You mean like last summer. Get real.

Agree0 Disagree0

So if they like to hold the cards close to their chest how would you know? Who was the big name last season? Anita?

The thing that grieves me most about the last few weeks is the lack of communication. 2 1/2 thousand fans travel to Blackpool for a friendly that speaks volumes from the supporters, deadly silence that shows contempt from the managment. Des Toon

Gomis deal dead what a surprise I'm a season ticket holder for 20 yrs and all I can say is I really don't care anymore

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Who said the Gomis deal was dead?

Newcastle are backing away because of the current demands Lyon are asking. The deal is 'not' dead.

Agree0 Disagree0

Wilkos have a good deal on the hankys at the moment mate

Can someone please tell me what Joe Kinnear is doing as we don't seem to be making any progress. If I didn't achieve my targets at work I would be sacked.

I think we will sign bent that's it. As a season tickets holder Ashley is taking the piss out of real supporters. What a credit to the club us supporters are, was at Blackpool yesterday fantastic support that should be watching a good team, not looking forward to season going to be a long dark winter. pardew will be out by november.

Ashley out now.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Ashley out now but some of your deluded fans are wanting him to spend 20m+ on players? when will you guys learn that it's always false promises every season agent mike wants his money back and he brought in agent joe to unsettle your joke manager and club more!

Agree0 Disagree0

Deluded? What is deluded is your new false start under the joke that is PDC and his desperate attempt to keep buying average players and you lot thinking your dark horses next season.

Sky are reporting Newcastle have pulled out for Gomis after a transfer fee could not be agreed with the two clubs. So there's anyone forward not coming. We are down to Bent and Remy Wounder if they pie us off aswell because remy already has done that once. Love how Kinnear wants us to be a top 4 club but won't spend hardly any money. He must think that his football knowledge which is better than anyone at Newcastle will be enough to get a top 4 spot.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

The offer is still on the table. Typical of Ashley to get us in to another stand off. Guessing that Lyon are hoping someone else comes in for him if not we will get him Lyon cannot afford to have a player run down a contract so they will surely take the 7 million rather than lose him for nothing. Just another comical week, as it stands we have one good striker for the new season and it isn't Shola.

Note to the trolls there is no problem with cisse and the club he wasnt match fit and club have stated he will play tomorrow night so that's blown your poo out the water, gomis is close reckon another bid of 8m will tie deal up, as for remy I wouldn't dismiss the loan option would get him off qprs wage bill and allow them to give us an oiption of buying in a year if they don't get promoted

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Newcastle have walked away from the Gomis offer. Remy will stay in London. Bents wages will be too high. Any more ideas. Maybe be can sign kuqi again.

Hi Joe here I ain't got a clue!

Question for Joe Kinnear, What exactly are you supposed to be doing??

See the senior players at the club have been complaining to Pardew saying training is too EASY.

The clubs a joke, amateur from top to bottom.

Training, tactics, style of play stays the same, getting left behind. The clubs stagnant even going backwards.

Another long season ahead.

The mackems have improved coaching, training, scouting, squad, style of play. Mackems get coaches etc from inter Milan nufc get kinnear.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Maybe you should support Sunderland if you are so impressed by them.

Seeing as Newcastle are a such a joke and ''amateur. ''

What a shame none of this is based in fact.

Btw, one player said this, and he was talking about how much training has improved. ''Improved'' is supposed to be a good sign.

I guess you do not remember that we had players burned out the season before, then we came into the next season with a European campaign to handle, and a squad reshuffling with players going out on loan, and 5 french speaking players coming in who had to be integrated.

Have fun watching Sunderland with their toothless strike force and lack of full backs. I have never seen a squad add 10 players and go backwards before, but, if you are impressed by all that, by all means you have every right to be.

Agree0 Disagree0

Only one team going backwards and it certainly isn't us.

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't know how you dare mag? you think beating a team like spurs 1-3 in a tournament and beating your two bogey teams 0-3 and 1-0 in 2 games and the improveing your scouting network and bringing in good international players aND competition is going backwards? then my sad mag friend you are in for a long season and surely the sensible mag fans will agree

Agree0 Disagree0

Well done in beating Spurs reserves. Good internationals? First derby win in how long? Your banging your drums again and where has that got you in the past. Sensible people wait until they achieve something before shouting about it. Not the Mackems though, another false dawn awaits.

Agree0 Disagree0

Sunderland only beat Spurs because they were playing in conditions similar to a rice field. If that match was played on a good flat surface, Spurs would have ran them off the park.

This may sound like a stretch of the imagination, and it probably is but, I wonder if we are actually going to get a good season out of Shola.

It would be legendary if he had one season where he banged in 20+ goals, what a sight it would be to see a player we have put so much time and faith in come good and light the stadium up.

Stranger things have happened.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

He's going to be in the last year of his contract so he might put in a bit more effort in an attempt to earn a new deal.

Don't expect any miracles though - this is still the same old Strolla that we're talking about here.

Agree0 Disagree0

He'll get injured 10 mins after coming on. you do realise, he played 3 times, scored 3 goals and been injured 3 times already as well.

Agree0 Disagree0

Would be great if he did, but I've seen him have great pre-seasons before and then nothing to follow it. Wouldn't expect this season to be any different IMO.

Agree0 Disagree0

Since we were promoted in 2010 he has made 33 appearances, 45 sub appearances, 9 goals. Enough said.

Agree0 Disagree0

Good season, he scored against championship standard teams in friendlies, abit optimistiv aren't you!

Agree0 Disagree0

Shola is terrible! Please don't believe the hype with the 3 goals. He'll be back to his usual once he gets the contract
