hey lads, 12 months back I remember us getting excited by the signings. I get the sense that even with major signings many of us will harbour serious concerns about relegation.
what do you think it will take to make the team competitive. My current first team if fit is

Krull
janmaat, dummet, lascelles, Haidira
sissoko, collback, aarons
de Jong, Cisse, perez

need competition for Janmaat, 2 commanding centre halfs, a good consistent left back (haven't had one for years), a deep lying playmaker, a winger and a big target man type striker, possibly 2 if riviere leaves.

My wish list would be:
Carl Jenkinson
Ryan Shawcross
Ron Vlaar
Andrew Robertson
Jonjo Shelvey
Yannick Bolasie
Charlie Austin or Aleksander Mitrovic

Pipe dream though will probably end up with some french players that no one's ever heard of. We need more of a british core/backbone (not overrated ones) and more proven prem experience or in essence "finished products" not "could be's" or "might be good" aka riviere, cabella.

Head coach is most important though, most of the £34m should be going into him and his back room staff, and paying off the contracts of Carver, Stone and Woodman

I like Dummet but still don't think he's ready for DB yet, need to buy 2 experienced, strong, athletic defenders asap so they have time in pre-season to develop and understanding of each other.
