i doubt that he will even get a half against us and i really don't think he will score much in the prem.i don't see what the buzz is all about , yes he has potential but in the championship he scored 13 goals in 65 appearances so i don't thin he will be destroying us anytime soon.

Agree with post above what makes u think Hel even get in ur starting 11? Oh yeah that rite ur teams s**t so he prob will never know may improve the scoreline to 5-2 this yr

Type in newcastle 5-1 Sunderland on YouTube.
then consider Ben arfa running past Titus bramble.

Ha Ben arfa vs bramble lmao
Agree2

Gotta say tho, wit bramble's scoring record you might need to take that back. check out his wikipedia page if you don't believe me. no doubtin this lad is immense
{Ed010's Note -don't trust Wikipedia as a source my friend. It can be edited by anyone, just to prove a point. Regards Ed10

Bramble could not get ant where near Ben Arfa ever He was titus shambles when he was with us and is still a liability
Agree1
Disagree1
Bramble was and is a liability at the back. He can be solid as a rock for 89 mins, but then a moment of madness leads to a goal / red card. . / 2nd goal 2nd yellow. . then you loose the match and curse him for his 'donkeyness'. Shame really he had the potential to be a world class defender.

Ben arfa wont be fit till january at least

Got to say, the mackems coming on this page and making stuff up is getting pretty boring now. {Ed020's Note - there would have been twice as many posts too}
Believable0
Unbelievable0
And you lot don't do the same on our page. ed that's unfair on the sunderland page there seems to be alot more geordie's making up rubbish on our page yet here you delete half them, probs coz you don't want to make them feel as bad as they already do as they know pardew is preparing them for relegation next season
{Ed020's Note - Well if the mackems could have banter without making it innapropriate then maybe the other half would have been posted}

just been on holiday with Dennis Wise and he is still working behind the scenes with Ashley - no big signings coming in - looking at French 'potentials' as well as bringing academy players through - carrol money is in installments and basically will pay debts owed. Club is trying to offload number of player to reduces wage bill ( couple stating want to stay - this is to force clubs hand re payments for not requesting transfer) - Pardrew looking also at Scottish league and championship - Billy Sharp has had early tals, and also Vassel. Contact made with Bellamy's agent but player won't even consider talks. Given also sounded out re return to pacify fans. Says Ashley happy just to keep team in premier for second year and reduce the outlay which will help stabalise the clubs books.
Don't make it too obvious you're a mackem

You're just mad because you've wasted 10mish on someone who scored 13 goals in like 65 apps for ipswich. Go back to your board and cry. Oh and btw it's Wickham not Whickham. Go back to school and learn to spell.

He wants to be at Sunderland so much doesn't he oh wait he only agreed to sign the deal once the release clause was in his contract.
Agree0

There is no truth about the release clause. probably a rumour you lot made up

Yeah cause we made it up and that's why Skysports are saying it.

Yeah, if he turns out to be any good the 13 mil relese clause (with 15% going back to his old club) we will probably buy him. . after all, scumberland are a selling club :P

Sturridge isn't good I'm glad we have pulled out of race to sign him. Nowhere near worth ?Ç£12 million.
Mind don't know who is goodbyo get in alongside ba. I know what I would like but realistically it's not going to be a player more than ?Ç£8 million.
Ashley not going spend anywhere near the 35 million we got off Carroll deal

Dear Mr Ashley,
According to the Evening Chronicle we are not after Sturridge WHY NOT? It even states bidding will start from only £6m. Surely of all the clubs reputed to have an interest in him he would choose us.
I just don't understand why we would pay more for a Turk who is untested in the PL in Erdinc rather than soemone who has shown he can not only score goals but be a constant threat, and he is English.

mike ashley is fuming with himself as he can't go into the transfer market until some of the fringe players are sold he blames himself for paying them big wages which worked to get them out championship but now he wants to move them on no one will touch them as there wages are to high and anymore signings will take club over wages budget hence the help he has offered leeds to get smith out of the club this could also happen to a few other players quiet times at the moment but will pick up once the fringe players have gone

Believable1
Unbelievable0
Yeah it's beyond me but it shows they would rather pay ?Ç£7-8 million on Erding on lower wages and someone who hasn't been tested in Premiership than spend ?Ç£15 million on a player that's shown he can score goals in this league and made it look easy also how Ameobi stays at the club is ridiculous.

Jonas is right footed but spent whole season this season on the left. marveaux is also a left winger. .so sorry but we do need a right winger and n'zogbia fits nicely. zog is left footed but plays on the right for wigan alot. jonas will be on the bench next season id say (unless hes gone but hopefully not).

Im 50 years old and carrying a beer belly AND EVEN I could score more goals than games played in the leagues he has played in, weve had enough donkeys at the club on decent wages and havent earned any of it, Nile Ranger is an example, so lets pay good money and get the right man in for our number 9 shirt.

Do you agree with the Toon buy all these foreign players who sometimes struggle in the winter when the bad weather kicks in or should we buy more home grown players with the new FIFA regs due to kick in.?
Believable4
Unbelievable2
Its 5 home grown players in your squad and we ok there plus when it is introduced it also states that you need 8 plyers who have been at the club for minimum of 3 years so we covered there too. theres method in the madness of getting quality cheap young signings in as they will all qualify

29 Jun 2011 08:44:18
lets face it guys, we won't be signing anyone for a while. we won't go and blow £10-£20 on one player, i can see us buying players we have never heard of. we should have got gardener, would have been great and is ENGLISH, but ashley won't spend more than $4.5m on a player, or get fee agents in. looks like we will be in the bottom half afain, maybe 11th next season, if we are luckly. Really hope barton and enrquie stay and ive a funny feeling they will be both stay. but you don't know whaat willl happen. we will end up buying all these players on the final day of the transfer window.

NEWCASTLE are considering a move for Velez Sarsfield striker Juan Manuel Martinez.
Juan Manuel Martinez, nicknamed The Little Donkey , was a target for Wigan and Blackburn earlier this summer.
But their interest has waned and Newcastle are now among a trio of clubs keen with Napoli and Seville also in the running.
The Argentine international is 25 years old and the Magpies believe he could have plenty of resale value if he is a hit for Alan Pardew s men in the Premier League.
I probably sound negative, but its started to niggle me. Here Goes. . It sounds like Ashley will spend this summer (Not huge ammounts in transfer fee for a single player) but looking to buy 'stars' of tomorrow. Like above says, re sale value seems to be the key in our signings. So does this mean that if our new players have a great season or two, once their value rockets/improves they will be sold? If a £15m bid for Tiote came in now would he reject it? Also, Big IF hoping every player turns out to be a belter. So we may do well in the short term if these players gel and work out but then after 1 or 2 seasons they will be sold for profit and we will have to re build again will we not? Every couple of seasons if players are a sucess? No chance of a settled team in that case. Just wondering if they care about the sucess of the club on the pitch or just want to get rich off these young europeans coming in. Would love to hear what you think to the above. Dont just hit the believable or unbelievable tag, but post a comment and lets get a good banter underway. Ed -any thoughts me old pal. Psycho

Newcastle pre-season starts on the 4th of July, expect more transfer activity then, also I expect most of the signings will be completed before Newcastle fly off to the states, who do I think will come in? Seriously don't have a clue, I have heard various names such as N'zogbia, Barnetta and Darren Gibson, but we don't need more than one of those as we have plenty of midfielders, we need two new top class strikers, don't get me wrong Demba Ba is a decent player but he is not better than what we can get with this £35million. Would like an English forward, someone like Jermaine Defoe or Daniel Sturridge, not some foreign player who is unknown and who would be a gamble.

Dont understand all this rubbish about falling behind the smbs in the transfer market how many they got in 2/3 and to be honest would u want the players they signed?. .No crap like the rest of the team. u gotta remember its not even july yet when it all kicks off so patience is the aim its not about quantity in this case its quality but hopefully we get in both quality and quantity to our waffer thin squad. (WelshToon)
You must also rember the SMB have to replace 6 players before they even start adding to their squad.
Think lua lua may be in a little trouble, so good chance he will be away

Concentrate on your own team signing some DECENT players for a change rather than slagging of SAFC for what we have or havent done yet. .its like by slagging off SAFC youre trying to hide your own teams short falls.

It's what they do to hide all the crap that goes on with their joke of a team. sell your best players it's 5-1 zzzzz or we got more fans or we spend some good money on players it's they crap they will never walk into our team, we signing messi and Drogba blah blah blah get over ego's for once. let the top dogs concentrate on bringing good young players in and we will let you concentrate on bringing in french school boys and selling your better players.
