did anyone read Malcolm Macdonalds piece In one of the papers today (Sunday sun i think) he thinks were going to be title contenders next year. personally I think that's a couple more years away, but the lads have surprised us this season, so... there's always the chance....

We'll be in europe next season and are going to have to build on the squad massively if we want to do well in both competitions. Look at Stoke this season

Man c manu spurs arsenal chelsea liverpool all thought they would be in euro league at the end of this season and we turned up. 7 into 4 wont go but it will be great if we are in a fighting position to qualify again next season

Once again the HAHA ending, guys be honest if Sunderland got Euro football next season, would we be on their banter/rumour page like this? I don´t think so as almost all Geordies have good morale and loyalty - they also see football FAIRLY something you Mackems cannot seem to do! SMB

Bubble we are on the same points as Spurs and one ahead of Chelsea it has been a fantastic season even if we loose the last 3 games, what a sad little Mackem ye are just rubbish and will never be more than a mid table team

Yeah wont be good i think, but weve done well this season,and if someone said the last 4 games of the season ya will be in with a shout of champ lge you would of said there mad. so we just need to enjoy these last 3 games , win lose or draw lets get behind the lads. by the way a was at wigan yesterday we were poor but wigan were great passing and movement,think they have been short changing there boss, we have just got to hold ya hands up and say they were better on the day

well pardew just got it wrong today simple as that... we were set up wrong and wigan just seemed to adapt easily to whatever was changed.
for the chelsea game i think we have to make 2 changes... simpson out for ryan taylor, and williamson out for perchino, i know we have defended well in the last few games before todays disaster plusour run wouldnt go on forever. at times today it looked like santon was our only defender on the left as colo had to keep coving for the total incompitance on the right side of defence... we may as well had 9 players on the pitch with simpson and williamson still in bed
wigan are an in form team. with wins against, man u, arsenal and liverpool recently, and they should have beat chelsea as well but were screwed by the ref as seems to be the norm...
ed what did you think on the game? {Ed001's Note - I didn't see it, I was out all day with my daughter yesterday, so I can't give any opinion on it, though I can give an opinion on the new Avengers film.....}

Siad this a while ago, and this kid is top class, watched him in the europa matches and i remember one game he had the opponents left back ran ragged tht he was on the floor with cramp by 70 mins, but alas i feel there may be others in, and can imagine birmingham wantin big bucks for a definate future star

Ok we lost to Wigan, but they scored their chances and we did not. I would have been more worried if we had not created any chances. On paper maybe we should have beaten them, but football is not played on paper. We have had an immense season and hopefully next year we can push on and move up into the CL places.
I am happy that we have been able to mix it up with the so called big teams in the prem who have spent millions more than we have and are in a similar position. We could still finish with a CL place, but like AP said, there is no pressure. At the start of the season if someone had said you would finish 5th or 6th I would have taken that no problem. Our team is still growing has not yet reached its potential. Looking forward to next season already.... HWTL

What a shame smoggies did not get to the play-offs. Was hoping for enough North East derby in the big league to but to the sword. And prove the Toon are the best club in the North. Losser Makems will never bet use again.

Boro the northeast only cup winners and european cup finalists of the 21st century.
Boro are the northeast biggest club with regards to trophy wins in recent years and cup finals, europe etc.
Attendances mean nothing juventus get poor crowds and they are a gigantic club.
