Ed I've just looked in the dictionary 2 find out wot banter means and I quote " the playful and friendly exchange of teasing remarks " can u please take this onboard when us friendly sunderland supporters put a remark on your board please x jarra makem {Ed001's Note - the vast majority of posts are just, either repetitive or abusive. If they were friendly, a lot more would make it.}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Ok thank 4 clearing that up ed, just a lot of sunderland supporters r whinging on our site that posts r not getting put up on your site, maybe now they will understand why and change their remaks accordingly because without sounding nasty without banter our rivalry just wouldn't b the same! Good luck 4 next season, as long as yous finish below us ile b fine. Only joking. jarra makem {Ed001's Note - I cover all the sites, and the fans moan on all of them, but they never seem to think that maybe what they were posting might have been done to death, even when they do keep it clean. Half of the posters on every site think that a suitable reply on every post, is to mention a score. That gets extremely boring, so that can lead to deletion after the initial bit of gloating is over.}

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree ed, theirs only so many times u can flog a dead horse (pardon the pun) and it does gets a bit boring when we hear " yous haven't signed any1 nd we've signed 10, our players Wudnt get in yor squad nd vice versa, joke kinnear, our crowds r bigger than yours, u get my point, the truth is I think we r all just getting so bored we just want the season 2 start! because at the end of the day that's wot we r.
" football supporters " jarra makem {Ed001's Note - thankfully it is beginning to get back to actual football! Not long until kick off now.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Thats wrong! i've posted loads of "banter" without any abuse or such like, just general mick taking which is what the mags are putting on our page but none of mine are getting posted, haway mag ED grow up and take the banter, you lot have given it for years and now its our turn youse hide under your rocks {Ed001's Note - if this is your idea of banter and mick taking, then it is no wonder it got deleted! I am not a mag anyway, so if I am deleting something, then you can be damn sure it is not because I am as childish and petty as you obviously are.}

Agree0 Disagree0

SMB just got owned by Ed! Well done son!

If I was manager of the Toon I would pick who I think would be my starting X1 for the game against Rangers and try to keep it to 3 or 4 subs and then I would repeat it against Braga, I can't see the point in playing bits and pieces and chop and changing we need to get settled

Believable0 Unbelievable0

And risk an injury? Also preseason is a chance to give fringe players a chance

Agree0 Disagree0

You risk injury just as much playing 5 or 6 players with fringe players, you risk injury in training. we have played fringe players we know what they can do so let's get our starting X1 on the field

We should sell Cisse for roughly 10 Million. Clearly doesn't want to be here, he also doesn't score enough goals.

Use the money to fund better talent, sign Remy, and bafetimbi gomis and Scott Sinclair.

Easily play SInclair on the left, Remy or Gomis in the middle and Ben Arfa on the right.

This is just a thought, personally if a player doenst want to be here, why keep him?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

How can you say clearly dosnt want to be here. If you had said buy Gomis and Remy and then I repeat then maybe sell Cisse if we don't want him

Agree0 Disagree0

Stupid post, Cisse CLEARLY does want to be here. Did you not see how he celebrated his goal in the friendly in first game back. As for scoring enough had his wrongly disallowed goals counted last season it would of been 20 for the season.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think you'll find tha sunderland conceded less than newcastle last season haha, so if we had the worst defence where does that put yous? get your facts right before you come on here trying to give it the big'n

Some of you thick Geordies are laughable

Agree0 Disagree0

How much did your superior goal difference help you's last season?

You SMB can laugh all you want but the fact that we conceded almost 70 goals last season and you's still finished below us is even more laughable.

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry we struggled on without our top scorer for 10+ games, we have vastly improved our squad and only an person would call altidore rubbish, face fact mags the balance of power is shifting towards Sunderland and you know it!

Agree0 Disagree0

But I thought you's said injuries were just an excuse?
Of course the power is shifting towards Sunderland of course it is we'll let you believe that for the time being, keep telling yourselves this isn't going to turn out like the last two have.

Agree0 Disagree0

The Sunderland management and fans did not bleat on all season about our injuries. Nor did we blame our poor finishing on injuries.
We have gone out and strengthened a poor squad.
What have you done?
Dont bother with saying we have signed rubbish that wouldn't get into your team.
Guitierez?
Obertan?
Williamson?
Gets boring.

Agree0 Disagree0

Why should we face it? We don't need to. You have a manager who's nowhere near the level of Bruce or o'Neil. You have bought in the quantity of players you need, but not the quality that you need. Sunderland will do a QPR this season.

Agree0 Disagree0

Regardless what you say Jeez Newcastle used the most players of all the PL teams last season which was down to mostly injury. Not saying it was the reason we finished were we did but looking at the season we finished 5th we didn't have anywhere near the injuries. Facts speak for themselves. Obertan and Willo only play when we have injuries/suspensions so your point has no legs.

Agree0 Disagree0

Pathetic, excuses excuses excuses.
You have a poor squaq that has been depleted even further. Players that are unsettled. A poor manager, who comes out and says that Guitierez was right about too light training.
Linked with Bent and Gomis?
Best of all, you have Joe Kinnear.
What a circus.

It's certainly quality over quantity this window. I've only seen gomis play once however he looked a complete tank!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Are you sure it wasn't a complete plank?

Agree0 Disagree0

Just another heskey mate

Agree0 Disagree0

I love how people judge players who they have probably never watched on a regular basis.

Agree0 Disagree0

Maybe Car seen him play more times than you

Agree0 Disagree0

I work in france mate seen him a lot and just like heskey!

Agree0 Disagree0

Gomis is pure class. Anyone who says different has not seen him play

Agree0 Disagree0

How would you know who people watch or what players they know about. Just because you sit on FIFA on your play station and see different players who you think are world beaters, makes you think you can judge or comment on others. Makes me laugh, he is crap if he wasn't the teams up and around us would be after him, the likes of spurs, Everton, west brom or Swansea. We should have gone for Bent a proven goalscorer.

Agree0 Disagree0

If he was class he would be at PSG!

Agree0 Disagree0

Of course he's pure class that's why no1 else wanted him. get real who do u lot think u are Madrid. deluded as usual. let's hope he gets off the plane and don't head to London lol

Agree0 Disagree0

He's good enough to play for France. I wish people would stop saying he's bad. He's better than bent! Judge him at the end of the season instead of putting him down now

Agree0 Disagree0

20 goals last season in the poorest Lyon team in years. He's good enough

Agree0 Disagree0

Plenty of good judges wanted Heskey in their team. Point is, will he gel with Cisse? {or Bent, or Remy, or my gran?}

Ok, I'm getting a bit worried now, Three weeks to go and no one in. Today's Gomis news has relieved me a bit, but I won't believe it until I see him holding a black and white shirt with his name on it.

We have got 5 new players in last January, now that they are properly integrated, I believe we are in much better shape than last season but we still need a striker and a winger.
Defense
RB - Debuchy with Santon and Mbiwa as cover CB - Colloccini, Yanga Mbiwa with S. Taylor, williamson
LB - Santon with Haidara and Paul Dummett as cover
DM- Tiote and Sissoko with Anita as cover
CM - Cabaye, Marveux with Sissoko and Vuckic as cover
LM - Ben Arfa (no cover, okay maybe Gouffran, and Obertan)
RM - Gouffran with (Obertan and Jonas) (no other choice)
Striker - Cisse, shola and Gouffran.
these are my views. iToon.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Tavernier can help cover RB, Sammy ameobi will have a breakthrough next season to play RM or LM. Bigirimana can help cover CM, Campbell could go out on loan or could help cover striker. Anita could also play RB. We only need Gomis and Remy and maybe a utility defender or winger then we will have a great squad that could challenge the top 8.

Where or where has the Eggman gone? He's the only one who can tell us the truth during transfer windows!

Eggman, why have you forsaken us?

tv reporting fee agreed for gomis. At last?

Bailey261

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Our look, he'll be like I want to join Spurs or won't accept our contract

Agree0 Disagree0

He is off to marseille

Agree0 Disagree0

Gomis deal nearly done! tv saying Lyon and Newcastle both confirm a fee has been agreed! Just a matter if time!

I knew a but of patience and things would happen! I have faith!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Hes ok i'd rather have bent but he's off to fulham

Agree0 Disagree0

Two Golden rules in football; one, never buy a player from Manchester United. Two, never buy a striker from the French First Division!

Agree0 Disagree0

So you wouldn't have bought Didier Drogba was bought by Chelsea from Marsailles

Agree0 Disagree0

Or Thierry Henry?

Agree0 Disagree0

Henry came from Juve

Agree0 Disagree0

Henry was playing in Italy when Arsenal got him

Agree0 Disagree0

And Monaco, in French Ligue, before that. So your point is what, exactly?

Strange that Bent was supposedly talked to by NUFC when we were told Fulham had bid £4M.
Think we are getting porky pies and some fans are falling for the so called ludicrous nufc offer story.
Clearly his agent is panicking and setting of hares all over to get someone to pay over the odds for his over paid over valued client.
£40k a week is £2million a year not bad I suggest and cannot be construed as an insult.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Totally agree with above post. unfortantly we as a club are at the present time are the club the media love to have a dig at and to stir negative feeling up I for one is sick of it

Agree0 Disagree0

There's f***-all on Newsnow Fulham about Bent. They won't pay Villa's asking price either. Villa are up sh*t creek and will get more and more desperate as the window runs down. Expect a cut-price deal for Bent to Hull or somesuch in the last couple of days.

I'm sick of the current regime. Where is all of this TV money going? Its OK blaming Hall and Shepherd for holes in the accounts. But surely all this owner has done is balance the books and then cream off profits? What's the difference other than an administrative accounting exercise?

Owner needs to sell up, as the club is not his priority. Just a tool to maximise his other businesses through!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

You have no evidence that Ashley is 'creaming off profits', have you? Put up or shut up.

Agree0 Disagree0

Perhaps you can enlighten us all then as to where all the money from season tickets, £60m TV rights, Sponsorship, merchandising and other income is going?
Certainly not into transfers that's for sure.
(Oh and we've lost four player's wages plus those of an MD too).

Agree0 Disagree0

You stated as a fact that Ashley is creaming off profits. It's not for me to explain accounting to the likes of you, it's for you to, as I said before, put up or shut up.

Agree0 Disagree0

Little test for you. Try listing all of the expenditure that a club has to pay. Don't forget: transfer fees; agents fees; signing-on fees; insurance; travel; scouting system; training facilities; staff salaries and wages; bonuses; catering expenses; cleaning; laundry; security; legal fees; medical expenses; property maintenance and improvements; electricity, gas and water; NI; loan repayments; rates?; Corporation Tax?; etc, etc, etc.

Agree0 Disagree0

Has the TV money been paid yet?

Agree0 Disagree0

One thing you were right on, though. Ashley prob does see NUFC as a tool to maximise Sports Direct image.

Agree0 Disagree0

And accountancy fees, hotels, police, spare balls, white paint, blah blah blah.

Agree0 Disagree0

And pies. Don't forget the pies.

So yesterday Redknapp says Remy won't go out on loan and today he says he will. the man knows nothing.

Gomis and Remy to be 'over the line' before the Braga game.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I seen Pardew at Heathrow airport in the BA lounge this morning. Very nice bloke to be honest. Asked him about Gomis deal, he just laughed and said fingers crossed.

Offers on the table have been scoffed at. Have we not been through this before, just like Debucey who was eventually signed 5 months later for around the same price we refused to pay in the Summer.

The whole set up is amateur and you only get what you pay for unless like Ashley he waits for someone to fall off the top shelf.

Only an opinion but this team is in big s. t and will feel the force in a few weeks even being left floundering by W Ham, Swansea, Norwich, Blunderland, Stoke, Southampton and even the newly promoted clubs which means a bottom 3 place until January and then looking for an escape route

Newcastle we deservedly be struggling from day one and the only good thing about that is get a bet on for the team the are playing against.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I think you will find we got Debuchy a lot cheaper by pulling back from that deal.

If a club gets a reputation for being milked over transfers, the next thing every club we deal with will want more money for players we bid on, and will mess us around.

We signed Debuchy for around the 5 million mark, they originally wanted more than 8.

Agree0 Disagree0

The problem we also have is clubs know we are desperate for a striker so that will also bump up the price.

Agree0 Disagree0

Before we sign a player we put a valuation on the player and make a bid for him. If we think he has a lot of potential we will add tops 1.5m. Like debuchy we rated him at 4.5m and Lille thought he was valued at 8m so we made a bid of 6m and then left on the table until January Lille accepted it not because of financial reasons but they bought in a replacement before.

All these rumours of players join u is making my head spin lol. same post Been on all day lol

Believable0 Unbelievable0

The only players good enough to get into the Newcastle team are at Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and Barcelona, your only true rivals. You will beat Man C because you are a big club and they are a small club. They don't even make a profit. You will win the league and take your rightful place in the champions league. No one thinks your club is a joke at all.

why not just buy Remy and have done with it. we can't lose anything by doing so

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Unless he ends up in durham nick, and we all know what they do there!

Agree0 Disagree0

We will lose big if he goes to jail for rape. A loan deal makes perfect sense.
