th man with yhe constant free kicks.
why is debouchy signing for us.. sure he was on phone to wenger at ht

Believable4 Unbelievable2

Colo is only crap defending with Williamson, how can you be expected to defend well alongside him?

I am not one for slating the lads, but we were so poor tonight Everton did not even get out of 3rd gear. I am sick of watching people losing the ball and giving it back to the attacking players in our defensive third, if we cant do the basics right we will go down.

We have no creative flair and the long ball tactic is not working at all. We had Marveux and Obertan on the pitch and to be fair they did ok for the first 20 mins, but again defensive error and poor refreeing meant they got back into the game.

Debuchy must have been watching and thinking what a bag of s***e. Who are we going to attract to the club now? All this crap about oh wait for our players to be back etc etc is tripe.

We need to sell Tiote he gives the ball away all of the time and for some reason he now thinks he is Ben Arfa on the ball and tries to take on everyone? Williamson is junk too get rid. We need a striker, a creative MF player, a centre half and a decent left winger. We aint gonna get them. We will possibly sign Debuchy, but I would not blame him if he decides not to sign. It is becoming a joke, we are becoming the laughing stock of the League.

Also, can anyone actually blame Ba for wanting to leave? I wonder if he still has a deal in his contract now that he can leave for 7.5 mil? Hope he does his knee in his first match!

Becoming a laughingstock!?

god, i'm crying, i'm actually crying, it was so painful just seeing shola still on the pitch after 70 mins, WHY THE HELL DID HE TAKE OBERTAN OFF he was the one who was gonna give us spark. Once we went 2-1 down we just started playing longball. Cisse's gotta start down the middle next game, and we desperately need debuchy, remy and a CB. Bottom 10 will be a massively dissapointing season. Shocking how we haven't won away yet. But this was 3 points dropped, no question no matter where Everton are, we should beat them, we should be where they are.

Believable4 Unbelievable2

Everton didn't get out of Neutral. So comfortable. And you shouldn't be where we are. You barcodes make me laugh. One good season and you're dreaming. Still in the KK days. Payback for being robbed at GP. Pardew may have been right, championship for the barcodes. Mwah

Don't know why anyone would wanna join us - we are one of the worst teams in the EPL.

Horrible result against Everton, what makes it even more heart breaking is that I do not know who to blame anymore, I thought all the players did quite well.

Starting to think we are cursed.

Why does everything have to be such a calamity, makes me feel sick to my stomach.

We get into a good lead and somehow leak a goal from a direct freekick from all of 40 yards out.

Then big Shola through on goal and (as expected) fluffs his 1 on 1 with the keeper, then Everton are are up the other end of the pitch and take the lead.

What the hell, seriously?

Half time, should be 2-0 ref has been against us, fellain, baines and pienaar are so dangerous. Take off ameobi bring on ameobi, and play cisse down the middle. Should of been a penalty. But i have faith in pardew to bring the inspirational team talk and really go on and hammer Everton.

Believable3 Unbelievable3

02 Jan 2013 20:01:35
why is it we immediately play a long ball after every kick off we take?
not retained possession once since we've been doing it.

In some respects ba leaving could be positive because it allows cisse to play in the middle once again.

Believable1 Unbelievable1

Sadly Pardew chooses to play Cisse on the left...stupid!

He scored when hes the main striker

Hey folks, obviously every man and his dog knew that Ba was going somewhere. just wondering if Chelsea is to be his destination would it not have made sense for us to have tried to get lukaku as part of the deal in some way. i know he is on loan but is that till the end of the season? and would a bid tempt them. more to the point though would people be happy with lukaku at castle? i seen him a few times now and he does defiantely have something and although not blistering he did seem pretty quick too. ideal for us.

Believable3 Unbelievable0

Our hands are tied, we can't negotiate with chelsea because of the cluase. why would the pay £7m and a player on loan when all they have to do is pay £7m.

Agree3 Disagree0

Would love to have lukaku, can play behind, on the wings or as a backup striker.

Agree1 Disagree0

Ap[ayer cannot play for more two teams in the epl in one season

02 Jan 2013 15:46:41
could it be a merry go round ba going to chelsea means they dont want lukaku back in january this means his stay at wba means no place for odemwingie who looks like he could be signing for newcastle

Believable1 Unbelievable1

That would be very shortsighted if wba did this as lukaku will be gone in the summer and they will be left with just shane long, oh and by the way ftm

what do u guys think about Ba?
bluekaz(chelsea fan)

Believable1 Unbelievable1

I think the better question would be to ask you the same. Is he going to play? Will they drop Torres? He likes to be the main striker and although you have brilliant players that could make that happen (Mata, Hazard, Oscar etc) It's a question of whether he will play and if preffered role, although I doubt he will kick up as much of a fuss at Chelsea earning the big money as he would at Newcastle.

You have seen him in action I would assume he has scored half our goals this season but one could argue others would of scored more had Ba not been catered to as much as he has.

Agree0 Disagree0

Good footballer bit doozy when balls in his feet at times very moody and no loyalty at all

Agree3 Disagree0

He is going to cause trouble at Chelsea when he does not get enough games, expect to see Ba(or one of his agents) bad mouthing Chelsea every other week in the press.

Agree1 Disagree0

Good player but if he gets anywhere near the box he doesn't pass. He is not a team player but will score goals.

Agree2 Disagree0

Miss led by friends and agents as they all want money they don't care about ba he is just a way of them making money but other than that a top striker and will score anywhere he goes would be a great signing for anyone and at 7 mill not bad but just have to watch out for him though cos it will take another 2 mill to go to agents to also get him to start talking to another team this was wat was hold any deAl up with Newcastle cos we wouldn't pay that to his greedy agents

Agree2 Disagree0

Good player , bad attitude plays for himself not the team wont play on the left were we need him to play

Agree0 Disagree0

Greedy sod, wouldn't be in england if it wasn't for newcastle.

Agree1 Disagree0

He is a great player not a Drogba though and can look clumsy but will score a lot of goals in your team!

Where's you demba gone, where's your demba gone !! Good luck lads, whoever wrote up that contract needs shot. Big away days to Leeds next year. FTM

Believable2 Unbelievable2

Your knowledge of football must be limited, we got Demba Ba on a very cheap contract, so, as part of his demands he wanted a clause.

We did not want to take a big gamble on him so as to be fair allowed his contract clause, at the end of the day it was the right thing to do with the pin in his leg.

If clubs just handed out big contracts to every player with a metal rod in their leg they would be in administration pretty fast, Ba was a calculated risk and no mistake was made in the deal.

Agree0 Disagree0

Oh well at least that thought may comfort you on ur way down to London road next year in the rain ftm

Agree0 Disagree0

You have also had ample time to fix him to an improved contract with no clause, oh dear oh dear what will become of the maggots now st. Demba has gone

Agree1 Disagree1

Even with the loyalty bonus to be paid Ba still been a good investment considering goals scored and European competition again plus healthy 5 million profit from a free transfer. Not too shabby for a greedy unloyal mercenary whose agent and family are ruining football

02 Jan 2013 15:06:34
I truly believe that we will be in the relegation battle if we do not sign a LB, CB, MF and two good strike replacements for Ba. But looking back I think we maximum will get Debuchy and a striker.

Ed do you believe we will see two strikers through the door? because we desperately need it. {Ed001's Note - I expect one to arrive, I really can't see there being two coming in.}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Shola is ready

02 Jan 2013 15:00:56
Hopefully we have a striker on hold ready to come straight in. At end of day Ba did not want to stay and will take Sturridge place on the Chelsea bench for better money, sad but true. Time for Cisse to take up the ctr striker roll again hopefully with HBA and Remy alongside him. Lets move on, thank you Demba and good luck

Believable2 Unbelievable0

I cannot wait to see Cisse playing upfront again, I have always prefered our number 9.

Ba will be forgotten about if Cisse puts Everton to the sword this evening.

Chelsea have just activated the "BA-Clause" and he is withdrawn from tonights game !! rubbish news lads.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

At least it's happened at beginning of window? He was always going but need a replacement sooner rather then later!! But who ?

Agree3 Disagree0

If he has withdrawn from tonites game to seek other things then we dont want him if all falls through get rid of him anyway
