Must be a mackam

Agree16 Disagree3

Why, because it is the truth? We had loads of games like this last year and only a combination of bad finishing, Krull excellence and Simpson goal line clearances along with Cisse's lucky wild shots going in meant we acheived what we did. We are worse this year than last because most teams now play with 5 in midfield and we just get swamped when the oppo have the ball and have to hump it long and hopefull when we have it and none of our strikers has a good first touch so invariably it keeops coming back. Mark my words we will be lucky to finish in the top 8 and our stars will be off in the summer in search of CL football, still HBA, Cabaye, Tiote, Collo, Krull, Cisse, Santon will bring in good money and at least then we can pay back MA. In case you wonder why I did not mention Ba its because he is off in January IMO, it is no coincidence that he has not played in the Europa League so he is not cup tied for a CL side. Before you say it I am not a mackem.

Agree5 Disagree6

At last, the above poster is talking sense.
I am a mackem and agree whole heartedly. Just shows how many newcastle "fans" have blinkers on!

Agree2 Disagree8

Not sure I like a mackem agreeing with me but in the interests of fairness you spent £12.5m net in the summer and we spent £3m and we are still much better you. How do you feel having a Newcastle player as your top scorer in October? Fletcher going down again!!

Agree5 Disagree2

Not sure about much better dude, personally i dont think you exactly played us off the park the other weekend.
Money wise you have spent loads more money than us over the years and achieved little more to be fair.

Agree2 Disagree8

While I don't think we are playing well at the moment I don't agree with you scathing assessment of the team. Our stars will be off in the summer? This was said last season and it didn't materialise. Our finish last season was no way down to luck. Krul is paid to make saves as is Simpson to defend. All teams have luck at some stage of the season. You finish where you deserve to finish in the PL. Our problem at the moment is to find a settled formation when this happens we will be fine. As for not being a mackem, not a chance you are a nailed on one. No toon fan talks like you.

Agree8 Disagree1

I posted the original post and lets get a few things straight im not a mackem ,are we playing well if so when ,serious lack of investment in squad is there for all to see,we got lucky against everton and reading with poor decisions from officials, and again at the weekend with what can only be described as a lucky goal against wba, having looked 2nd best for much of the game.take away these points and we would be where safc are in the league having played agame more, and they are in a relegation battle.we have struggled to dominate any games this year and have not played well.so whoever called me a mackem take off the blinkers and start watching the games wether you like it or not theese are facts

Agree3 Disagree4

Liono74 get ya blinkers offya smb you'll never be as big as us .always be in own shadow 2in the prem .2 seasons champions league qualifications semis and quater finals in Europe a couple of fa cup finals and semis .Europe qualification numers seasons .thats just off the top of my head .and you say we have achieved no more than you lot .thats why you are called s.m.bs

Agree8 Disagree2

These are not facts. Like I previously said we are not playing particular well. Although they has been some good passage of play during all games we have played this season we are earning whatever luck you think we are getting. Look at the fixtures just played this weekend, plenty of good fortune for teams. The team is working is just as hard as last season so that is a positive. The performances will come. Good teams win games while not playing well.
I doubt you even attend games, you can't even spell the keepers name right which is a little bit suspect to your real colours.

Agree4 Disagree0

I posted the scathing assesment and I stand by it and I am not mackem just a realist who can make an informed judgement on what I see rather than just be blinkered to the problems. If we do not finish in at least a Europa League our stars will be off and may even be then. All the players I listed could easily earn double elsewhere and they have stayed loyal thsi summer (although Cabay's head was turned and his form is affected) but I just cant see them doing so elsewhere, so unless we finish in a CL place and can afford big pay rises or MA changes the structure some if not all will be off, IMO.

Agree1 Disagree6

You've got to be a mackam .your a real ray of sunshine if your not,

Agree5 Disagree0

Why so concerned if people go? there will always be other players if not better ones. Keep calm and trust Graham Carr!

Agree0 Disagree1

Could be worse , could be a makem ! While we are just ticking along until euro break sfc are in free fall !

Happy with the 3 points but the second half was awful. We need to go back to 433 we look all over the place playing 442. Possession play today was really poor.

Believable11 Unbelievable0

Hopefully now after seeing Jonas at fullback we can see that he is no good there. WBA targeted that side in the second half.

Agree9 Disagree0

I thought jonas was our best player. Cant stand people bitching about him.

Agree5 Disagree17

Best player what you game you watching?
Jonas offer very little to the side now. Would rather see Bigi in the middle with Cabeye and Tiote.

Agree11 Disagree1

Jonas is a good player, but even good players have bad games in Jonas' case yesterday he was terrible (ive actually seen a one legged footballer play have better times).
I think the time is now to switch back to 4-3-3 if Ba or Cisse spit a dummy out Pardew should tell them were they stand! I think this would be a lot better to have that sub in Ba or Cisse sitting on the bench to come on for the other. At this moment we really dont have anything else to chuck at a team, the start XI is all we have and teams know that now

Agree3 Disagree3

Granted Jonas offered very little yesterday but was Cabaye any better?
This guy is just not doing it consistently at the moment. Beginning to wonder whether his reputation is actually bigger than his talent.

Agree2 Disagree2

We bought Cabeye for control in the middle of the park. We now play for whatever reason back to front as quick as possible. Both Cabeye and Ben Arfa had to come so dep for the ball yesterday. Cabeye is more effective when we play 3 in the middle so he has more freedom to dictate play.

Agree5 Disagree0

I will always be grateful for the shifts Jonas has put in for the club. But he is lost in the middle of the park. He takes to many touches and cannot see a pass and constantly slows the play down. We should play Tiote, Cabeye and Marveux in there.

Agree7 Disagree1

Id play Obertan at the moment, he has looked good in Europe recently.

Jonas is still class, but is playing out of position. When Tiote plays it gives him more freedom to go forward.

Newcastle 2-1 West Brom
I thought it was going to be a sh*t point but Cisse needed that luck to get his first goal of the premier league. But seriously, we can't keep on sitting on 1-0 leads. But in that game, whenever we attacked through the middle, we only seemed to have have support from behind or slightly on the side. It was a lucky win. But i want to see more convincing wins. S Taylor needs to come back in to the defence and cisse definitely starting against Liverpool. But 3 points are 3 points. But one thing we really need to improve is corners and free kicks. We never seem to capitalise from them. Cabaye's deliveries were poor. But we really need to get something from our next three or four games including liverpool.

God I really don't want demba ba to leave. If I was pardew, i'd be itching to give Ba a fresh new contract. But I'd prefer to see Ba go to PSG than Liverpool. If he did go we'd probably need two new strikers. A replacement and a cover striker. I'd go for Bent and Eder. Thoughts anyone?

Team for west brom i think we should play:
Krul

Santon S Taylor Coloccini Jonas

Obertan Cabaye Tiote Ben Arfa

Ba Cisse
The reason i think Gutierrez should play left back and ben arfa on the left wing is because that Jonas will give more support to HBA than Simmo does and Santon on the right because he played well against brugge. I hope we beat west brom convincingly and not one of those 1-0'ers. I hope for like 3-1 or 4-1 win. But West brom are a very strong team under Clarke. But i can just see us knocking them off their perch and for us to get our season back on track. Howay the lads!

Believable5 Unbelievable2

Joan's is and never will be a fullback. 2 fullbacks should be Anita and santon.

Agree7 Disagree1

Also tiote is banned. Keep up.

Agree7 Disagree4

I know tiote is banned! sorry, i was doing this from my phone. to ambitious!

Does anybody think its a waste of time being in Europe. It's spoils the season playing on Sundays and you lose track of the premiership. Your squad gets stretch. More injuries. More games. But more money for cashley etc. Bobby.

Believable1 Unbelievable2

Not at all gives the club a bigger profile which gives a bigger pool of players to try and sign.

Agree1 Disagree0

Simple answer no! European football puts us on the map again. Players are more likely to come to us than other premiership teams. And the experience ferguson, bigi, Sammy etc are gaining is priceless. If it means we can finish fifth or sixth get European football next season I think a trophy won't be far off in the next couple of seasons.
