It's a pre season friendly. We had a make shift back 4 who have played once together, to MFs at full back, both who've hardly played over the last few years, along with Lascelles who's having his 1st few games for us and satka who has only played for the u21's.

I'll tell you what's boll***s art, is that people like you immediately making judgements. GIVE IT TIME AND BE PATIENT. As you probably noticed we've just come off the back of 3 seasons under pardew/carver conceding around 150 goals. NOTHING is going to be fixed overnight. Almost everything in the players routine/training is changing, the style of play is changing, and even if we bring in a top class CB I'd still expect us to ship a fair few goals because as I said things aren't going to suddenly fix overnight.

All I mean is that are strongest side hasn't played full game together were Southampton has played there strongest side for most of pre season and look ready were we don't we haven't even played any one of note ad not played that well I know when we finished 5th we had a terrible pre season getting battered by layton orient so here's hoping

We're still crap. Still messing around with transfers again and I bet sissoko will sold cisse and tiote bringing couple of promising prospects when we need experience same again like last season teams just not ready to start season

southampton have ripped us apart 5 out of 6 games. I don't see anything other than 6 points from the first 10 games. We can't score and we can't defend. Friendly or not if we can't get the basics right against part timers and low division teams then it is not good

to be fair des chelsea lost 4-2 to NY red bulls in their pre season. May I remind you as well those 6 games we played saints it was pardew who was in charge, times have changed now, only pre season but I will judge when we play our first few of our competitive games

If Colo stays I think he could make a good partnership with Chancel. Colo experience with the younger players speed and aerial ability. Yes we need a replacement for Willo.maybe Sawson fm Hull.

If we don't get Austin, and by the way don't think we should pay £15 mill, I would like to see a £5 mill bid for Varney from Leicester or a Beherino.

If Aarons can stay fit and we play Cabella on the right I think a top eight finish is possible.

Can't understand those peeps coming on here insisting we go out and pay th 15 mill for Austin. Yes he scored goals in his first Prem season but that could be BECAUSE he was in a poor team. Defences not concentrating fully or no one else able to score. How many chances did he miss. He hasn't started an England game yet and has had knee and shoulder problems. He is also in the last year of his contract. we should be offering 10 max with add ons depending on goal tally and games fit to play

Agree, we do not need him now we have Mitrovic, I'd rather see us spend £15m on Bearahino to add more pace to the attack.
